Yoichi Wada was interviewed at Square Enix's shareholders meeting a couple of days ago and said the following when asked about Final Fantasy XIII:

"As of now we have no change in plans. However, just because it is designed for the PS3 does not mean that it is absolutely unusable in any way whatsoever on another platform. With regard to sales, we look at timing. It’s not just about how many units are available at a certain time; influence– is also very important."
He also added and said that he made a mistake in a previous interview and no Dragon Quest remakes are planned for release before Dragon Quest IX.

So he's saying the white engine is multi? I thought they went on and on about how PS3 is letting them do things they couldn't do before? Kinda contradicts what the devs just (http://finalfantasyversusxiii.net/post/other-party-members-in-the-works--final-fantasy-versus-xiii-subject-to-change.html) said.

Oh sorry I nearly forgot; FFXIII IS GOEN ON XBOABX 3560

.....Sorry, but this interview makes no sense because they already said that they weren't planning on going multiplatform.

That's the interview which we got a few days ago but couldn't translate to well. It was pretty obvious it was praising the PS3 though, especially as they had a whole section dedicated to it. Nice to see it confirmed though.

I think Wada should be kept on a leash. On several occasions he's made statements which have been completely false and have had to have been corrected by other executives. News like this does nothing but fuel rumors which can never be true. I'd rather listen to the developers than an executive who has extremely little to do with the game.
