The RPG section's gone, so I've taken Kimitsu's advice and posted this RPG here. I'm hoping it will become popular (I've managed several long RPGs in the past on other forums) And this is something completely new. Anyway, here I go;

(Oh, I'll add more backstory later, when I have more time)
__________________________________________________ ___________

The year is 2020, and the world is suffering the aftermath of a great war. The secret society known as the Illuminati have taken hold of the world's governments, leaving several countries destroyed in their wake. Even the powerful US Army fell to their influence. A small resistance has risen through the dust, occupying dozens of abandoned military bases around the world. This nameless group are made of the determined few that wish to restore the planet to its former glory. Almost all are thought to be dead by the new world government, and are no longer classified as civilians, but terrorists.
One of the fatalities of the Illuminati's rule is Australia, now lost beneath the waves due to Antarctica's rapid melting. Less then twenty people from this country are thought to survive. But there is a positive side to this, as the ruins of an extinct civilization have been found almost perfectly preserved beneath what used to be four kilometre-thick ice. 'Atlantis', as it has been dubbed, now sits on an almost green landmass and serves as the southern headquarters of the Illuminati.

Rules
#1 This is a realistic RPG set on Earth, so no magic-slinging or 10-foot high jumps.

#2 You can have up to four 'main characters'; Your actual main character, and some friends, enemies or whatever. Animals don't really count as characters, so they can have pets.

#3 They must be aged between 16 and 50

#4 No 'magical healing' or feats that humans cannot perform.

#5 Real names ONLY--don't make any up, eg. 'Naela' isn't a real name, but 'Natalie' is.

I'll post my character as soon as someone replies to this, because my post will get confusing if I put it down now. When I do as such I will add maps of bases, among other things.

Nickname: Jace

Real name: Jason Fan

Age: 26

Height: 6'2

Appearance: Tall, thin, and stringy with medium length black hair that's a bit longer at the back.

Nationality & Accent: American/Canadian accent, Chinese descent

Birthplace: Lanzhou, China

Weight: (optional) 174 lb

Clothing: Black bulletproof overcoat made of genetically enhanced spider webbing, military gear underneath.

Equipment: Various. Procures weapons and most epuipment as he goes, always carries around two M9s. First aid kit, smoke/HE grenades, survival knife, grappling gun, and a universal device that acts are a cellphone, GPS, and many other things.

Abilities: I thought this was realistic? Anyways, he's (I'm?) a fast runner, agile and is stronger than he looks. He can climb things very quickly. He's also extremely proficient with the use of small arms, assault rifles, submachine guns, and sniper rifles. Not very good at handling heavy weaponary such as mounted guns, machine guns, railguns, and rocket launchers.

History: After the war started, Jace was already in China and was immediately drafted into the People's Liberation Army. After just two months at war, he was promoted to Captain. After the war ended, Jace found that he had no where to turn, and so decided to join the resistance as war was the only thing he had left.

Relations: None, all his relatives were killed during the war.

If you haven't figured it out yet, this is me in 2020, rofl.

Nickname: Bot/Ein

Name: Carl Eisenberg

Age: Unknown

Height: 8'2 (yes, OVER EIGHT FEET TALL) 6'4 before becoming "mechanized"

Appearance: A hulking man, most people think twice before even looking at him. He has light skin and muscles so big the threaten to tear his skin. Almost always has a blank stare and stoic expression. His metal skeleton doesn't show externally. His extreme height is caused by the fact that almost all his body save for parts of his brain has been replaced by either machine or artificial flesh and nerves.

Nationality/Accent: No accent save for a very mechanical voice, of German decent

Birthplace: Munich, Germany

Weight: Unknown, he's crushed every scale he's ever been on to date

Clothing: His clothes aren't actually clothes. More like several flak jackets sewn together to form a giant vest, and pants he made himself. Also wears a tank top under his flak jacket

Equipment: Various heavy weapons including chainguns, railguns, and even a special cannon he ripped off a tank. He can effortlessly wield one in each hand.

Abilities: He could make Hercules cry uncle. Most of him is actually machine (including part of his brain) giving him strength beyond any normal human. The downside is that he weighs so much he dents the ground he walks on and must wear special magnetic shoes that lessen his weight. He is also bulletproof for the most part and can even survive large scale explosions.

History: Born in 1967 but only looks 45 years old because in 2012 he was mortally wounded by a grenade and what was left of his body was fitted with a mechanical suit. He's had upgrades done on it over the years to keep it up to date. The procedure is extreemly painful so somewhere along the line he had the pain sesors in his brain altered to only feel pain when he is on the verge of death. He's also had other "upgrades" done on his brain, such as the almost complete elimination of emotion, leaving only enough to give him free will and distinguish him from an actual robot.

Relations: None.

Think terminator. Emotionless German cyborg? Yeah. Totally terminator.

Abilities: I thought this was realistic?
By abilities I mean, are they agile, strong, etc. What are they trained in, things like that.

If you haven't figured it out yet, this is me in 2020, rofl.

 I've almost done the same thing xD Oh, also, I've added 'appearance' to the character profile (I forgot last time) and you type your character's build, eye and hair colour there.

Here's a map of one of the main bases;
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/IBeatSephiroth/Base_map_.jpg
It's a smaller-then-average base set about three kilometres east of Los Angeles, and is an abandoned military facility. It's underground (so the first floor is actually above the second) and is very well hidden in brush. Currently it holds 19 people, and there's room for 20 more.
'K, my characters;

I'm going to start the RPG now, but other people can still join until it hits three pages. If you're going to post out-of-rp, like I am now, type it in bold to avoid confusion. The stuff below was pasted from MS Word.:)

Natalia sat up with a groan and peered around the infirmary. The other nine beds were empty. Again, she was the only patient. The dressing covering her left arm was almost bled-through, but the blood was old. Those new bandages do work. She thought to herself, standing and heading for the exit.
A nurse appeared from her post at the reception desk, rushing to stop the patient.
“Wait, your wound hasn’t fully healed yet!” She protested; “You’re going to risk infection!”
Natalia turned to face her. “I’ll be fine. These new bandages are better then I expected, and bullet wounds don’t take long to heal.”

