In the throne room (?) when the protagonist leaves, has anyone notice there is a layer of water on the floor? Look closely and you'll see ripples.

The water could just be from the storm taking place.

Actually, the water may be important, my not pivotal, but it probably plays a roll. An experienced artist wouldn't something in the picture that did not serve some type of purpose, great or small. Note later in the trailer when his weapons appear at first they look like water. And the bullets don't seem to penetrate the water like shield. I think the water plays a role in his weapons.

Did you really not notice the water? Well like Lucrecia says, I assume it's from the storm taking place and the fact that his throne room lacks a roof.

This was already brought up in a thread before. I feel embarrassed that so many people didn't notice.

I suppose the quality of the trailer we have is pretty awful...I could understand people not noticing it I guess. Then again, where did people think the footsteps in water sound was coming from?

I think u might have a point. If crystals r used to power the weapons, then the crystal could be an elemental crystal, which could be water or ice. either way that is why the floor might be wet.

That seems pretty likely.
Since magical element spells are part of the Final Fantasy series.
I'd just like at least to have a HD quality trailer, i don't get why they haven't release it :|.

Guys you need to think OUTSIDE the box, now it may but this is just MENTAL and probably isn't cos it is MENTAL and would be MENTAL for square to add it, it could be...rain.

Like Terros and Mr Kapow said. Elemental crystals. If this were to be the last Crystal, it's safe to assume that the element may be that of Water. The effects surrounding his weapons and barrier resemble water to the point where he looks like he's splashing through water while battling. Also, it's said the Crystal resides in the pillar behind the throne.

Since when does it rain indoors? His place HAS a roof, or the soldiers would have dropped through and not gather outside. Duh.

I believe they are talking about the desert at the end of the highway now. Not the water on the floor in his throne room anymore. At least that is what I got from it since they mentioned global warming and the recent trailer info was released.

From the new tokyo game show trailer-
"the Prince came rushing in and when he saw her, he was a bit surprised and then the girl frowned/glared at him and he glared back and then suddenly they started to face off each other and they have this Suikoden-ish symbols glowing behind them. Blue/watery behind the Prince, red/firey behind the girl."
And now we see a layer of water in his castle~ it must mean something, right?~ :3
Terros

Without a doubt, it's most likely related to his powers.

Going to the idea that the crystals element may be water, the dragon-looking creature in the log could be Leviathan.

You are right ,there is something there.
But in my opinion, it isn't water.
Maybe they are waves of air produced by Oriveira's movement.
When he is moving, the power of him will make the air wave(?).
Terros
Nov 24 2007, 11:30 PM
It's definatly water, you can see it splash when the bullets hit the swords that are blocking him in the trailer. Air does not move like that.

In addition when he's walking from his throne you can hear the water on the flow where he steps.

I know that this is probably a simple-minded thing to say but....since the Crystal element could be water, maybe the entire kingdom/town/city whatever that the trailer takes place in could be a water kingdom/town/city sort of like in FFV?
Terros
Nov 26 2007, 08:13 PM
I think it's water too, and since the world outside is desert it would make sense that the enemy wants the crystal.

Really?
I must have been fascinated by the ground music and didn't hear the sound.

It's faint and you can get distracted by it, but you can hear the water.
