It's not mythology. "This Present Darkness" is a Christian book. So I guess you could say it's religious.

After having so many people raving about the last Harry Potter book, I wated to read it to. Problem was I never read past book 4, nor have I watched past the fourth movie. SO right now I'm reading book 5 (Order of the Phoenix I think) and working my way up. Its pretty good. That Umbridge is a bitch though, she puts Harry through hell.

"The Andromeda Strain" by Michael Crichton
"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" by JKR... yes, I'm working my way through the series again. 8D
"Darwin's Radio" by I forgot who and I lost this stupid book -- which sucks since it's a library book. WHERE THE HELL DID IT GO?
"Roverandom" by Tolkien
... do the Hikaru no Go manga and my sister's university biology textbook count? o_o

Finished Order of the Phoenix, moving on to Harry Potter, book 6, Half Blooded Prince. If it's as good as book 5 was, I'm sure I'll enjoy this one as well. Currently on chapter four, so I can't place much of an opinion on it yet.

Time to bump this thread.
I'm currently reading "Isle of Swords" by Wayne Thomas Batson. Man, it is one of the coolest books ever! Pirates are awesome! xD Man, I find myself barely able to put the book down. Mr. Batson is one of my favorite authors of all time. The pages are cool as well. It's not your standard boring white/cream colored pages, it actually looks like an old journal. Which I find very cool.
I'm also reading "Operation Typhoon Shore" by Joshua Mowll...which the first book, "Operation Red Jericho", is about Chinese pirates.
Last book I read was "Ranger's Apprentice: The Burning Bridge" by John Flanagan. I'm mad that I couldn't buy the third book yesterday. >_< I knew Target had it 'cause I had seen it previously there but they apparently rearranged and it disappeared...I wanna know what happens after Morgarath's death!!!!! Arggg....
Anyone read "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyers? I read it since a friend of mine told me to read it about two years ago. >_< Finally picked it up. Man, it took a good 4 hours out of my life. There's just something about 1st person stories that I find unattractive....But the way Stephanie Meyers writes was real good. I'm also just not interested in romance novels...I don't care if two naive 17 year olds (okay, so Edward Cullen is really over 80...) think that they love each other. I'm also more into fantasy, science fiction, action/adventure novels. There was only a third or something like that of the book that was actually "actiony." Then a third of that third was a recovery in the hospital and the guy taking the girl to the prom behind her back....
I'm a geek, yeah. :D

Never heard of any of those books....what're they about?
EDIT: Aw man, I finished "Isle of Swords" today. :'( I don't think the second book is out yet....Grrr. Why did it have to end on a cliff hanger? Seriously, the British had just captured the evil pirate Bartholomew Thorne and had him locked up. Then suddenly a large wave hits the fort and Captain Declan Ross (other pirate captain), Brandon Blake (British commandore), and Cat(a.k.a. Griffin Thorne Bartholomew's son) go to check on the prisoners to find Thorne gone. Grr. Stupid Sir Nigel. Stinkin' spy in the British army....(Okay so you have no idea what I'm talking about but....I'm ranting anyways.)

IT'S ALWAYS THE BRITISH. :cunning:
I've been reading Some Like It Hot - Zoey Dean.
I did expect it to be an almost replica of a chick flick movie...in book form, but it was actually enjoyable. *Sexual Tension* It was brilliant the way three characters merged into this love triangle, brilliance, even despite being cliché.
It also switched over to another few characters which was just a stir-up of emotion and plotting >D.
I then proceeded to mugg my own mother of 6.99 in order to buy Tall Cool On - Zoey Dean xD.
This is pretty much an add-on from Some Like It Hot.
Basically two of the previous characters go on a holiday in order for a time out from the mayhem of their lives, yet it swells into this great adventure.
Pure awesomeness.
I'm not usually captured by books like this, im more into the fantasy/love/emotional novels.

Here's some lines from it:
Travis raised the sword of obedience above of his head in the direction of Dalia.
She reacted too much late.
The edge of the sword nail quickly in the skull of Dalia.
-We must leave... you can walk without my aid?-
Lisa agreed with the head. I don't think the writer was english xD

Wonderfully written book, with the exception of the dialogue which occasionally rings false, that draws you in expertly. There are also a few anachronisms here and there.