After checking the time on her phone, she walked through the gymnasium and headed for the nearest elevator.

As she approached the first elevator Zane stepped out of the second, Jed in tow. The teenager raised his eyebrows and stared as he walked.
“Who’s the supermodel?” He questioned, only to be cut off by Zane.
“—that’s Natalia Eden, one of the best fighters in the resistance. Of all things, don’t irritate her.”

-*-

After finding a seat at one of the cafeteria tables Natalia pulled her laptop from its bag and set it on the steel surface. In seconds she was leisurely browsing the internet.
Other resistance soldiers were scattered throughout the cafeteria, generally sitting in groups and chatting among themselves while eating their lunches. A group of novices with laptops were making more noise then everyone else, cooperating in an MMORPG. After a few minutes they made disappointed groans and burst into laughter as Natalia logged on and attacked their party.
“Come on! I just levelled up!” One looked up at Natalia. “Yeah, you find it so easy to frag us, don’t ya ‘PhoenixOfWar’?”
She smirked in reply and continued with her gameplay.

Jason yawned. He was finally back at the Sierra Complex, after days of camping out for a hit that barely lasted two minutes. Tossing himself on his bed, he put his UPD's earphones into his ears and shuffled his rather large collection of music. Within minutes he fell into a deep slumber.

He was awakened by a ruckus coming from the infirmary. Like always, the nurses were trying to keep a patient from leaving before their wounds had healed. Jace had always thought it was more efficient to heal from your wounds as you're heading out for your next assignment; it saves a lot of time that would otherwise be spent in a bed watching TV. In all his time at the base, he had spent a grand total of three minutes in the infirmary, and that was when some joker thought it would be funny to drug his beer, so he didn't really have much of a choice.

He sat up and lingered in the cushy bed just a little longer before turning off the music funtion on his UPD and pushing himself up, groaning as his sore muscles screamed in agony. There was nothing to do here. He might as well go get some decent food downstairs.

On the way to the elevator Jace spotted the source of the disturbance that robbed him of his sleep. A beautiful girl who could've easily passed as a supermodel walked by, pressing the button for the elevator. Two men walked out of the other elevator, apparently friends of the supermodel. Jace sighed. He resolved to talk her up some other time.

Down in the cafeteria Jace bought am extra large pizza with the payment earned from his most recent exploit. He sat down, and as he was about to chow down he noticed many unwelcome eyes staring at him.

"What can I say?" he said, shrugging, "these assignments take a lot out of you"

He bit down on a slice and before fifteen minutes had passed a few crumbs lay where the pizza used to be. As he got up, he noticed the girl from before, clicking madly on her laptop's mouse. He discreetly walked over and glanced over her shoulder. Nice, a gamer girl. That was hot.

Rather confused if the people RPing are the Illuminati or they're the rebellious group. Please clarify that more. And I'll join this story with a character of my own:

Nickname: "Cyclops", due to his hair hanging over his left eye and showing only his right.

Real name: Kiyoshi Lucas Hennesy

Age: 19

Height: 5'9

Appearance: Has Black hair over left eye, and the rest of his hair seems to sway to the left. Greenish-brown eyes. Slim and fit. Sports a jacket that has an anime character patch on the left shoulder called "Anarchy Angels".

Nationality & Accent: Japanese American, no accent (or american accent).

Birthplace: California, U.S.

Weight: 132 lbs.

Clothing: Blue Jacket with "Anarchy Angels" patch, black shirt, non-stain combat pants (gray), black combat boots.

Equipment: Lighter (given by a friend, although a non-smoker), dual gun-blades constructed and modified by himself, named Light Heart (left) and Dark Sanity (right).

Abilities: Lock-picking, Martial Arts (Shiba-styled custom fighting, adopted and taught by his mother from ages 4 to 12, with unique moves he has yielded himself), Armed combat, acrobatics, hind-sight.

History: Lived a happy life until the Illuminati attacked his city. Narrowly escaped with his mother into hiding, but was separated from his sister Mena and father. Grew up playing with the other kids in the hideout, and has a hobby of painting and constructing anime character models and figuring out puzzles. As he grew older he somehow played a vital role as the "key master", as he and the kids formed a small band known as the "Scavenging Ravens" and looted and infiltrated many locked buildings and facilities for supplies. Generally reserved and quite, usually listening to and observing people in conversations. Takes great interest in the past game series called Final Fantasy, and from learning some things about mechanics and engineering he decided to modify and customize 2 pistols he owns into gunblades, bearing resemblance to the weapons Yazoo wielded from the full-length CG film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Had a girlfriend named Sarah but unfortunately she died in an assault from the Illuminati 1 year ago. Currently suffers from depression.

Relations: mother (separated), father (location unknown) Mena (sister, location unknown)

Eh I forgot to mention the Sierra Complex belongs to the Resistance. >.< AT23, could you link your image? It's stretching the page a little bit http://forums.adventchildren.net/images/smilies/smile2.gif
This post won't be too long because I have half an hour on the PC.

After defeating another squad of enemies, Natalia directed her character to some shelter and turned her head. "Do you need something?" She sceptically asked the man looking over her shoulder; "I only have an hour to mess around until my next assignment." She leaned back on her chair, temporarily forgetting her wounded arm. She grunted and removed her weight from the injury. It was probably going to start weeping, now. That won't be good for my mission. She criticised herself.

