What old FF bosses would you like to see in the Coliseum?

If you could have any boss from old final fantasy games as a battle in the Coliseum what bosses would they be, and what class would you make them?


bosses i would like to see as a Coliseum battle would have to be:

Gilgermesh beacuse i would love to see a Hd Gilgermesh fight and i think would have to be a Com when you tamed him

Vivi from FF9 even it not a boss from the game but it be good fight him and get him as a Rav

Gonna break the thread mold though, 'cause bosses seems like a weird restriction and pump that noise with a spiky dildo. It's hard to use the non-human bosses from older games, since they used so many of those names for airships and machines and shit.

...I want them to give us Makenshi and Kaze, from the Final Fantasy:Unlimited anime. I really, really do. Makenshi would be COM or RAV, Kaze would be COM or SAB.

I'd also like to see Judges Drace and Gabranth from 12.
Gilgamesh from 5/8/12/etc.
Vincent's Chaos Beast form from 7/Dirge of Cerberus.
A variety of Malboro, Mu, Coeurl, and proper Dragons.
Blaze (RAV), Layle (RAV), Belle (SAB), and Keiss (COM) from Crystal Chronicles [Crystal Bearers].
I wouldn't mind seeing ANY Dissidia character in the Coliseum, especially Ultimecia, Kuja, or the Cloud of Darkness.

It'd be nice to see the Four Fiends from the FF1, too...

Caius uses the same voice actor as Kain from Final Fantasy Dissidia Duodecim.

Just an interesting tidbit of information. Would be odd to hear Kain with the same voice as Caius and odd to not hear Kain with the same voice as Caius at the same time lol.

As for characters I would love to see in the Coliseum, I would have to say Shadow from FF6 or even Gogo whom upon taming has a random Role (being as he is a Mimic).

Personally I liked Genesis, he was cool and always reading that book of his. Plus I think the DoC wasn't as good. CC was one of my favorites because it helped me know a lot more about Zack.

I'm not arguing that Crisis Core wasn't good. I loved it. But Genesis himself offends me. Still, to each his own, right? I have to at least admit that from all those cutscenes, Genesis would have a badass fighting style and make a cool tameable monster.

It appears Gilgamesh has crossed the Rift yet again, and wound up in the world of Final Fantasy XIII-2. According to a reliable source, we’ll eventually fight the weapon-collecting warrior through a forthcoming DLC update.

Seymour Guado is, no doubt, one of my favorite characters, but I don't know how I'd feel having him in my party in XIII-2 unless he could do what I want him to do; summon- which won't happen.

I really don't want anything to do with more Commandos unless it's something like FF8's Gilgamesh or Jecht (I'll take Braska's Final Aeon, too :> )- but even then, it has to trump the overwhelming number of effective Commandos already in my arsenal. Same thing can be said for Ravagers, honestly. Between Debris/Cloudburst or Lightning they can't get much better without a major increase in stats or guaranteed max spell speed, so more of this role isn't what I'm looking for. Not that I don't necessarily want to see scantily clad women like Ultimecia or Yunalesca hopping around with me.

I hate to sound practical when talking about "for-fun" DLC, but I'm not really into sacrificing combat efficiency for nostalgia purposes. Not to say I won't be buying all of them... I just want to actually use the shit I'm spending money on and it be better than what I had. Amodar is a perfect example. Interesting to have (I guess), but why would I use him when I have Omega Weapon or Chichu who staggeringly surpass him on so many levels? Hell, even Red Chocobo is slightly better than him in terms of abilities available.

Sentinel roles were useless to me throughout XIII's sequel except for the solo battles against Caius and I can't see relying on a monster to auto-hinder an enemy for me when I can just switch to Serah and Deprotect/Deshell/Imperil anything much more effectively, also considering her damage is usually the lowest for me. An epicly large Marlboro would probably be a fun fight, though, regardless if I would use him or not. I particularly missed his annoying Bad Breath.

I'm not completely sold on introducing elements tied to only particular games (cross-overs) rather than the repeatable mythos that make an appearance in the majority of the franchise (like Omega Weapon, Cid, Bahamut, etc). Though it was probably just a fake (I don't remember reading anything about it since it the screen was peddled around the internet), but a I was kind of looking forward to a Jihl Nabaat spat if she brought tamable friends like Yaag Rosch or a Cieth Cid Raines with her.

Also, Ozma/Yiazmat/X's Barbatos because this game lacked on Super bosses and I still don't understand why.

This is my first post on here, this topic intrigued me enough to register and reply. So first I can't believe nobody has said Squall or Seifer, I mean I know we already have a gunblade specialist in Lightning, but I think they would be fun to play against and recruit. I already saw Gilgamesh would be coming soon. Also what about Kefka as a Ravager?
And I was thinking about how cool it would be to have the following three just to battle in the Coliseum, not so much to recruit, but just for the challenge: Ultima, Ruby, and Emerald Weapons from FF VII.

FF10 - Any of the playable mains. Also, the aeons would be awesome. Highly doubt it though considering this is getting a HD makeover/remastering.
FF13 - Feel like something is missing when you can't recruit Vanille and Fang. Sure, a bit absurd if you have them in your party during the story. However, it doesnt change the fact that they're missing!

All in all, they could easily add most old main chars. In all those games, I think I can count the ones i hate on one hand :)

Also, I'd love to add chars from other Squaresoft/Enix series like Kingdom Hearts for instance. Phantom would be an awesome Rav. And how about Kurt Zisa as the most awesome Com ever :D

Seriously, the Sephiroth hate is far too overpowering.

An OP as hell Sephiroth would be an amazing battle, especially if you give him a Jenova to play alongside him, or even better just make it the final Sephiroth form from FFVII and max his stats as high as possible without making him undefeatable.

Also, Ruby Weapon not being mentioned? Really?

Kefka would also be amazing, as would a chain battle against the KotR from VII...

Yu-Yevon also cause he was so hardcore....

And I hate the fact you got only one role per monster. Especially those awesome ones you get in DLC. Why can't they have dual roles or something like that...Lightning's paladin could have been comando+sentinel, or the shaman= ravanger+ saboteur
