Square-Enix Opens Tokyo Game Show 2007 Site

Square-Enix today opened up their Tokyo Game Show site ready for the event taking place this September. So far there is only a Japanese version of the site and an English version is unlikely looking back at last TGS. The site doesn't contain any information on the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation yet but it should be updated when the event begins on the 20th September. A schedule for the event will be released by Square on a later date during September.

Oh yay, another chance for closed theatres, garbled descriptions of trailers and square-enix rep's punching us in the face.

Even if they have another closed theater, they will give us something, I am sure. It's been too long.

If they act their usual selves, they'll release screenshots and show a Closed theater trailer. Then again...it's been so long since they've released anything to the public so it has to happen sometime.

I think if anything happens, they will have two trailers. One public one closed.

Well I agree it would be good if they actually released anything at all. preferably a trailer, the last time we got a trailer released to us was the Versus trailer in DECEMBER 2006 for gods sake. The last time we got any images was last month but even then there was a flipping 5 month wait for two images that we'd already seen. I hate how SE screws with our emotions haha. How badass would it be if they released a release date << clearly dreaming.

Does anybody think we will hear anything of a new character in either versus or xiii?

Maybe. I think they will keep the plot details very secret. So my guess is no, no new characters for FFVXIII maybe one for FFXIII.

I have a feeling they may show the face of white cloak whoever from Versus and another party member from XIII. Now if we get to see it is a different story.

I doubt we will get any new info on VersusXIII, it just seems to be so far behind, development-wise. Maybe they will finally reveal the name of that blonde guy from FFXIII and it would be great if they could show a video demonstration of someone actually playing the game for real (like Hideo Kojima did with MGS4 at that event recently).

Well its strange that some sources have actually said that a demo will be available early 2008 and yet some sources say its only 13% complete? Some of this is total lies and I hope it is the latter. I dont think we will see anything of white cloak dude but I pray we get a flippin name for the main character for versus!

Yeah, I hope they reveal the name of the character from Versus, too. Gets kind of annoying to have to keep referring to him as 'Versus guy' and I never liked the idea of him being called Storm either.

It woud be great if there is a demo released early next year, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for that one. Really though, any new information at all, however small will be good. It's just I have this nagging suspicion that TGS is going to be a disappointment and we're still going to be none the wiser.

Update: The TGS site has been updated and a Fabula Nova Crystallis page has been added. It's almost identical to last years page with no new information.