-*-

Zane pulled Jed through the corridors, showing him everything that could be shown. Eventually they reached the sleeping quarters.
"Everyone here has been assigned a bed in one of the divisions." Zane explained; "Natalia and the other elites have a bed in Alpha and Bravo. As you can see, Sierra's just over half full--"

"Hi Zane...!"
"Who's your friend?"

Zane rolled his eyes at the group of passing female soldiers.
"Apparently I'm popular. Half the chicks here think I'm awesome." He hastily commented before moving on.

-*-

Marlo sat on his bed, quietly contemplating the matters at hand. There were a lot of new recruits, and more then half of them were rookies with barely any experience. He would probably have to assign some of the elites to training classes again--not that they minded teaching the new kids, just they should be out on the field.
Natalia will probably take up the offer after she complete's her current mission, but Miles and Josh probably won't... He sighed. I can't have rookies running around getting themselves killed. Basic missions first for them.

Right after Natalie was disturbed, Shinn approached Natalie and grunted:"you'd better not be getting in the way of our assignment today, i wont be expecting much of you with that arm."
Shinn was walking towards his sleeping quarters, passing a group of female soldiers by. They waved towards Shinn, he just ignored them and went straight on. He took a shower. He lay down on his bed, "only half an hour till the assignment, let's see what weapons i can bring with me." He took his 2 mp5's, and his 2 handguns, and his trademarks weapons, the two blades, with him. He headed towards the briefing room. All of the sudden he was stopped by someone...

The girl turned around. "Do you need something?" asked Jace "I only have an hour to mess around until my next assignment." She leaned on her left arm and grunted, quickly lifting it off the chair. It was obviously broken. He was going to offer her some assistance, but thought better of it. She didn't exactly look feeble; he was almost afraid she'd hurt him if he helped her.

"I see you're playing (Insert MMORPG's name here). I didn't expect such a alluring lady such as yourself to be interested in such trivial pursuits. Surely you have more worthwhile affairs to attend to?"

She started and him blankly. Jason sighed. She obviously wasn't into the whole romantic thing.

"I didn't think a cute chick like you would be a gamer girl!" He said with a completely different tone.

Just as she was about to reply a boy several years younger approached her.

"You'd better not be getting in the way of our assignment today, i wont be expecting much of you with that arm." He grunted.

Jace shook his head. That kid was way too uptight for his age. He should really learn to have some fun, especially when he had a hot supermodel for a partner. Jace had only ever had one partner before, and that had ended up in tragedy. Ever since, he'd prefer to work alone and would refuse to take an assignment unless he was allowed to go it solo. His superiors had no qualms about his peculiar demands as long as he he successfully completed the mission, which he always did.

He had only been in the Sierra Complex a few days, so he hardly knew anyone here. Only a month before, he had been a commanding officer for the Resistance army, fighting bloody battles each and every day. Seeing his friends shot down one by one right in front of him had taken it's toll, and he requested to be transfered, even if it cost him his rank. He had gone from being a respected general to a lowly private.

Rev ya can't control another's character, but I did forget to list that rule, didn't I? >_< That's how she would've replied, anyway.
This is a coloured image of Natalia. It's not very detailed, but you get the general idea of her appearance.

Natalia groaned as Shinn passed her. You're not as skilled as I am, kid. Chances are I'll be watching your back from my perch. She turned to the man behind her, thinking to continue the conversation;
"I play Warfield 3000 for two reasons: it's fun, and it teaches the younger soldiers valuable tactics. I haven't seen you before. Who are you?" She asked, logging out and checking the time on her phone.
"I have to leave in a few minutes, so our conversation will be cut short. If you want to keep talking, follow me."
She packed up her laptop, stood and began walking toward the elevator. Soon she had reached it, and Marlo appeared from the other elevator. Upon sighting her, he wandered over.
"Are you ready to go? This should be simple for you, but I'm hoping Gakki won't be any trouble." He questioned, rubbing his scar. Obviously, after several years, it was still painful. Natalia nodded.
"I'm headed down to collect my weapons now. I'm going to travel light. Now do you remember where we're headed?"

Marlo nodded. "The Illuminati convention. Rather, near it. Your target will be there, and you should have no trouble hitting him. Commence radio silence as soon as you're in the area." He confirmed as Natalia nodded.
"I'll be using my Raider*, and I'll probably be camping out in a warehouse nearby." She explained.

-*-

Zane grabbed his car keys and headed towards the elevator. He had just collected his handgun and was on his way to start his assignment. Word of mouth had spread the rumour that another team was assigned to this particular target, and he intended to get to the mark first.

Yeah sorry bout that. Was it the turning and staring blankly part?

"My name's Jason call me Jace pleasure to make your aquaintance," He said without stopping.

She had seemed pretty attractive... Until she opened her mouth that is. Jace had lost almost all romantic interest in her in a record span of less than a minute. She needn't be so severe, doesn't she know strict girls were a turn off?

"I have to leave in a few minutes, so our conversation will be cut short. If you want to keep talking, follow me." She said.

"Er, no thanks, you go on ahead. I have other... Business... To attend to." He said, walking away. Turning around, he sighed.

"Oof!"

Jace was knocked back. Looking up, he saw a heavily built man glaring at him.

"Pardon me." He said simply. He didn't sound angry, in fact, he didn't sound like any identifiable emotion. Just like a robot, Jace thought to himself.

"Excuse me," The man said again in that same monotonous voice, "Could I please get through?" Jace realized the large man was trying to reach the counter.

"Sure, sorry about that..." Jace said, stepping out of the way. He did NOT want to antagonize someone who could kill him by sitting on him.

