There are a lot of places in the US that allow the posession of guns. Do you think that people should have a right to keep firearms? Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. If you aren't insane, you're not gonna shoot someone for no reason, even if you get incredibly mad. =/ I don't really think making guns illegal cuts down on crime as much as if everyone was allowed to carry a gun. Then the muggers will have to think twice about attacking the innocent rich old lady in the alley. Besides, if you have a criminal record you aren't getting a gun any time soon, so it's just as hard for a criminal to get a gun even if they aren't illegal.

What I don't get is why would they change the laws about concealed/unconcealed guns when they won't change the laws about murder.

It's for self protection, so if you shoot someone with it, it's still murdur. I don't really think I get what you're saying.

Well like I said they wher working on a law here in Texas. To me its a good idea but dumb people are going to start shooting people for no reason then make something up. I dont know. It will decrease crime but its a bad idea.

Well its obvious that law enforcement need guns, but I dont think it should be sold to anyone because we dont know if the person that bought it would go postal or not. But if you ask me, I dont see anything wrong with it...... maybe.

How are they changing the law in Texas? I thought legal buying/selling of guns is wrong, for hunting and self protection, yes, but some people use it the wrong way...

Self protection usually includes disarm your opponent, not taking away most of their stomach matter with a shotgun. People wonder why there are so many school shootings, yet when some american parents refuse to teach their children the damage guns cause at an early age, you might as well feed most of america cyanide pills and save time.

Well they showed me that using guns is wrong and killing a person is wrong so im not planning on killing anybody in my life. Ther might come a time to use self defense so Im not sure.

Yay! Go you. I don't understand why other parents cant teach those lessons though. It takes about 3 seconds : Don't go hunting with Dick Cheney. What i was saying that some parents go on the news talking about how disgraced they are at what has happened, yet their own child has a gun under their pillow incase communism decides to enter the room.

lol wtf?! If you let your child sleep with a gun under his pillow, you shouldn't be active in normal society.

Being Serious - I dont think guns should be used by anyone other than the law enforcement as, being humans, no matter how sane a person or upstanding the citizen the person is, they could really have an off day and just go on a shooting spree. prevention is better than cure to me

Being unserious - wouldnt it be funny just to pop someone you really didnt like 1 in each arse cheek?

My cousin in LA was shot by her sister's boyfriend last monday. He was only 19. I find it really disturbing...how people so young can get their hands on guns so easily. I agree with you, that only authorities should hold guns, but what happens when the someone from the said law enforcement has an off day?
It could be the same as the 14 year old kid who brings a machine gun to school and shoots everyone.

I think crime will be cut down significantly if guns are made illegal. Remember that Virgin Tech massacre? Would never have happened if it were so easy for that guy to get a gun.

It's for self protection, so if you shoot someone with it, it's still murdur. I don't really think I get what you're saying. No murder is when you go out and kill someone, self defense is when you injure or kill someone for your own safety and imo is completly justified. Now if people took away guns in the US, crime would go up imo.

This is Nagase btw just couldn't be arsed to sign out of Dante's account roflrfofmxnm;sdealinwaelin

Wow, there's a higher case of self defense killing than murder in the US? That's just feakishly insane. Did NOT know that.

It was simple as 1,2,3.....he walked into a gun store-and with no restrictions* obtained a gun then goes of and makes gory history with that massacre.
