Voted by a variety of judges from many famous sources, otherwise known as me..

This game was awful, it could have been really good but after long time playing (20 minutes) I found the flaw of this game. That being DISNEY. Nothing against the old childhood films but I draw the line when your main party is made up of a Kid, a hyperactive Duck and a retarded ..urr Dog?? (Goofy).

The game slowly gets worse with new weapons, ridicoulsy called Keyblades which you can viciously beat shadows and various other death-bringing monsters such as a the obese heartless or.. oh my favourite the flying latern :rolleyes:.

When your in a tough battle and you think "Hey! This is a Square game, lets get the summons out", in a normal game Ifrit could help but ohh no.. lets use Bambi! :nod:

Lego Block or whatever they were called was a pathetic idea which failed to work as you could leave your ship in one stop and usually fly through "levels" without getting hurt..

I'm sure Furin can thing of more rants...

Weapons - KEYS. House key vs. Sephiroth = pwned? :ohmy:

Story - I learnt today that KINGDOM HEARTS IS A THING. I played it and never knew. I thought it was just a random name for it something to do with heartless or gfdghfdj.

I think mixing Disney with FF is the shittest idea ever. And what baffles me more is people MY AGE enjoy this game. Well, the only person i know hasnt played all the FF to even understand/care about the FF characters. :cunning:

Pfft, there isnt anything wrong with KH! You're all just to afraid to enjoy disney things :nod:. Every single Disney movie EVER made is corny because they have morals and such for children. I think Square incorporated both final fantasy and disney together well and made the disney elements more adult for everyone to enjoy.

He uses a key because slicing someone in half isnt really suitable for children (though beating someone with a massive metal key probably wouldnt be pretty either). Summons were kind of a weak part of the game because they were pretty useless but there was a little improvement in KH2. Yes the characters can be unbearable at parts but you can get used to them.

The game was succesful so we win.

Yeah the storyline was interfering with my excessive tea-drinking habit and walking back-and-forth from my room to the kitchen in my large stately manorhouse was waaay to much trouble for seriously Kingdom Hearts playing!.

Anyway, THE_BLACK_MAGE, you could at least say why its not a bad game buy commenting on the things the others have said rather that taking a random dig at england, which by the way is only going to get you laughed at and not insult anyone very deeply. ;)

I didn't mind KH tbh. The battle system was alright, i agree summons where useless but then you didnt really NEED them. This is in no way the worst game ever though. :lol: I put my vote on X-2. :ohmy:

hmmm, i think KH had some major flaws like having disney on there and some of the voice cast but to me the story and gameplay isnt that bad, but dont 4get the same people who r doing KH r doing versus

p.s. i agree with Kadaj in saying the X-2 was pretty bad

Exactly, the game did have flaws and it was very disney at parts but im guessing alot of people thought it was gonna be really bad when it turned out to be pretty good. Disney combined with FF automaticlly sounds bad but they made it tastefully.

Tasteful is running around levels finding the poor lost dalmations or somehow helping Hercules overthrow the evil Underworld by.. smashing barrels!

This game was a poor excuse from merging two of the biggest franchises ever into one game, true FFX-2 was a terrible terrible game but that was because it had the words Final Fantasy slapped on the front (I'm waiting for _THE_BLACK_MAGE to defend that!), but this ...*shudders* ..

Ahh well I've been requested to stop "bashing" Kingdom Hearts, and I'd hate to have to make another account after this gets banned soo..

*coughs*

I didn't like KH as it felt much more of a cash-in using the kid Final Fantasy characters as a selling point, who didn't really make an appearance. This game aswell as Final Fantasy X-2 damaged my faith in Square(-Enix) making a classic game again.

Plus, I played this game when I wasn't bored of the Final Fantasy series' similiarities in each game.. but I'll have a proper Final Fantasy debate with you Kit when you have played all the good games (no.. not Final Fantasy X)..

And back to your original question this wasn't a "Final Fantasy" game, just using the name, brand and characters to sell which left quite a bland, cheesy game on level with "Simpsons: Hit And Run".. and somehow got popular!

No more posts from me... KH isn't fun to laugh at anymore :(

I really had no problem with KH. Opinions really differ, mainly depending on the age of the player and the PERSONALITY of the player. ESRB ratings aren't just to say what it has in it, they're also to say what age would probably prefer it. If you play an E rated game and think it's crap, don't complain about it.