Go ahead and register another character ^_^ Participants in the RPG can have as many as four characters, created at any time. Yes, she would've replied something like that. ^_^
The RPG seems to have slowed down a bit, but it's only just started :V

As Natalia waited for the elevator, she reflected on the brief conversation that had just unfolded. So, Jace, can I trust you? How good are soldier are you, for that matter?
The lift arrived and she stepped inside, thinking about her mission. The Illuminati were holding a gala, and she was to take up sniper position and take out her mark, an arms dealer by the name of Nicholas Harrington. Without him, the Illuminati would have to buy far more expensive weapons and use another dealer.

Marlo spotted the man that Natalia had been talking to and followed him-he seemed slightly disgruntled, as with most people that had just met the elite soldier.
"You're..Jason Fan. Kinda new around here, aren't you? Well, you've just met Natalia Eden, one of the elites. She seems hostile, but she treats everyone like that until she trusts them. Heck, when she's angry, she treats me the same, and I'm like a father to her." He advised, trying to start a conversation and catching a side glance of the massive man standing not far away.

-*-

Natalia met Zane on her way to her quarters, and asked him to wait a few minutes so that Shinn and herself could catch a ride into LA. He shrugged and followed her.
She crouched near her bed in Alpha section and pulled a large storage chest out from under it. After unlocking the box, Natalia removed her handguns and tucked them inside her satchel, along with some spare ammo cartridges. Next she dug around until she retrieved a large, sheathed knife. This was slipped into a holster stapped to her upper thigh, just below her hips. Her skirt hid the weapon completely when it was in place.
She stood and looked at Zane.
"Well, as soon as I find Gakki, we can leave." She said, slowly walking past her friend. He nodded and followed, thinking to start a conversation. Instead, he was interrupted.

"So, what's the deal with her?" Jed asked, eyeing the elite agent. Zane smirked.
"Natalia lost both parents at a young age. She hardly trusts anyone, now, and it seems she kinda thinks of you as a kid that needs training."
Jed nodded. "Uh-huh..?"

"As her title says, she is one of the best soldiers here. But, if you didn't listen to gossip, you'd never know. We carry absolutely no means of identification in the Resistance. Thats' why you needed to go off the radar before you were accepted." Zane continued.

The large man walked past, completely ignoring Jace now that he wasn't in the way. Jace turned around to leave, and almost ran into another person.

"You're..Jason Fan. Kinda new around here, aren't you? Well, you've just met Natalia Eden, one of the elites. She seems hostile, but she treats everyone like that until she trusts them. Heck, when she's angry, she treats me the same, and I'm like a father to her." He told him.

Well if she can't even trust her own comrades than who CAN she trust? Jace thought to himself.
"Call me Jace," he replied, "And you are...?"

---

Ein regarded Jace from a distance. How could this man possibly as good as he had heard? If Jace was to be his future partner he'd better not get in the way. Previous experience with biologic human partners had taught him that the human body was little more than an obstacle.

Ein had deliberately ran into Jace to do a quick scan of his body. Heart rate: 84 bpm. Height: 6'2. Weight: 174 lb. 52% body muscle mass. 16% body fat mass. No ilnesses, organs are exceedingly average. Absolutely nothing special about this man. Logic ruled that he should apply for a new partner and save himself the trouble. However, this man has racked up quite a kill count. It wouldn't hurt to give him a chance.

Steeld and AT23, you haven't posted in a while..

As he was asked his identity Marlo glanced over Jace's shoulder at yet another group of rookies who were beginning to spar with each other.
"Jace it is, then. I'm Marshall Parvati, essentially the guy in charge around here. I assign most of the soldiers here to their missions, usually based on their skill." He explained to the soldier.

-*-

Jed raised an eyebrow and glanced at Zane. "So, are you two, like--" He began, quickly being interrupted by his ally.
"No, no. We're just friends!" Zane joked. Both fell silent when Natalia turned to look at them.

"If Gakki doesn't turn up soon, we'll have to leave him here." She said, walking back to join the pair. "This mission is high-priority, and I've never failed one in my life." She smirked at the last part.

IBeatSephiroth, shouldn't there me some kind of command room in the base? The place where soliders go to get briefed and stuff?

"Ah, I've heard about you" Said Jace admiringly, lying. "Pleasure to make your aquaintance." He chatted with the marshall for a few minutes before leaving to make his way back to his room.

---

Jace yawed. It had been two days since he returned from his previous assignment. He got up and got dressed, leaving Delta block. What would he have for breakfast today? Waffles? Scrambled eggs? A loud ding interrupted his thoughts. "Jason Fan, your presense is requested in the (insert name of room where soldiers are briefed) to be briefed on your next assignment"

Finally, thought Jace, I was wondering when they'd give me another assignment. It's boring here.

Ein leaned against the wall next to the table where his superiors sat. He couldn't sit down himself, of course, he'd demolish the chairs. Besides, he didn't even need to. If need be, he could stand for years on end. However, that wasn't the issue. What he was waiting for was his future partner. The little Chinese man. What could possibly be taking him so long? He could see his superiors getting restless as well, although that was probably because of him. He had a very intimidating presence.

There is, but I haven't reavealed it yet. Although, it isn't a room, per say. There's a huge television that comes out of the cafeteria wall at the press of a button, and generally soldiers get briefed in their quarters, by email or wherever is convenient.

Natalia took a side glance at the twelve-storey building nearby. With its high views of the courtyard the Illuminati gala was being held in, she could take out her target from the roof. She pondered her decision to leave without Gakki;
Really, I didn't need his help, anyway. But, I'll probably be criticised for going on alone. Oh well..
Within minutes she had reached the roof and was setting up the rifle, and her laptop next to it.

When ready to take the shot, Natalia ran a signal scrambling program and took aim.

