*exhales a sigh of relief* FINALLY! I was finally able to convert this baby to an AVI file from the mac I made it on at school.

My Number One (Elena Paparizou) (http://www.sendspace.com/file/ke60s4)

I was looking to upload it to youtube, but it's being fucky right now... the quality is also not the greatest, but I had to convert it to AVI, like I said, so please bare with me.

This is my first music video ever that I directed and edited. I chose the actor (Nichole, a friend from school), the Greek outfits, and was the one that wanted a dance routine. The deadline was before spring break but seeing as how I didn't want it to come out shitty I decided to turn it in late and work on it during spring break and edit it to perfection the following week. In truth, I didn't expect it to turn out so good. It's a revelation!

So, feast your eyes on Tana's official debut as a music video director! <3 Comments and critiques are highly appreciated, and I really wanna know what you guys thought (don't give me just a sentence, give me some DETAIL!) although if you really are so awestruck then I suppose that's okay.

As is obvious, I'm NOT in the fucking video. Too bad.

I excite. *is Borat*

Made in iMovie since Video Comm I students don't get to work in Final Cut.

What shitty injustice, what's the point of not immediately settling in with Final Cut Pro?

At any rate it's really good for a debut music video~ just a few adjustments would've made this more spunky than how it currently is.

I'm a video student myself, and I have a few crits for the images. I think you could've been more conscious about the lightening and as a consequence done a much more sick job with it. (This goes especially for when they're inside) The lightening would've helped drastically in bringing out the subject(s) better.

It's hard to get the sun's rays the way you want and I'll give you that, but just be careful with where exactly you film when its biinding bright outside, and to especially adjust the settings. At one point the sun was chilling from behind the singer so she was kinda overshadowed, (Unless it was done on purpose?) and sometimes the rays are just baldfasifafsdf all over my face.

Also film on a tripod, it's much easiler and avoids the camera from fidgeting so damned much.

Relatively sultry stuff though. :^D

Because the computers they are on are limited unfortunetely

Thanks, my teacher said the same exact thing. He actually liked the outside scene with the sun part but he also told me that the lighting could have been better if given the chance. But there was nothing we really could have done for some of the scenes... for the dancing in the gym, it was really late and my dancers were all tired and so what we could do was limited. I was tired of yelling at them to get it right so I just told them to do the best they could do. fasdfasd Another critisicm my teacher had was for me to have more variety in the gym shots, and I definitely agree. If my dancers were feeling more energetic and if some of them hadn't come so late at night... >_<

fdasfsd but back to your original point, I was rushing to get this done and so I couldn't be too picky, but I will definitely keep it in mind next time.

Indeed. You can tell that with some of the scenes I didn't have a tripod. But in some of the somes I managed to not be shaky with the camera even though I didn't have a tripod. *is proud* I would have gotten one if I could though. It was over spring break and my teacher didn't leave the effing tripod thingy open or the camera thing opened because he left on vacation. :nag: But I did manage to get a hold of the camera keys, thank God... just not the tripod. -_-

Thank you~ Show me some of your stuff sometime!

I knew you'd say that. :'(
