Best Villain

Well, we all know the villains play a big role in FF. Often times, becoming more popular than alot of the main hero cast. So out of the choices (as I'm only going to pick the top 4 favorites villains) who is your favorite? Based on different opinions, the range seems to have Sephiroth, Kefka, Kuja and Ultimecia as the top 4 best/favorite FF villains.

Sephiroth always bitched too much about his mother, i never really liked him because of that.

I picked Kefka simply because he destroyed the world, became a god and made shitloads of people suffer just for the sake of it. Oh, and he's a clown. Can't get better than that.

I voted for Ultimecia cause she is the most mysterious one of them all imo. We don't really get to know much about her throughout the game. Nevertheless what we do know about her seems really sad.
The compression of time... i like that, her desire to make one moment last forever...I wonder what that moment was *ponders*.
Also the last battle and her last words: Time...it will not wait... No matter how hard you hold on. It escapes you.
I kinda felt sorry for her.

you may think of him as puppet, I cant agree but if you think this way you could say Darth Vader from SW was a puppet of Emperor, but does it mean he wasnt badass?

I voted Sephiroth because, well, because alot of things, but i am not one of those fanboys you guys are talking about. One of the reasons i chose him was because if i were him i would have went insane as well, he always stayed calm, he makes funny comments in battle and he's graceful when he fights (two of those weren't from the original FFVII i know) I was stuck between him and kefka, Kuja, he's just ugly, especially the way he dresses plus i don't like his attitude and Ultimecia i don't know enough about, we weren't really told much about her as someone else said. So i would choose either Kefka or Sephiroth, but i went with Spehiroth.

But in terms of coolness, Sephiroth will always be the definite villain. If it weren't for his somewhat lame background, he would be the best all-time FF Villain. Yeah, his puppet-like demeanour sometimes pissed me off to no end... how can such a crybaby be the ultimate ownzorer of a game?

I do like them all, but I think the whole Ultimecia possessing Edea thing was brilliant. Her speech in Deling City is one of the most iconic moments in any Final Fantasy for me, she tells them they're scum and they applaud! I got goosebumps. (and yes I count all Edea possessed moments as Ultimecia)

Sephiroth!!! I admit I am a crazy nutball of a fangirl, BUT I'm not shallow. Yes I think Sephy is VERY appealing but I also like him for his personality too, both as a good guy (CC) and a villain. I like how complex his personality is and the way he thinks about stuff. His character itself is very interesting so that's why he's my fave ^_^! Kefka? I never played FFVI. Kuja? I'm interested in him and I want to play FFIX XD. Ultimecia? I haven't played FFVIII but I got interested in her come Dissidia. All in All, Sephiroth is my all-time favorite video game villain!

Sephiroth, remember always hated to try and kill him (in his second form) cause i was only lvl 46, i didn't knew how to go down the crater and come up again so i had to train in the underground airplane and that sucked balls, then i finally reached lvl 50 and killed him, was thrilled and was like yeah i can do this again and lost to him, then when i learned i could go up i just lvled to lvl 99 got all materias and kicked his ass big time with repeat Omnislash :p

also remember trying to take his materias first time playing the game when cloud is going through his past (zack's past)

Most says that Sephiroth is the best, but yes he is alright. I liked Ultimecia mostly, she was really powerful. I mean she was controlling many Sorceresses and in the future she has seal all of the cities. She was a VERY powerful magic user.

Kefka is OBVIOUSLY the best when it comes to power and personality. I mean, he was utter psycho and had the villain charisma everyone wants.

Sephiroth is as awesome as Kefka, but his annoying Jenova whining was sometimes fucking ugly.

Ultimecia was powerful, yes, but she was rather bland to me.

Kuja... <3. It was one of the things that made Final Fantasy IX worthwhile.

But Sephriroth is the O.G. of pretty boy baddies and FF7 was the big turning point for Final Fantasy.

I like many other people also consider Kefka a great villain, he conquered the world, he became a god and he killed alot of people with the poisoning of the river in Doma's Castle, but to me, Sephiroth continues to be #1, his epicness, his coolness and all that makes him my #1 villain of FF Series, also I always loved his sword, I personally would love to try out a sword similar to his =D

Sephiroth is best of those four in my opinion but i have always liked Garland feom the very first one. Sure he didn't have a great backstory(like a lot of game characters back then) but he was in a great plot twist, his retuirn at the end as the ultimate bad guy was real good, especially since he was the first boss you fought. i've heard Dissidia elaborates on his story so i guess that helps.

But Sephiroth is close in second with me.