-*-

Zane, who had charmed his way into the party, was munching on a sandwich he'd found at the buffet. Hidden beneath his shirt was a handgun.
There you are. He thought, approaching his target.

A bang. People screaming.

Zane crouched to blend in with the crowd. Obviously there was a sniper around, judging by the blood splattered on nearby civilians. He could make a safe bet on who the sharpshooter was.
Guards leapt into action, scanning the skyline and barking orders at each other. Through the mayhem, Zane recieved a message through his earpiece;
"Check his right wrist, write down the numbers you see."
He smirked then discreetly made his way over to the body. The arms dealer's face was unrecognizable-the bullet had hit him squarely between the eyes.

Pulling back the tuxedo sleeve, he discovered a barcode tatooed on the underside of the wrist. Puzzled, he wrote the numbers down and was about to reply to the voice when a rocket screamed overhead.

The explosive went straight to a nearby skyscraper, blowing apart the top floors and shaking the ground. Zane couldn't believe his eyes.
Oh, of all things, I hope that warhead missed its target..

Back in the Sierra cafeteria, about a dozen soldiers were watching live news feed from Los Angeles. Marlo was silent, but he could hear others whispering. Most thought that the Resistance had just lost a sniper.

Just as Jace entered the cafeteria a loud explosion sounded from within. Thinking the building had been hit, he reached for the handgun holstered at his waist. Glancing around, he noticed a flaming building on a large screen in the wall. He sighed a breath of relief and holstered his gun again.

The large man from before approached him. "Jason Fan," He said "Come with me."

"What happened to that building?" Jace asked, gesturing to the screen

"A missle hit it. Natalia Eden is presumably dead. Follow me to be briefed on your assignment."

He glanced back at the screen one last time before running after the large man.

---

"Jason Fan?" Asked a solemn looking man dressed in a dark suit

"Yes." Jace responded.

"Good. I suppose you would like to receive your assigment now?"

Jace nodded

"Originally, you were meant to assist in the 'cleanup' after Natalia Eden's job. However, considering the recent turn of events your new assigment is to travel to Los Angeles and attempt to assist Natalia Eden, Zane Skylark, and Shinn if they are still alive. Carl Eisenberg here will accompany you. You leave immediately." He said, nodding at the large man. He dismissed them with a wave of his hand.

---

Ein went with the man, Jason, outside. There was already a jet prepared for them. by his calculations, the trip to Los Angeles should take no longer than 3 minutes. That gives him just enough time to calibrate his weapons.

"My apologies sir," said the steward stading at the entrance of the jet. "The administration has required that you take a special pod to your destination. As you are aware, your weight might pose a serious flight risk."

Ein looked up at Jace. He shrugged and looked away. Ein gave a snort (Which was more like a hurricane to the steward) and walked towards the Mass Driver.

Ein lifted a pod from storage and placed it on the Mass Driver. Then he got inside and shut it. Pressing a button, he felt the all to familiar crushing pressure then weightlessness of being launched at over one 100 Kps. Just because he doesn't feel pain doesn't mean he doesn't get uncomfortable.

I'm beginning to think AT23 and steeld have forgotten the rpg .

Natalia groaned. The missile had hit a floor or so below her, leading to the question of why the scrambling program hadn't worked properly. She sat up, covered in dust and checked herself for wounds. She'd only taken on some scratches on her arms and neck, but these were bleeding.
Time to get out of here. Natalia decided, packing up her equipment.

As she was about to leave a squad of Illuminati soldiers appeared from what was left of a stairwell and began scanning the area. Two helicopters appeared overhead-one military, the other a news chopper.
Natalia quickly took cover and began cautiously firing at the officers. They, too were hiding, and wearing bulletproof clothing.

-*-

Zane played civilian and ran from the courtyard, looking frightened and scared to fool the guards. There wasn't much he could do besides find his way to Natalia's position and provide backup--if she was still alive, of course.

-*-

Two bullets whizzed over the chunk of concrete Natalia was using as cover as she flattened herself against it, reloading her handgun. She counted the amount of soldiers scattered around the area. Judging by the sound of the assault rifles, there were at least six of them.
What sounded like barking, snarling dogs joined the skirmish. Peeking around her cover, Natalia noticed that the animals were dogs, but not completely. Metal was grafted to their legs, head, flanks and neck--making them bionic.
The hounds immediately picked up her scent and stalked over, ready to attack at a word from their owner.

Ein's pod whizzed through the air. He could feel the inside of his capsule starting to heat up from the immense friction. Gritting his teeth, he braced himself for the eventual impact.

A sharp, earsplitting noise was heard above the building. Many of the civilians clutched their ears in pain as their eardrums burst and blood trickled out. The few that weren't preoccupied with rolling around in pain looked up into the sky and saw an object shooting through the air at supersonic speeds. It rocketed right into the destroyed building with a force almost as great as the missile.

Grunting, Ein ripped the pod apart at the seams. Standing up with considerable effort after the Zero-G, he emerged within a cloud of smoke and dust. He activated his infra-red and scanned the area around him. Bodies of what appeared to be dismembered dogs and a few humans littered the ground around him. Perceiving it to be safe, he turned back to his pod and retrieved his weapons. Just as he was was leaving he area, he picked up a slight heat signature crouching behind a slab of concrete.

A survivor? Ein thought. He shifted his hulking frame to face the rock and let loose a flood of bullets.

---

Jason looked out the window of the jet. They were almost there. Normally it would be unnecessary to take a jet 3 kilometers to Los Angeles, but the situation required an arial dropoff. During such major incidents like these the citizens of LA would be evacuated, and the streets would be flooded with cars. Besides, their aircraft was cloaked and almost impossible to detect with either the naked eye or radar. It made very little noise either as it ran completely on solar energy.

