You never expect young people to just be announced dead, it's always a shock. This especially is quite sad as I know Ledger is well-liked. Seems like it was a drug overdose though, which is a bigger shame because it kind of dampens his image a little bit that he was an addict.

The question is, did he OD by accident or on purpose? Why would he want to kill himself?

Was there a record at a pharmacy or something that he had bought all of those pills at one time,or anyone else?
If it was literally all around his body I would be skeptical around it like some one had tried to spread it around his body or something to make it look like he killed himself, I might be wrong though...like 99% chance I'm wrong ^^;

When I think about him lying there on his bed with pills all around him....I dont see how that would be in a real life scenario, maybe if it was in a movie where they did that to just out right show what the character had done.

But in real life the pills would be closer to his arm length his head or at least his upper chest area, heh unless he deliberately set them up like that before he did himself in yeah...right.

First Steve Irwin and Heath Ledger. Poor doods. I heard it this morning by some dood that i cant possibly take seriously, then few hours later I was told that it is true.
And yah, i think it was overdose of sleeping pills and that his messouire (however you spell that) but it's the massage person/maid is being suspected or some sort.

Anyways, I'm betting accidental overdose on this one. Heath had said in an interview recently that he has been having trouble sleeping, his part of the Joker was making him really stressed and not able to sleep as well as he should. Probably took a real toll on him. I also remember that he said that he'd take two ambien and that it only worked an hour or so.

It's horrible.

His funeral's going to be in his home town. I never would have expected this--he was only 28 and had a huge career going. This is a sad loss in itself, but the fact that he died just a few days from Australia Day makes it worse...

I heard that he died of pneumonia and an overdose of a drug that's called Stilnox over here. Also, the Olsen twins have somehow gotten tied up in the drama O_o
