Well its close to the end of the year, and since all the major titles have already been released, I felt that we should post our top 5 games of the year.
Heres mine:
5. Metroid Prime 3
Metroid Prime 1 is my favorite FPS. Only because it contains the "epic" factor in it. (theres no FPS I've played besides the MP series that contains that factor). MP1 is still better though, but this a game that a shooter fan should play.
4. Super Mario Galaxy
Best Mario game since Super Mario 64. It reminds me that games dont need great plots and characters for it to be good.
3. Ratchet and Clank: ToD
Very innovative game. This game prooves that platform games are still alive and wont be going away soon.
2. Uncharted
Amazing graphics, great gameplay and soundtrack. Even though it was a bit short, it was a great experience
1. Warhawk
So dynamic and balanced. Addicting and entertaining, and the servers are always full. I'll be playing this for years to come.
Honorable mentions:
MotorStorm
Enchanted Arms (actually, it was an 06 game if you count the 360 version)
Super Paper Mario

In no order:
Ratchet and Clank: Future
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Call of Duty 4
Silent Hill: Origins
Motorstorm (At the PS3 launch anyway :P)

Hmm well I haven't played all the games I've wanted to yet, and I imagine some of them would be in my top 5. But out of the ones I have played...
Assassin's Creed
Heavenly Sword
Gears of War (I only got it this year)
Guitar Hero II
Spider-man 3
Blu Ray Disc

Here's my list:
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass
Heavenly Sword (though way too short. It was fun while it lasted.)
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
Virtua Fighter 5 (I love fighters :))

Here are mine:
5. Resistance (even though it has been out for a long time) because I loved how they put a twist history, the weapons were unique and fun, and the online is addictive.
4. Metroid Prime 3 (btw Kira, MP1 was in no way as epic as MP2) because it was the conclusion to an awesome series, and had some of the smoothest controls ever.
3.Ratchet & Clank: TOD because it was so fun and was so beautiful.
2. Halo 3 because it was another conclusion to an awesome trilogy, has great multiplayer, and has co-op. For me, Halo 3 and Mass Effect almost pushed me to buy a 360 insted of a PS3. Plus, it was gorgeous and the Grunts were hilarious....<3
1. Assassins Creed because it had a great plot, and made some incredible advancements in free roam (the climbing system) and because it was the spiritual successor to POP.
Honorable Mentions:
- LOZ: TTP
- Lair (controls were good you damn reviwers)
- COD4: it was treally good and was gorgeous too, but I am a Halo addict.
- Uncharted: Although I have yet to play it (think I am getting it for xmas) I can already tell it deserves a spot.

Well, I just got a console of my own after 5 years, so still haven't played many '07 games. My list will be compromised of games I have played, played demos or read a lot about.
In no order, here it is:
Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3) - Hey it's my favorite 3D-fighting franchise. I've been playing since the first one, back when I was 8. Granted I sucked badly, since I was too used to Hadouken'ing my way up to the top and being the first 3D fighting game ever, everything was too new for me. VF5 has a very solid gameplay from what I have seen and read, can't wait to put my hands on it in a few days (or weeks, depending on how long the mail takes).
Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3) - I love the challenge rate in this game! :D The storyline was crap, but who cares? I'm there to avoid bullets and cut shit in a half with mad combos and maneuvers. I liked how, after finishing it for the first time, a couple new modes were unlocked and said new modes also unlock even more content. Gives me a ton to play with until I can buy some more games (and get myself an HDTV).
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (PSP) - The long-waited prequel to FFVII (that's not on a mobile phone). From what I read it can be really easy to abuse the system and make yourself extremely powerful very early in the game, however, this is one game where you can just avoid doing it and enjoy each battle while following a nice storyline (with a couple retcons, as expected).
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (PSP) - Final Fantasy Tactics has been one of my favorites FFs for a long long time. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't played the original, and those who have, oh hell play it again lol.
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3) - As someone said above, it shows Adventure/Platform games are still alive and kicking.

1. FFXII - Awesome and deep plot including politics to a much higher degree than even FFX, outstanding graphics, lovable battlesystem, design, just everything is good in this game!
2. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - Fantastic game, best PS3 graphics only second to Uncharted (yet to try, but I know I'll get it for christmas), cool plot, Tachyon, but a bit short.
3. Motorstorm - Fantastic gameplay, very good graphics, awesome crashes and really cool online!
4. Resistance - Nice game with a god feel, cool weapons in true IG style, long play and nice graphics.
5. N/A due to constrained budget caused by parents... Just why the FUCK are my new lines replaced with spaces?!?!?

Phazon suit > all MP suits.
MP1 felt like a Legend of Zelda. MP2s story was cliche and unoriginal.

Phazon suit > all MP suits.
MP1 felt like a Legend of Zelda. MP2s story was cliche and unoriginal.
The story was basically the same. And the difficulty level on MP2 was vastly higher than 1, so it was more of a challenge.
Light suit > pwns all.

MP1 had the mysterious theme in it with the Chozo and the Phazon. What did MP2 have? nothing if I recall except for Ings trying to take over the planet .

I will agree that MP1 have the "awe" factor and I really liked the Chozo ruins, but I was in it for a challenge, and MP2 was very hard.
And the Ings were cool.:nag:
MP3 is really easy.

Well...
#1: Assassin's Creed
#2: Motorstorm
#3: Resistance
#4: Final Fantasy XII
#5: Rayman Ravin' Rabbids
Numbers 1, 2 and 3 kinda speak for themselves;
Final Fantasy XII I loved the FMVs and still haven't finished collecting the rare game. Damn Yiazamat or whatever is a phenomenally difficult boss.
Ravin' Rabbids is incredibly fun albeit frustrating at times.

I put those two on equal footing. I'm just saying that XII had a more political driven plot than X, though X still had quite a bit of it. Or is just that your brain isn't able to cope withsomething being equal to FFX :P What makes XII bad anyways?
@Dark Vincent: XII was released february in PAL, so I count it as 2007, even though it was released a year earlier in Japan and six months or so behind US.

I prefer big rooms. Especially the 32 player CTF server. It gets really exciting and intense during the battles sometimes. :D

Recently played COD4, I am gonna put that in the top 5. I still liked Halo 3 better, but COD4 was still really good.
