View Full Version : Final Fantasy MMO for Xbox 360

There hasn't been ANY official statement about a Final Fantasy MMO for Xbox 360, actually more the opposite in a recent interview where Shinji Hashimoto has stated that there is a "blank page" for the Xbox 360 Final Fantasy plans, which means no FF for 360 so far.

I'd just like to make it obvious that nothing official has been said as ive seen alot of talk about a "confirmed" FF MMO for Xbox 360 spread by RP Gamer in this interview (http://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q2-2007/060107c.html).

I know you can't tell us when Final Fantasy XIII is coming or whether it's going to go multiplatform, but maybe we can ask something you can answer. Are there any plans for more Xbox 360 support other than what has been announced?
Charlie: Well, we have already stated that the next Final Fantasy MMO will be for the 360 and Vista. That, along with continued support for Final Fantasy XI such as Wings of the Goddess, show that we will be working with the 360 quite a bit. Don't forget Project Silpheed and Last Remnant.

Where? When? Logo? NAME? If someone can find offical or at least respectable backup then ill change it but so far there is no FF MMO for 360.

They might have mistaken it for The Last Remnant. :/

I don't care in an FF goes to the Xbox as long as it doesn't have a number in it.

Well, if they make anything I think that is will be another online FF. Most people that I know that have a 360 are junkies for online crap, so.......and by the way, Xbox live sucks, you fight 8 year olds on GOW....:nag:

I think that this is just a rumor though, they are too concerned about PS3 sale sin Japan at the moment....

its been said long ago that an MMO is in the works for PC/Xbox 360 and possibly PS3...its not a Final Fantasy game

im thinking it will also be a new IP, and not based on an existing world

I don't know what the hype of online play is. Yea you can play with someone in the world. Does it matter?

Well unless you live in a over-crowded dormitory, yes it does matter.

Anyway like the link Xion posted. Tanaka and his team haven't really said what the MMO is going to be. It won't take place in Vana'diel and there is a high chance it won't even be a FF. Which is sad because FFXI really supports the Final Fantasy Series. Something Front Mission online wasn't able to do as well with its franchise.
