Is anyone else here perceptive?? Or has been right about something that a majority has thought to be wrong??

I am one of those people.....
For example: The doctors said I had a sickness with my lungs and I thought they were wrong so I went for another doctor and they diagnosed me with something that is easier to take care of then the sickness I was originally diagnosed with.....thus I stopped taking the meds I was supposed to take....which would've probably killed me if I kept taking them....

Example 2: A friend from my (was) other forum started e-dating the site admin (28 year old American, former model, business man) I knew it wouldn't last seeing as he is/was already always busy...I knew he wouldn't have time for her and I also know he is a jackass and would hurt her...I was right....

Example 3: I can tell when people are lying about me, even through the internet, or to me...or when they are talking about me behind my back...

There are alot more examples but I won't go to deep into detail

Not to brag, but i feel as if i am about 400% more perceptive than most people i know. I usually see details where they see none, and i have an easier task understanding these details than they do. Maybe i'm just smarter than they are. Maybe i'm not. I dunno, but i just see more clearly than they do (even though i am near-sighted).

i always end up being the person who is TOO perceptive and ruins things for everyone else by pointing out what i feel is obvious (when in fact no one else even noticed). example: that show on the discovery channel where the guy "survives" in the wild "on his own." everyone thought that was badass until i pointed out that he gets help all the damn time and has a crew there to save him if/when he lands up shit creek without a paddle.

trust me, the list could go on for days. overall, it tells me one of two things:

1. people are generally becoming more ignorant and naive

2. i am just becoming that much more superior to everyone around me

upon further review (within the last 10 seconds), i think that it's just a combination of both. ^_^

Ive always been good at telling when people are lying to me, i think thats just a knack that some people have, you cant really learn it.

And when it comes to films i can always tell who the killer or what the twist in the tail is going to be. I dont think its because im particaurly smarter than everyone else, i just have a greater appreciation of direction and editing than my friends. Everything they put in a film, every scene or shot has a purpose so when you try to reason why they shot it this way or why that character said that things just fall into place for me. The Usual Suspects is the only one to catch me out...but in my defence i had been drinking at the time.

Not really, not unless I'm reading a detective novel in which case I'm good at picking up the important clues. That's just from experience though. :aldo:

i guess i am...
sometimes people's eyes tell me more then enough, for example if something is wrong, or something good happened.
does that count too?:|

Not really. I am logical though, if someone says something inconsistent with what I know, I'll usually challenge them.

Just like when I say something that I think is funny, ya know trying to make someone laugh, and they put lol, or lawlz, or rofl or something, then when you see them on webcam and they type that and they have this neutral expression on their face.....

I'm like "Don't try to make me feel less of a jackass by sugar coating me"
:aldo:

I can tell when a relationship isn't going to work out especially, or when a friendship is going to end, or when someone is being fake

Nowadays, XD or ROFL or LOL is just saying they think its funny, it does not nessesarily mean that they are laughing. :aldo:

lol, hardly.

I wouldn't even notice somene shaved their head bald unless they actually MENTIONED it to me.

...That example btw, isn't fictive. Though she didn't shave her head bald, just cut her hair real short.

being able to pick up on someone's "fakeness" could actually be a really good quality to have. i am fortunate to have a really strong allergy to bullshit, so it's really easy for me to tell when someone is full of it. as such, it's a lot easier to steer clear of certain people and avoid situations that i will regret down the road, like someone who acts very sincere just so that they can "borrow" $100.

All you are doing there is picking out 3 times when from the millions of calls you've made, some of them were right. Everyone does that all the time, because its bound to happen at some point.

I'm similar except for me, I am trying to look down on them, metaphorically, I'm like 5'4.

I think this would be the 6th sense for me... I don't always use it/ can use it always, but sometimes my instinct tells me to stay away from the common or popular consensus. I am usually the black sheep or the deviator of a group, and come up with different insights than most of my peers. Sometimes though it is purely common sense that is required...
