Reputation system

I've seen other forums where it would have a reputation system. The person makes a good comment, someone could + or neg rep them.

I think its a cool idea IMO.

There's good and bad sides to reputation. Bad side is that people could have rep wars (yes it will happen, I know it will. I've participated in many of these on other forums that have them. :cookie:) and several members would be in the negatives probably upon the first day of it being activated. Not that I really care, but I don't want a hundred threads/pms complaining about people neg repping them continuously.

Good side is that its another way to feed my e-go.

Yeah, but I doubt anyone would find out unless it was reported. And if Kit/Dante disable viewing of who sent you the rep, good luck reporting them. :cookie:

No one would be banned unless they were constantly abusing the system. And even then, if it were up to me, they'd just get their rep to -9999 and have their power stripped so they can't rep anymore. A good taste of their own medicine imho. :cookie:

Having a rep system as well as a shop system (which should be re-released soon hopefully) seems pointless. I can understand that it would promote good posts and show up the bad ones but the user giving rep can always abuse it. I can see it being used just to bully "noobs". I've also edited the crap out of the forums and can't remember where I left reputation but that's just my short patience.

My friends forum used to had that. Let me tell you, it can abused VERY easily. Trust me. My friend and I ended up with like 40000 points each by giving each other points constantly.
