Games you miss & reminescence

Are there any games that you used to play, but now can't because your console broke, the disk became scratched, etc?
I used to love playing Super Mario 64, Pilot Wings, Tetrissphere, and Pokemon Stadium. F-Zero X was preety good, too. But the game I miss the most is Banjo Kazooie. I still have all the N64 cartridges, but no N64 :( SHare your gaming memories here...

I have two: FF8, because I was borrowing it and then my friend moved, and I never beat it. I can't find one any more.
My second is ... nvm. I was gonna say FF7, but realized, I can play that whenever I want.

Final Fantasy VIII, because it was my favourite game and the Playstation broke and the PS2 won't recognise it.

Super Mario Bros. All Stars, Street Fighter 2 and some Spiderman game that were all for the SNES which is also broken and has been for almost 10 years but for some reason still lives in the cupboard.

I miss the good, old school side scrolling, 2D LOZ's, like seasons & Ages, or A Link to The Past (Port, I know). That and maybe Spyro, but I can buy that off the PS store I do believe....

I miss playing Crash Bandiccot 3 I still have my PS1 and have the game but eh if I play with it some more is gonna broke and I dont want that O_o
Then also I miss old days playing games for the NES and that I didnt know their names good old times but when I was a child xP lol

I miss many Sega Genesis games, unfortunately I gave my old one to a friend once I got a PS1. Of course I could play on the emulator, but it's not the same sensation :/

I also miss Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, which I never got to finish (got very far, but I blew up my PS1 accidentally). No I can't play it on the PS2 because the disc was a copy I made to play on my 'unlocked' PS1 (no I don't unlock systems anymore :P I'm an industry supporter and having a few original discs just give me much more satisfaction than having 100 self-made copies). Same to most my PS1 games (with the exceptions of FF8 and FF7). I also would like to finish FFIX, which I never got to do for the same reasons of P2:EP, and I was in the last dungeon -.- I also miss dueling against my friend on Tekken 3 XD~ He is coming here saturday with his PS1 and the game to camp my appartment though, so we'll have our chance once again

I miss playing FFvii and FFviii, i can't play them because i'v had then for year and there all scratched to bits and have prints on them. i also miss ix for that matter, i have it but my Ps2 want read the old memmory cards any more.

also for the ps1 i miss the first syphon filter games and mgs1 which is like the best if it wasnt for the graphics.lastly i miss that first Zelda game that came out on the 64, i used to play that for hours. :thumbsup:

The funny thing is, my SNES still works, along with my N64. They're old as hell, but I can play any old Nintendo games if I feel like it. It's just my PS games....

It's not exactly the disc read error. The smoky red screen comes up saying 'Please insert a Playstation 2 CD-ROM or DVD" or something like that. It does it occasionally when I first insert a PS2 game and it usually just takes a couple of resets to get it working, but after sitting there for an hour resetting it still wouldn't recognise FFVIII. I haven't tried it with any other PS games, but maybe I should...