Natalia groaned and glanced over her shoulder. Her cover was definately not going to last much longer, and what was left was being chipped away. She took a breath and dove for the side of the building, rolling over and swinging herself to safety under the collapsed floor, being chased by bullets all the while. Whoever was shooting at her, they had a powerful gun.
Hesitating, she blind-fired out of a nearby hole.

-*-

Zane quickly climbed the destroyed stairwell, heart pounding. His long-time friend was potentially dead and in need of backup. Not to mention she was one of the Resistance's best agents.

He eventually reached the top floor, which had been considerably damaged. Natalia was crouched in a corner, covered in scratches and firing at whoever was on the roof.

Natalia nearly attacked her ally, so quietly he had approached. She gave an exasperated sigh.
"It's just you..Anyway--"

"We got assigned to the same target, didn't we? Anyway, there was a barcode on Harrington's wrist?" Zane questioned. Obviously, this was something only the elites knew about.
Natalia shook her head. We have to get out of here, but the risk is far too great.

The lone figure dove out from his rapidly deteriorating cover and landed under a broken portion of the floor. It was now that Ein realized that it was a girl.

Bullets were still whizzing around him by the hundreds, but it took Ein awhile to realize a few weren't his. The survivor was shooting back blind. Ein stopped shooting. Bullets were bouncing off his body as though they were nothing more than foam balls. Somewhat amused, he lumbered over to where the girl was hiding and peeked over the edge. The girl and a boy were crouched with their backs to the wall. Ein grunted. They were Resistance, probably the operatives he was sent to assist.

Ein explained his situation to them. "My partner will be arriving shortly by jet. Our mission is to assist you in any way possible."

The sound of metal clanking on cement echoed up from below them. "More Illuminati operatives," Ein stated calmly, "I don't think we'll be able to leave through the stairs. Climb up to the roof."

---

They were right above the building now. Jace could see the smoke billowing upwards, and hoped that the mission wasn't in vain. Making his way to the door, he threw it wide open.

"Are you crazy?!" Yelled the pilot from the cockpit. "My orders were to land and drop you off, not have you be splattered all over the ground! We're nowhere near high enough for you to parachute down!"

Ignoring the pilot's warning, Jace breathed in a breath of crisp, cold air. "What parachute?" Jace said cooly, launching himself out of the aircraft.

Ugh I haven't been able to post--too busy over the last week. Anyway, here's a post ^_^
Also, I've given it some thought, and Ein is way too tall to be realistic. If he was something like 6'9 it'd be more realistic, but he'd still be huge.

Natalia nodded hesitantly and stood, introducing herself. Following advice, she climbed back to the roof, a bewildered Zane in tow. She looked to the sky--a hunch told her something was up there.
"So, you must be a new at Sierra." Natalia commented. "What's your name?"
Zane tapped her on the shoulder and gestured to the sky south of their position.
"Guys, we have a problem.."
Two helicopters were flying in at full speed, each armed with missile launchers and twin machine guns. Natalia grunted and pulled out her laptop, then set to work hacking into the aircraft's navigation and targeting systems. In seconds she was finished, just as another squad barged onto the roof.

-*-

Marlo ran his fingers through his hair. Not only was he worried, but about half of the experienced soldiers, too. Four good agents had been sent out for the one mission, and the Illuminati was storming the building.
I hope I've not made a mistake sending them all at once...

"Sir..?"
He turned to the rookie that had approached him. "Yes?" It was the new kid that Zane was showing around earlier. "You're Jesse, right? Marlo asked as Jed nodded. "Uh, when does training start? I'm itching for a mission."

Ten minutes of explaining later, Jed found a quiet corner and dialled a number on his mobile phone.
"Yeah, it's me. I know, I know--hey, just be happy that I volunteered for this!"
There was a brief pause.
"I know what I'm doin'! Don't underestimate me."

His size is to remind people that he isn't human for the most part. Most of him is machine, and you need a lot of space to fit all that technology inside. Pretty much the only original bilogical part of him left are parts of his brain. The rest of him is machine and a few artificial nerves and the like. In his original life he was probably like 6'4 or something. I'll add that too the profile.

Ein ran back up to the room with the two agents in tow. He could hear the footsteps getting closer. Judging by the intensity of the sound, they were about five floors down. Jace still hadn't arrived yet. It looked like he was on his own. Well, there were those two, but he doubted they would be much help.

"Get behind me," Ein said, "We'll wait for them here."

He unlatched both his guns from his back and aimed them at the staircase. Steadying his footing, he waited in anticipation for the Illuminati to come pouring in.

---

As he was plumetting towards the rapidly approaching ground, Jace reached into one of his vests' many pockets and took out a small, gun-shaped object. As the ground got closer and closer, he took aim at an open window a few floors below the roof and fired. A thin, black cable shot out of the object and latched on to the inside of the building. Bulls-eye Jace thought as he pressed a switch on the gun and felt his body come to an immediate stop. Thanks to the wonders of physics his body was swung right at the building's cement wall. After latching the cord to his belt, he braced himself for impact.

Hitting the side of the building, he immediately started running vertically up the wall as he set his grappling hook to pull him up. He had to admit, it felt pretty cool to run straight up a building. Somersaulting into the open window, he tapped the place where to cord was stuck to the wall and watched it whiz right back into the gun. Sticking it back into his vest pocket he quickly jogged over to the stairs. Ein should be somewhere above him.

Natalia watched as the helicopters fired full payloads at the building, but didn't seem worried. The reason for her confidence became starkly obvious when all ten warheads spun around and returned to their launchers, promptly changing the machines into fireballs.
Zane, already behind cover, called for his allies to hide. Natalia looked at the unnamed soldier next to her.
"Aren't you coming?" She asked; "They won't hesitate to kill us."

