I hope she has a soft and firm voice around the age of 20.

Eh, we don't know enough about her personality yet to really say. Hopefully it's someone who can actually act though.

She seems to have the cool, calm personality imo. I think she'll have somewhere between a deep female voice and a regular voice. I would hate if if she had a squeeky little girls voice. Ugh.

When I imagine her speaking I get the Lara Croft vibe...which I really don't want. :P Mainly because Lara Croft in Tomb Raider Anniversary sounded like a cockney flower girl which us British don't sound like...let alone a lady who owns her own manor house.
I'll go for not as deep as Paine, not as high pitched as Yuna...somewhere in between.

It was all the tomb raiding; so unbecoming.
Well then I suggest Wendee Lee, mainly because I absolutely loved her performance as Faye in Cowboy Bebop. She's experienced, she can act and she's probably versatile enough to find an appropriate pitch.
She also did the voice of Bahamut's Fayth in FFX using her little boy voice that she used for Izzy in Digimon. I watched too much TV when I was in primary school.

I like Lulu's voice in FFX, I would probably settle for something similar to that, a bit stronger though ^^'

Taylor Hannah! She's got a strong woman voice. Example Lia de Beaumont from Le Chevalier D'eon.

I was positive I posted a reply saying "Is this type of thread going to become the Norm on this board?" Sad that it did not seem to make it.
Lightning is french. Front Mission 4 tells me so.

How did you come to that conclusion? XDThe main female in Front Mission 4 was french. The way she said Colonel sounded sexy. So French is what this girl will be. May not make sense now or even ever.

I just hope that her voice sounds good. I hate it when tyhe voice doesn't even fit with the character's appearance

I hate that too, but square typically does a good job with their voices.

i just hope that she doesn't have a Hayden Panettiere, i liked it when she did Kairi's voice but she doesn't just have thta certain fire like other people. Lightning needs someone who is new and undiscovered i don't alaways want the same.<_<

Taylor Hannah would be a good choice, because Lightning seems a lot like Lia so...

I just don't want her to be squeeky. I wonder what her Japanese voice actor will sound like?

For the english voice actor...I don't know her name but she did two voices that I remember really well. One was a native american character you could play in Rogue Galaxy, forgot the name...but the other she did was Raine from Tales of Symphonia. Her voice just has an informative, powerful...thing to it. I'd have to look up her name but...it's Thanksgiving and I dont really have any time. XD
I'd be happy if that actor did Lightning though, I could see it working. At least better than from other FF female characters. Rikku, I'd shoot myself, Yuna wouldn't work...Paine could though. Ashe's voice was good, but the character seemed a little too snooty for my taste. Lightning seems more, "I'll kill you with my glare" than "I'll Fillibuster you to death".

Ew no, she sounded like someone that was constantly bullied at school. Too timid.
