What do you think of 2008 so Far?

Most people thought it'd be a year of grerat things. But i dont think so. Sure, theres the presidential election (get outta here, Bush.) and new video games and movies and more, but, when looked upon as very serious, is this year going to be worse than any year we've lived in? take the rising gasoline prices. theyre frigging soaring up now. Later on, society would become its own enemy once everything we need is gone. Also, on a more personal note, the recent gang violence in California. i had a friend who was killed by gang members. has society gone mad over power or does it need another revolution?

note: if i offend anyone, im sorry.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend Ares... my condolenses go to you and your friend's family and friends... but that's always been one of CA's problems or even the U.S.'s problems ;x ... although I've personally been fortunate to be in a community that doesn't have too much gang-related violence... compton, or just the L.A. area? maybe elsewhere?

To be honest I haven't really had the best time this year. My grandfather passed away, lots of stress and depression, and we're already in March. It went so fast and so many things happened, we are already 1/4 into the year until a lesser crowd than the previous years will gather around the town square to count down to year 2009. Presidential elections are almost a joke, and it seems that with each new year, there are more idiots and jerks you have to deal with...

But, to have a paradigm shift... we *still have* 9 months of the year left. I'm gonna keep my head held high because I know that there are good things bound to happen and memories to be made for those walking cane years lol.

So let's keep our hopes up and look out for the good times yea Ares? 'Cause this year ain't over yet! :P

I have a perfect year.^^ 2007 was very good. This year is extremely good but you are on something. Looks like the world is falling apart. Hope not. Yes Gasolin is very expensive her in Norway too.

We've just had the budget report over here in Britain. Budget - otherwise known as "How can we screw the largest amount of people over as possible?".
I can see things getting a lot worse before they get better.

To be honest, this years been pretty blah for me, not bad, but not good. Im moving in January next year and its a pretty big thing so 2008 is really just filling time until then.

this year is different then any other year, but that counts for every singly year. 2006 is different from 2007 and 2008 is different than 2007... no year is perfect, there is always something wrong. For example take a look at Tibet and China.
We all experience a "year" differently. In the end it's how you decide to live your life in this year. Bad things happen...
I guess what I'm trying to say is a year is just a year, it's how you personally make something out of it.

to me it just another year, there will be some good things to happen and some dissapointments. the more time goes on the more polution will be produced, so the weather may be a little bit more worse this year, and usualy prices go higher ever year which is a downer aswell.

i cant say what good would happen but as far as it go's i can't say if this is a better or worse year yet as its only the start of the year.

I really have a good time now watching Bleach and certian scenes and fights8powerful) makes my adrenaline go up. Could it be better? No. I think not. Still ordering lots of soundtracks for a low price on amazon but it is a really shock that this world is corrupted. I never thought saying it that way but that's the truth.

So far, 2008 has been relativly good.
There has and is bound to be ups and downs, due to the fact this is my ultimatum year in which its sink or swim on whether i pass my GCSE's and get into college in order to persue my ideal job.