I have the type of personality that likes KH. It was an amusing enough waste of a few days. Do NOT go off insulting the game a ton and flaming people who like it or hate it just because of your opinion. If you do so, you're just wasting your time. ^_^

By the way, it's hardly the worst game ever... Have you ever played "Ball Breakers"?
You're my new best friend! Thats exactly the kind of thing i wanted to say. Just because some of you dont like its themes dont flame it please, try and tolerate it. The game was different and im sure you cant hate all aspects of it soo much you have to call it "Worst Game Ever". It may have ruined your own vision of FF but you have to remember its a seperate game which doesnt affect Clouds sword size <_<

I agree, you guys all say how you like it, nick says how he doesnt like it. But i agree with Nick on this oen though. Theres no real point in sticking Disney with Final Fantasy. IMO if they had put to RPG's together it would have been cooler. For example, putting some 3D Grandia with final fantasy. Although i havent played Grandia so i cant really say aboutt that one, but even a .Hack game intergrated would have been better. (.Hack isnt a massively great game but some of the characters are cool).

The ONLY thing i like about X-2 was the fact that in battle it actually kept that thing were if you kill an enemy you sometimes surround them :0.

also square did the combo of ff and disney right! and i enjoyed "most" of the disney worlds (aka atlantica( and for you disney haters little mermaid)) the fact is the game isn't based on disney its more like a trip to the past sorta you get to interact with all those favorite disney characters from you childhood. and the whole concept of the heartless and nobodies rock. and this game has one of the funnest battle systems i've ever played. some people just don't apreciate origonal games, its sad. btw, soras cool...but riku rocks. and the final bossed have always been awsem...DEAL WITH IT!!!!!!

Ok THE_BLACK_MAGE needs to calm down. In my opinion KH2 is one of the best games that I have ever played. It is visually impressive, all of the origanal KH characters look very awesome. And the new take on some of the older Disney characters look great. The gameplay is fun and the battle system is easy to master. The Disney worlds look good and the new KH2 worlds are interesting. The voice acting is awesome (won the award for Best Voice Acting on G4's Gphoria). Also if it wasn't for KH I would have never discovered Utada Hikaru. I understand that there are a bunch of people who don't like this game but all I know is that I really really like it. And I don't mind when people make fun of it, they bring up some interesting points. I think it would be fun to argue with people about it. I wouldn't actually get mad at them though.

Great story line
Reminds me of the good ol times , but slighty cooler look.

It was..."eccentric" but it was good to play someone other than Sora. Still wtf is up with SE allowing Roxas dual wield (with no form) while Sora has to be in one to dual weild?!

Twas only in the battle vs Axel right so I don't think its such a big deal. I liked that battle, and the battle where you fight off heartless as Sora alongside Axel. I've used that keyblade you get for him for quite some time...
And I liked the beginning of the game too especially since once you progress further in the game you understand it better.

Wow. That's all I have to say. I cannot even fathom what some people have said about KH in this thread. The Kingdom Hearts series is amazing. Plain and simple. Some people see something wrong with Disney in the game? Pssh, man, Disney and SquareEnix are to absolute juggernauts, and them combining for this series was pure genious. I've seen people who haven't even played it just judge it and say it sucks. The game is absolutely amazing. Most who've played it will tell you just how good the story in the games are. I respect your opinions, and if you hate the game, cool with me. That's your opinion. But seriously...worst game EVER?!?!:blink: Like the game or not, idk how someone can say that with a straight face. Speaking of straight faces, I can no doubt say this series is just on par with FF as far as I'm concerned. Both games EASILY rank in my top 10 games of all-time list.

Don't blame me if you've only played 10 games in your life. Its impossible to believe that Square had a hand in this sloopy RPG-cum'-platform game, it confuses me as to why people believe that the story of this game is good, give me a piece of paper and in 3 minutes a better story that "Save King Mickey" shall be written. Another thing, I could understand seven year olds playing this but teenagers wanting to play as Donald Duck.. impossible, a game without decapitation's via chainsaw being in a top 10?!

I've enjoyed all 3 Kingdom Hearts games and I can't really understand why some people take such great offence to them. To me it's a fun action RPG that just happens to feature worlds based on Disney films. The main characters in the games are original creations (Sora, Riku, Kairi etc) and it's about their journey - the Disney stuff is just background, really.

Have you ever heard of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde on the NES? Now that is a genuine candidate for the title of worst game ever!

I thought it was awesome. It doesnt hold a candle to FF, but since I'm a big Disney fan, I thought it was a very cool idea.

IMO I thought KH1 was better in terms of story and plot but KH2 is way better in the gameplay.
