A group of us agreed that it was surprisingly competent for a video game movie. Not great but easily watchable and enjoyable if you know how to have fun with dumb entertainment.

There are some movies that some people think is bad and considering them good/nice is acceptable, such as Terminator 3, because they actually have something rather understandable and non-boring to them. But it's impossible to do that with 10,000 BC.

Terminator Salvation Christian Bale was again left aside by the outstanding performance of the supporting actor (Worthington). Yelchin as Kyle Reese was pure jizz as well. McG did what he could to make a good Terminator movie, although he copied many stuff from T1 and T2, which in the end isn't that bad, seeing how "ewww" T3 ended trying to get original ideas. Summing it all up, I can say that it's DEFINITELY an improvement over T3, and as enjoyable as T1 and T2.

But Kate Connor and that Blair Williams with all that make-up and shit trying to look hot in a war scenario was a total turn-off.

Your taste is unfortunate....

I saw Zulu Dawn last night on my massive 128'' Firehawk projection screen. Quite a spectacle, but Burt Lancaster looks like he should be shining shoes. I didn't buy him as a high ranking general. He was incredible in The Leopard though, which was a similar kind of role, so I don't know what happened with him here.

I also saw The Ox-Bow Incident for the first time... It's a good movie but I don't understand the logic of making an anti lynching movie about innocent men being lynched>_< Those filmmakers need to go to storytelling prison along with Nojima and Toriyama.

Fallen Angels, a little-known film by Wong Kar Wai which is the sort-of sequel to Chungking Express (which stars Faye Wong of Final Fantasy VIII fame). Ahaha, totally the same I just watched. The most underrated movie of all history, that's a fact. Apart from the obvious plot hole in the beginning, the script was solid and the movie develops nicely. I just want to kill Fincher because he gave Charles Dance the gayest death in Alien franchise history after we got to like him. Oh and btw, avoid the theatrical cut at all costs.

Transformers 2. My brain hurt afterwards. What the crap was that?

Michael Bay understands that summer movies are about two things: male anxiety, and pure id. That's why he casts Shia LaBoeuf, that supreme avatar of pure male inadequacy, in the lead role. LaBoeuf projects a pathetic, wall-eyed dorkhood, when he's not babbling like a tumor removed from Woody Allen's prostate that somehow achieved sentience. I imagine the DVD of ROTF will include a whole disk of outtakes where they had to stop filming because LaBoeuf was drooling on camera. As it is, the film includes several extreme closeups of LaBoeuf's dazed stare.

Where was I? Oh yes. So LaBoeuf, who's actually a fine actor, is the stand-in for the male viewers' greatest fears about themselves. No matter how great a loser they might be, they can't be as losery a loser as Sam Witwicky. And yet, Sam has awesome giant robots stomping around telling him he's the most important awesome person ever. And he has the hottest girlfriend in the universe, Megan Fox, for whom banality is a huge aphrodisiac. The more pathetic Sam gets, the more Fox's lips pout and her nipples point, like little Irish setters.

My arse hurt afterwards, it was way too long. I like action, but bloody hell an hour is enough, nevermind five or whatever.

And Megan Fox looks like a pornstar. Not one of the good ones, one of those skanky ones you get in bargain bin porn.Dear god yes, she's orange and you can actually see where the - even more orange - make-up stops on the side of her face, it looks awful. And she can't act for shit.

Anyone who has not seen Transformers Revenge of the Fallen have nothing to live for. I would be happier for just one more robot fight in the film but over all best movie of the fucking summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And she can't act for shit.

You're not supposed to watch the acting You're supposed watch the giant robots fucking beat the shit out of each other or did you not notice that. Because I thought that a car getting cut in half or a robot climbing up a pyramid or even a remote control car humping her leg is more important than her 6 whole lines and her screaming for the rest of the film.

Same. Not in preperation for the next one, I just watched it randomly. It was utterly crap. Some of them are watchable but I don't really care for them personally. I hate that Daniel kid, his acting is so shit and embarassing to watch. That part at the start when he is being bullied then runs up to the kid with his wand out made me cringe.

If they had put Patrick Stewart or Ben Kingsley instead of the Terminator as Mr. Freeze, it'd have been watchable. Plus, all that Neon Gotham City breathes gayness, it's like Neal was the art director. Nevertheless, still has its priceless scenes such as the bat-credit card.

Regrettably the main kids were all cast more for the resemblance to the characters than for their acting ability. Mind you most kids suck at acting so it was always a risk when adapting books like that. Makes me fear for Ender's Game :(
