What do you think about it? Me? ...... meh, I dont care for science, but I'm neither for or against it. However, I do find it strange that people would play as God in making humans identical. Whats up with that?

I agree with it. I think that stem cell research could really benefit humanity by finding cures for diseases and stuff.......

Im for it. Stem Cells are cells which can be "shaped" into other cells by giving them the right amount or hormones or something. (I think) That means you can build organs, and I don't see a down side to that.

People mainly moan about it because they take them out of live embryos and then the pro-life people start complaining. :cunning:

Yeah, they say that you are killing a human being, but, the baby is not born yet so.........

I agree with it. I don't get the pro-life people when it comes to this. The embryos wouldn't have existed in the first place if it wasn't for the reasearch so it's not really murder. It's just preventing the death of an already existing person.

I think its unethical NOT to carry out stem cell research. Think of the diseases we could prevent. Horrible things like Alzhiemers could be a thing of the past. This is a great and noble project that people need to look at in the right way.

Like many people who have posted here beforehand, I'm all for stem cell research. It wouldn't really be used to make humans identical (reference to Kira's first post)... just to cure diseases and such.

The whole embryo thing... yeah, the baby wouldn't have existed anyway, so you might as well use the stem cells and prevent a death. Besides, it's not solely from embryos that you get stem cells.

Stem. Cells. Save. Lives. There. Fore. They. Are. Good.

And it's unethical to take cells from a dead baby but it's not to let a person die of a treatable illness?
