Power: Your PC or your console?

What is the most powerful of your gaming platforms? For me its my ps3 as its incomparable to my PC. For some of you it might be your PC as youve spent some of your hard earned money making it into something Nasa can use.

yep ps3 is the most powerfull then ps2. my pc is not used for gaming.

i'v lost count of how many times i'v banged my head on my desk everytime my pc crashed- i'v just got a new laptop 2 days ago though thank god or i would of had to appoint myself to hospital with concussion :rolleyes:.....but still my console pwns pc speed.

Well, I just got a new laptop for Christmas but I must say that my PS3 blows it out of the water, no question at all. Even though my laptop is very top of the line, the graphics are no comparison to the PS3.

I'm not sure that PCs as good as even PS2s commonly exist.~ Maybe more recent ones than mine do, though. I know emulators aren't exactly the same as running a game made for PC, but my desktop can only run PS1 games, and my laptop will overheat if I play one for too long on it.

However, the processor is 128bit, in comparison of64 which is OMFG on even gaming PC's.

As far as my house, let's see. The only weaker number on my PS3 compared to any other computer in the house, is the 256MB RAM. In raw power, I don't think the four PC's in this room barely match up...

PS3 at the moment. I built my PC about 2 years ago now so it's gone from being the best £800 worth of components you could buy to being worth about £300 -_-. I got this laptop just before Christmas though but obviously laptops are pretty crap performance wise.

The computer science faculty of my college bought a ps3. It was the cheapest way to get a powerful system. But you can't play with it... they installed linux on it :'(

Definatly my PC.
It's always updated every month. I SPEND TO MUCH MUNAIZ ON EAIT.
But i think it's dying anyway, The C Drive doesn't sound so healthy. :aldo:

My PS3 is better then my high-end PC, my PS2 and my siblings' DSs put together. Maybe that's exaggerating bit. But is is a 60g console.

I really don't know how powerful the PS3 is but my Computer runs Crysis on all modes but are best on medium and that Crysis graphic doesn't exist in The PS3 World yet. Like always the PC is two three years better. Like Quake in 2005 is like the PS3 graphic now and we are in 2008. I voted PC anyway.

If I got a new graphics card it would be my PC. As of now, it's my PS2.

Well, my new Mac is coming soon, but I am still going to say PS3, if for no other reason than, I don't game on my Mac, I do art on it. :aldo:

The 360 does run pretty similar to a PC. When they are running. Still, there's always that life cycle of consoles coming out and being better than PCs then PCs overtaking for a few years again.

If only there were some decent games out for PC atm :(

S.t.a.l.k.e.r Clear Sky comes out in 2 months. I know its not now but whatever. The tech demo Steam uploaded looks absolutely awesome.

My PC doesn't even deserve to be called that. It's frankly rubbish. My PS3 is great though. xD
