Yes,I agree Vaan was a selfish,unorignal and boring.As for Shotgun Guy when I read the trailer description,he seems different.I`m hoping that Shotgun guy would be atleast not that selfish as Vaan or Tidus if he turns..er uh not a great character as I expected.At the back of my head I have a feeling that Shotgun guy can get into lots of trouble and over reacts alot,but yet is very loyal.

Vaans hair has more of a silvery hue to it,there doesn't seem to be a hint of him being a blonde.I would try to avoid basing similarities in their persona based on looks alone.
