I read an article about how 'christmas' predates christianity, like theres something in our proto-culture that always meant winter festivals have been around for thousands of years. In fact Christmas used to be celebrated in May or September but they found more success in getting pagans to convert by hijacking their winter festival and making it Christmas.

What did everyone get? I got a new DVD player because my old one which was my brother's was a fire hazard (and about 30 minutes after I'd set up my new DVD player the TV broke :cloud:) and THE ANIMANIACS ON DVD!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Hellooooooooooooo DVD!

Oh and a bunch of bootleg PS2 games. And Pringles, yum.

I got a whole bunch of hygiene related products including some rather expensive and very nice smelling aftershaves. I also got a new Helly Hansen coat and a new Fred Perry tracksuit. srsly.
