I hate when people make a thread in the Intro forum to say they love FF, and wanna stay, blah, blah, and then leave with 1 or 2 posts. I say we make it so that you have to have at least xxxx amount of posts before posting in the intro forums to decrease the amount of people who introduce themselves, then leave.

I was thinking that as well, but surely they should post an intro first so everyone knows who they are? Its impossible to stop people not posting. I think some people arent posting after joining because there hasnt been much FFXIII news lately, so if thats why they joined, they're probably waiting for something big to pop up...

It does get annoying after a while, but n00bs will be n00bs...... I'm not for or against the idea. :/

It is annoying, but maybe, like Ringlets said, when FFXIII released another part of that trailer or something, the members would come back >_<

What if it took them a while to get xxx amount of posts? Maybe a few days to a couple weeks? Then their intro thread would be completely senseless since they're not really that new. Its annoying when members make a thread and then leave, but its something we have to deal with, unfortunately. We just have to hope 1/5 people who make one actually stay. D:

And then after TGS, a bunch of people will be posting that we will have no idea who they are because they posted their intro tread about three months ago.>_<

It really gets annoying that they post then leave...>_< well..I'm not so sure about this idea becaue um they wouldn't know how to fit into our 'family' or something like that-_-
Well there are people who don't even post their threads..they just sign...and leave:(
Well...what can we do about them? plus I think that they would think we're really strict..and they would leave anyway

Max of 10 posts per 24 hours until day 5. Should not be able to make their first thread until 1 earth week after joining. I hate those thread making fuckers.

No not really, at least you're making posts. They're talking about the n00bs that make intro posts and then are never heard of again. I think the lack of FF news is the main reason for why ppl just register then disappear and plus ppl have other commitments too. I reckon we should wait until FF news is coming from every which angle before making a decision like this because really we want all the members we can get.

well that's good to know :D
i know what you mean though, about people disappearing !
it probably is due to the lack of new FF news happening, but we talk about other stuff too yanno!
guess they just don't take the time to look around

They're talking about the n00bs that make intro posts and then are never heard of again..No...I am talking about people who join and make tons of threads and lots of useless posts. examples "Versus guy name/hair" and posts like "I agree" "Maybe they are just trying to prepare us for something". Shit that doesn't help.
Limit their max amount of posts for a few days and restrict from making topics for a while.

I'm actually going to agree with you here. Its annoying to see people just type out a few words in a post outside of spam. Unfortunately, as long as n00bs exist, we can't actually do anything except have a character limit. And even then, getting around that is incredibly easy. :cookie:
