Two first GTA IV epi's 360 only, guess why...

Again, M$' marketing consulants has lofted up a generous amount of money to make sure the first two downloadable epi's for GTA IV are only for 360. 50.000.000 americans to be exact. That's FIFTY MILLIONS for those no good with numbers!

Locking down Exclusives like this is exactly what we want from our console of choice. Would you have had the same response had it been SONY who locked this down with a boat load of cash? i doubt it, but im shure that is what you wanted.

PS3 owners won't get this content. Big Deal, play the game, enjoy it, love it or hate it, w/e, most likely PS3 will get it's own exclusive content. Grow Up.

Yes grow up. Sony isn't paying you so no need to live in their house. And it isn't to say that Sony won't get episodes for GTAIV. I still believe (and others) that Sony will get their own updates that are different then Microsoft's.

Yes, but this is just too cheap from M$' side. Buying up games to prevent PS3 or Wii to have them is just an obvious hinting that they are trying to buy the console war. And that aint any kind of contest at all, it's cheating, taking a shortcut, whatever, noone likes cheaters.

Anyway, I do think thats pretty lame of them. I wasn't really that impressed by the GTA IV trailer so I don't really care tbh. FFXIII, MGS4 and even Folklore looked better than this to me so whatever, you can keep your extra car and special super amazing level. :P

Yes, Sony are buying, but not on the same colossal scale as M$ are. But sometimes, all this buying turns into quite the affair: When M$ bought up Rare Games, 80 employees quit the company, and in january, the founders quit. I just hope most other companies follows that policy :P Quit when M$ wanna buy us.

I am wondering how GTA4 on the 360 is going to affect sales. San Andreas was the best selling game on the PS2 so could GTA4 possibly be the best selling game on 360 instead of Halo 3? $50 million to me seems hardly worth it but they'll obviously make a huge profit. I wouldn't ever consider buying a new console just for some episodic content though. I think GTA games are long enough without extra missions and if they charged for it I would never pay.

Yeah, i'd like to see how many people are interested in buying it for what console. Its coming out quite close to Halo 3 though, which might effect sales.

Shurely PS3 owners will flock out to get it, but there are alot more 360's out there, so by that alone i expect bigger sales on the 360, plus the episodic content offers an insentive to pick up the 360 verion (that is the point in this)

reguardless, the game will be a big seller for both consoles. Not that i care, i will pick it up just because i like to drive around XP

I'm sure the game will be huge on both consoles and it's sequels probably will be to for this generation. I understand the incentive if you own both a 360 and PS3 but there can't be £50 million worth of people who own both can there?

doesnt matter if they own both, they just need to own one. If they are going to purchase a console for the game, again, the episodic content and the consoles price leans toard a 360 purchase..

I have PS3 and Xbox360. I believe like I said before that the PS3 will also get episodes just different ones from the 360. If not, I'll just pick up the 360 version. I mean one could be a scene from the movie "The Rocketeer" (I have no proof) and god do I love that movie.

Will any XBox 360 who gets GTA IV even complete the game? If not.. I don't think the "Episodic Content" is worth it if you just want it for Graphics/Shooting the police/Hitting on guys/.... etc.. lol

I'm not getting GTA IV, I quit after III :/ .... just doesn't catch my interest much.

Episodic content is basically an expansion to the game..so it will add new missions and stuff, perhaps even more areas
