I wasnt sure if it would be a good thing at first because it looked like Google were just trying to buy off their main competetor against Google Video. It looks like all theyre doing is owning the company and all the staff are gonna continue running it as it is.

Cant be too bad :P

well the only way i could be offened if if they change the name, cause i heard somwhere that its going to be called "GoTube" insted of "YouTube" and i guess its not bad, but to me gotube sounds retarded. God i hope its just a rumor>_<

But if we can be able do have PSP and iPod downloads as in Google Video it would be fantastic. Only for those who would allow it of course. But we will now see a storm of videos in googles adsence.

I actually heard this on the news while running out of the house this morning that YouTube will maintain it's identitiy meaning it will stay YouTube. And yes that feature on Google Video is fantastic. They should definitely bring that feature to YouTube.

Yeah, I heard that Google wasnt going to make any changes e.g. keeping the existing staff, even the founders running it while Google reaps the benefits. Of course if they're associated with Google they could become even more popular with a bigger budget. I really hope they allow PSP downloads aswell. I dont own a PSP but i shall sometime :P

oh thank god on how they arnt going to make any changes ^_^ then i have obections wats so ever, and the idea of downloading this on ur psp would be awesome!!!!

It will save you the trouble of downloading and then coverting. And the converting videos takes a long time. But until then I recommend PSP Media Manager, it costs a bit but it's definitely worth it.

I don't use it much, only for the coverting mostly. But it is, at least, a step up from hooking up your PSP and managing your files through My Computer.

as long as they don't make any radical changes, I think it's a great idea. theres loads of stuff on google video, that would compliment what they have on youtube perfectly.

And having it all in one place would make everything so much easier.
I constantly have to go between them both to catch the last half of a tv series, or afew random episodes that I cant find on whichever im using at the time.

Google aren't going to make any changes. Just most of the videos that are on Google video will be redirects to youtube.com
