Best way to ruin a series is to have a cheap ending hence "resurrection". The ending wouldve been richer if he died and stayed dead.

I thought the book was excellent for the most part. Rounded everything off nicely and thanks to half of the main character's being either killed or maimed it will ruin the lives of many young children causing them to become dead inside. An added bonus.

Best book I've ever read. I didn't want to finish it though because then there would be nothing left to read and discover, so that sucked. :( The one thing that I didn't like was how all of those people died. I was wishing that they too were come back to life, but oh well. Violence = an awesome book. ;)

I thought it was AWESOME!!!!!!! I loved how it pulled everything together. It just all made sense afterwards, and you could tell that everything had been leading up to this book. It was just so PERFECT!!!!! I loved it.
I wonder what J.K. Rowlings next series will be. Cause I heard she's going to start another one about something else.

What about God, he must have made loads of money off the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, etc...
Hmmm, I read it. The whole seven Harrys flying, Voldylocks chasing by flying thing seemed very written because she knew its gonna be made into a film. Most of the book was alright, not spectacular. The whole Hogwarts battle was pretty brilliant though.
The Epilouge was cheesy as crap, I had hoped that Harry and them would have done something more interesting then just have kids.

It was okay. I mean you kind-of expected something like that to happen after all the battles Harry went through. But it also sounds like there could be another series to begin similar to Harry Potter, like with thier kids or a prequel about his parents leading up to thier death.

I didn't really find it funny, because its not very nice. I would have probably laughed and have felt bad if it was done well, but watching that just hurt my head. 'Funny' videos on the internet are hardly never made well.
Anyway, on the epilouge, I would have rather there wasn't one. I mean I'm not saying Harry should have been a wild adventurer or whatever. But the whole 2.4 kids thing was just so blah.

I thought this was a really good book. It took me about 5 hours to finish. (Got mine at midnight. :P Okay so it was more like 12:15 a.m. the morning it came out.)
I'm not exactly a "crazed" Harry Potter fan but I like all the morals that J.K. Rowling teaches in her book series. This one made me sniff slightly when Harry was telling Ron and Hermione that "parents should never leave their kids...unless they have to."
Overall she did a good job of ending the series.

The book is about 750 pages I believe. But the story was entertaining and it captured the reader's attention (at least mine) fast and kept them hooked until the end. Most books I've read are like a roller coaster. Starts out boring, then gets exciting, then goes back to boring, then exciting, etc. But Rowling did a good job of not doing that.

Not as much as the Noughts and Crosses trilogy...fuck me that was a great trilogy.

I thought it was a great book as well...LOL...I got my copy at my Wal-Mart after everyone else got theres....The line was crazy. I cetainly wasn't gonna stand in that line and look that nerdy. That was downright embarrassing. I waited....snuck and got my copy....went through the easiest check out line....and was home free!
The ending and reason for Harry's ressurection was done extremely well IMO. I think alot of people's problems were that they read the book way too fast and missed out on valuable reasons and pieces for why things went the way they did. The book isn't going anywhere people.....Geez....Read every now then....and go back to enjoying life....Give your mind some rest and get some sleep.

I think it will make an absolutely brilliant film... IF... they do it RIGHT! They need to leave nothing out.... lol... they need to ensure that all the actors get a few acting lessons under their belts.... (Daniel Radclife & Co.) lool
I agree. They keep out a lot of important parts that are needed for furture films. Like they could've had the part when they were cleaning out Grimauld Place and they came across the mysterious locket. That's important, and they could've put in Dobby too, etc.

Yeah I'm actually kind of nervous about them making a movie. It'll have to be, like, six hours long.

I thought the book was excellent for the most part. Rounded everything off nicely and thanks to half of the main character's being either killed or maimed it will ruin the lives of many young children causing them to become dead inside. An added bonus.
Childline hired 1000 new workers for when everyone finds out who dies. And as it was surprisingly anti-climatic compared to what everyone thought, say goodbye to meaningful taxes.
Also, lolz dead inside mat.

Loved the book but I have to say Albus Serverus Potters is in for a few beating.s with a name like that.
I read in an interview Jk said she is working on two books one for kids and one for adults. But shes only going to finish one of them!

That's interesting. I heard that she was going to make a new series but I never heard that part. Thanks.

Yes, Rowling's confirmed that she's working on a children's book (series?) and Adult book. Though she knows they won't be as successful as the Harry Potter Series. I'm excited. :w00t:

when did she start? If she just recently started, then we'll have to wait a while :(

I can't remember if the newspaper article said when she started. Most likely we'll have to wait awhile.