Forced to abandon her ally, she dove behind cover to avoid the storm of bullets that'd just erupted. Natalia looked down to her left. There was a fully-armed soldier lying either unconscious or dead. She shrugged and took three of his grenades, activating and tossing one at the enemy squad. They panicked and scattered as the explosive blew a hole in the roof.

-*-

"This one assasination is getting too much publicity. We have to pull 'em." Marlo explained to the group of agents standing before him. Among them were three elites, ready for anything. Most were carrying bulging duffel bags.
"So, Marlo, this is a tag-and-rescue?" One assumed, crossing his arms in front of his chest. The commander nodded;
I'm trusting you to get them out of there. Scramble the transports."

Ein's entire body shook with the force of the two cannons. He could feel his clip spinning to a rapid end. Krrrrrrr... excalaimed his weapons dejectedly as they stopped rotating. "Crap," mumbled Ein as he tossed both of them down the stairs, hitting two soldiers right in the face, presumably crushing their skulls. A fast retreat was his only choice now. As he was getting up, he found that his right knee had locked in place. That was one major flaw with this new robot body. The knees, being as brittle as they were, often got locked in place when he kneeled and he put his entire weight on just one. Ein wondered if he could last long enough for re-inforcements to arrive. He wasn't invincible...

His explosive salvation flew by over him, blasting the most recent newcomers to bloody pieces. It must've been one of the other agents. Guess he owed them one. "Do you mind giving me a little assistance?" He yelled over his shoulder, pointing at his knee. It didn't look like they heard him. Grunting, Ein turned around and picked up a nearby Illuminati solider and threw him into a crowd of his friends.

---

Hearing the sound of rapid gunfire above him, Jace drew his pistols as he approached the door. Opening it slightly, he peered through it. Illuminati soliders were rushing up the stairs by the hundreds as shrapnel and dirt flew by them. Jace quietly primed a HE grenade and tossed it into the staircase, immediately shutting the door after it. He ducked behid a nearby desk just as the door was blown off it's hinges and an intense light poured through.

Emerging slowly from behind his cover, Jace glanced through what used to be the door to the staircase. He could see right through the other side of the wall into the sky. It was unlikely anyone survived that. He walked over to the doorway and peered down the hall. Half a flight of stairs had been demolished both ways. that should effectively prevent any more troops from coming.

Using his all-purpose grappling hook once again, he swung himself over the gap to the next flight of stairs. Calming walking up with a gun in each hand, he saw what was probably the last two Illuminati soldiers crouched behind a slab of cement on the roof, occasionally popping out to fire at someone. It didn't take a genius to figure out that that someone was probably Ein.

Jace quickly fired two shots and both men slouched over, bleeding profusely from the head. "Hold you fire, Resistance agent coming up," Jace yelled to whoever was up there.

Upon stepping up onto the roof, he saw the large man, Ein, on one knee with a rock in his hand.

---

"What caused your arrival to be delayed by such an amount?" Ein asked his partner who just walked up to the roof.

"Traffic." Jace replied simply. "Did you find those two?"

"Yes," nodded Ein, "but first, I would advise you to move to a safer location. Illuminati reinfocements should be arriving shortly."

"Don't worry about that, I think we're safe for now" Jace said, grinning, "Now where are they?"

Ein signaled for the agents to come out. He still couldn't see them, but he assumed they wre still there.

I'm going to add Natalia's second and third nicknames to her profile- they're going to be used a lot more then her existing one.

Natalia cautiously stood, lifting her hand to a reasonably deep scratch on her neck. It was bleeding quite a bit, the blood running down onto her collar. She was relieved that help had come so quickly, and could relax a little.
"...I guess things got out of hand. Well, at least we're all alive." She observed with a smirk.

"Oh, come on! You barely survived, Nat! Look at you!" Zane protested, climbing over some rubble. He looked at the two other soldiers;
"So, what're your names? If we're on the same side, we might as know who we're talking to."

Natalia wandered over to the tall man and Jace, then looking at the latter;
"I may have seemed hostile before, but I was in a hurry, and a great deal of pain." She explained, her rare accent apparent. She seemed unaware of her bleeding left arm--the bandaged wound had been opened yet again.
"I'm Natalia, one of the Elites you may have heard of."

Can we initiate an adventure of some sort? How about the characters discover that they are actually being kidnapped by the Illuminati and the helicopter and dropship are actually disguised Illuminate vehicles. Just doing missions and stuff seems a bit boring.

The girl walked up to him them. "I may have seemed hostile before, but I was in a hurry, and a great deal of pain." She said.

"You look pretty banged up. We should get back to the base," Jace said, gesturing at her arm and smiling slightly. In the distance he could hear the whirring of helicopter blades. "Speak of the devil..."

Ein hang uncomfortably from the bottom of the helicopter. He wasn't one to complain, but it did seem rather unfair that the others got to sit comfortably in the dropship drinking martinis as he was being dragged along by a helicopter. I was planning that, actually. There're a few 'traitors' onboard the dropship, and are going to hijack it. Also, the first part of this post is from Natalia's point of view, and other stuff obviously happens while she's unconscious.
This'll be quite a short post because I'm in a bit of a hurry. :)

Natalia nodded; "I've lost a lot of blood." She replied, pale-faced. In her mind, she knew something was wrong. She felt dizzy, and her legs felt a little wobbly.
She passed out just as two medics tumbled out of the dropship with their equipment. Then, all was black.

Zane started forward with a sound of surprise, the medics doing the same. They'd only just arrived, and already sometone needed medical attention.

When she eventually woke, Natalia was lying on a stretcher in what could only be the air transport. She could here bullets bouncing off it's armoured shell--they were obviously under attack. She sighed and stared at the roof, trying to rest.
Two soldiers sat in a corner, looking almost suspicious. They were playing with their weapons and glancing around the empty space that was the passenger room. They seemed particuarly interested in the three rescuees onboard.

