Break HP Limit

Im currently replaying FFX for like, the tenth time but I haven't played it for like 2 years.

Does anyone have any tips for an easier/faster way of getting break a HP limit armour? I did that chocobo race and got the 30 Wings of Discovery from it, but that only gave me enough to make one set of armor and I don't know where to find any more ;( I know one way is to kill Shinryu, the area conquest, but thats so bastard hard, and I wont be able to do it without anyone with break HP limit in the first place >: (

If your stats are maxed then his counter attack should only do 7000-9000 damage. If you have auto phoenix on your armour, that will make it a lot easier. Once you are all set up, One Blitz Ace and Wakka Attack Reel plus a few regular attacks at 99999 per hit should take him down.

If you have a lot of money, go for Marlboros.

If you've already obtained the 30 WtD you get from the chocobo race, then I'd turn to bribing Great Malboro for them in the Omega Ruins if I were you and most of the weapons/armor you get there are worth a pretty penny so just fight until your inventory is full and then sell what you haven't got equipped for some more Gil to bribe with, It's what I'm doing. You can usually get around 1-2 million Gil for a fully stocked inventory of weapons and armor from the Omega Ruins so it's a slow process indeed but it's bound to be worth it in the end.