Jace popped out from behind the plane's doors and took a few shots at the neighboring enemy plane. To the side, he could see Ein flailing around under the helicopter, trying to dodge as many bullets as he could. Ducking back into cover, he used his knife to make a slight incision in a grenade and loaded a it into the grenade launcher. Taking aim, he shot the Illuminati plane. The grenade split in mid air and peppered the plane with dozens of explosions, demolishing it.

Satisfied, Jace tossed his gun to the side and started to close the plane's door.

"Don't move," A voice said behind him. Jace felt a ring of cold metal slowly pressed to his temples. A second pair of hands twisted his arms painfully behind him and skillfully bound them tightly in rope. The All-Seeing Eye symbol was hard to miss. He started forward, gun ready. Nat quickly sidestepped and drew her own gun, holding the blade in her left hand.
"Why are you doing this, Mark?" She interrogated. She recognized this soldier well. She had fought alongside him in a skirmish nearly a year ago.

He laughed. "Ah, not even an elite can spot an Illuminati agent. You know, I honestly thought you had me figured out, but I guess you didn't."

Natalia shook her head. "If you give up now, you'll live." She suggested. The tension could be felt in the air. Either one could fire at any moment, and she wasn't exactly sure if the man she had kicked was unconscious.

He considered jumping off the tarp attaching him to the helicopter but it was a long way to the ground. Climbing one of the four ropes connected to the helicopter was impossible; there was no way a single rope could hold his weight. For the most part, Ein was helpless.

Jace lay on the floor fuming as he watched his captors engage the girl. She kicked one of them to the floor and already had the other at gunpoint. Unfortunately, it appeared that he was armed as well.

Skillfully, he used his mouth to throw the knife high into the air, catching it with his right hand. Quickly, but violently, he thrust it right between the eyes of the other man lying unconcious on the floor. He didn't even make a sound.

"My name's Natalia." The elite said, examining her arm; "I don't think we should attack the pilot yet, but sooner or later they're going to figure out something's wrong." She grunted when she adjusted the bandage.
"Helooo? Pilot here!" Zane lightheartedly said; "We can just knock him out now." He crossed his arms, waited a moment and walked back into the cockpit. There were muffled voices, then a loud noise and the sound of a quarrel.
After a moment Zane dragged the unconscious pilot out into the room where the others were.

"Alright, that works too." Nat said, shrugging and sitting back down on her stretcher. She took a deep breath and rubbed her forehead, groaning.

-*-

Marlo tried contacting the dropship again. This time he was answered.
"Zane?" He exclaimed; "Where's the pilot?" The reply to that question was a quick explanation about the Illuminati and traitor soldiers. This news was troubling. He sighed and glanced around the room. There could be more spies among the ranks, just they were hidden very well.
"Is everyone okay? Where's Natalia?" The Marshal probed, trying to speak quietly and not give the Illuminati any more information, if they were in the room.

Lol that was a typo, it meant to say 'blind' .That's so funny I'm actually trying to hold my laughter in. xD I didn't notice it before. Lol at the squirrel thing too, wtf moments come from the most unexpected places. :P (Also, this thread was epically bumped xD)

Natalia nodded agreement to Jace's plan and pulled out her laptop.
"I can track the chopper the big guy's on if I know its callsign or ID number." She said; "Then Zane, the man in the cockpit, can fly us to it. He's a good pilot. You can trust him." She began typing, her fingers moving swiftly. In seconds she had brought up a tracking program similar to GPS.

Zane smirked at having the controls of a dropship. The craft was satifyingly heavy compared to the fighter jets he mainly piloted, and he hadn't driven one for years. By now he'd put the pilot's headset on and was listening to Marlo, who he was in the middle of a conversation with.
"What? No, I don't-- Look, what's up with you? I know you adopted her and everything, but Natalia isn't your kid. You seem to think so, boss."

He paused briefly.

"Alright, I'll stop arguing with you. Jeez... We're missing one agent. I assume the others are making up some plan to find him."

"So is that where Ein is?" Jace inquired curiously, glancing at the laptop's screen over Natalia's shoulder. "How long will it take for us to reach him?"

"Hey Ein," Jace spoke into his headset "You doing okay?"
"Fine." Ein responded simply "Do you have my location?"
"Yeah, we're on our way. Our plan is to pull up next to your chopper and hop on board. We'll set the autopilot on our whirly to head in the opposite direction as HQ since they're probably tracking us. Once we take out the guards we'll give you a signal, something obvious, alright? So just distract the guys above you for a while so we don't get shot between copters, ok?"
"Alright, Jace. Be careful"
"Hm.."

Ein stared up at the hull of the dropship. He'd have to somehow divert their attention to him without harming the ship. Grabbing a rope in each hand, he started violently shaking them. The dropship swayed back and forth, leaning a bit further to each side after every swing, always threatening to tip over.

"Hey!" A head poked out from the door. "What the hell do you think you're doing? You bring us down and you die too, don't forget that!"

"Not today." Ein muttered under his breath as he continued thrashing about.

"I think it should be about five minutes until we're in range." Natalia assumed; "It really depends on Zane's mood." She said as she opened a new window on her laptop. She felt slightly sick to the stomach, like when she ate too much chocolate at one time. It was caused by the amount of blood she was losing.
I'll have to postpone the tracking while I patch that wound up. She watched Jace out of the corner of her eye, listening in on the conversation. It seemed he was talking to the incredibly tall man that hey were now searching for.

I can't trust my own agents anymore... Marlo was becoming distessed by the news of spies. He would have to screen each and every one of the elites before he could send any assistance to the four stranded agents. It was supposed to be a clean assassination.
