Country's Name: Rubrum
Chinese Symbol: Suzaku, the Vermillion Bird of the South
Traits: The heroes. Never will you ever see any evil affiliation with anyone being from Suzaku. They are full of themselves and believe in the power of good, friendship, and light. Whether in literature, manga, or videogames, Suzaku is soley reserved for the good guys. Don't you ever get that wrong. Ever.
Characters: Our "fearless" Class-0 and the school faculty. Enough said.
Excitement scale: Second most boring of the four

Country's Name: Milites Empire
Chinese Symbol: Byakko, White Tiger of the West
Traits: This symbol tends to switch back and forth with Seiryuu. Not exactly the evilest of them all, but they're very intelligent and tends to fuck up the poor poor heroes (aka Suzaku) when it's convenient for them. They are always smarter than you. Deal with it.
Characters: Cid
Excitement Scale: Flips back and forth with first and second best with Seiryuu

Country's Name: Kingdom of Concordia
Chinese Symbol: Seiryuu, Azure Dragon of the East
Traits: EVIL. PURE EVIL. That's all you have to know. If Milites seems to be the antagonist to Type-0, then just wait until this country proves you wrong. Seiryuu is very well-known to be the big baddies in every single media that tries to use the Four Symbols to look cool. They will betray everyone and steal all the crystals because they are evil that way. The final boss will come from Concordia.
Characters: Andoria and Celestia
Excitement Scale: Flips back and forth with first and second best with Byakko

Country's Name: Lorica
Chinese Symbol: Genbu, Black Warrior of the North
Traits: Boring useless clowns. Don't bother thinking this country is any real threat despite the articles stating that it's a "military state." Whatever. Incompetent and no one really gives a crap about this country. Just ignore them. Petty, petty people.
Characters: Gilgamesh (Of course he had to be Genbu)
Excitement Scale: The most boring of the Four Symbols. Traditionally no one gives a fuck about this symbol because it bores you to tears.

Suzaku=Fire. Of course it belongs to the good guys.

Hm. I've always considered Byakko to be the superior of the other 4 symbols. White tigers trump everything else. :aldo:

Personally I like Byakko the best but Seiryuu sometimes outshines. Storywise I am 88% sure that Seiryuu will be the true villains.

Seiyruu has the coolest looking emblem by far. I prefer it to Byakko already.

I bet you can merge all four together to form some sort of convoluted mech-type-thing a la Power Rangers.

Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin.

Seriously Square?

My money's on Lorica getting owned near the beginning and then forming an alliance with Rubrum at some point in the game. Near the end Milites Empire will just be utterly destroyed Concordia: causing the three nations to form one giant army to try to beat concordia. In which case they fail because Concordia will unleash the power of god (who in FF is always evil) and everyone will die except the main cast. You will fight god in the "final battle" using the whole cast but in the end most of them will die. All seems lost but then Rem and Machina come to form the Agito and YAY the power of friendship.

Square Enix will find a way to make this story last two UMDs.

I want to punch you in the face for two reasons:

1. Four symbols and its stereotypes are older than fucking Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Houses.
2. I hope you are not listening those respectively because if you are: How dare you imply that Byakko is Hufflepuff? They are Ravenclaw. Genbu is Hufflepuff, and Slytherin is obviously Seiryuu.

To me, it's more "Wow those emblems do remind me of the HP houses" than "Wow, the characteristics of each country perfectly matches the Houses themselves."

I honestly have never studied Chinese mythology / constellations so I thought it was an original idea that J.K. Rowling had. I will never look at HP the same way again. :wtf:

Suzaku in general is annoying, it's always the good guy and blah blah blah. (i.e. Fushigi Yuugi for those of you who know it.)

Having 4 "houses" or countries with distinct themes and students with magical powers is going to remind anyone of Harry Potter, not because HP is the most original shit ever, but because it's the most popular shit ever. Boom, roasted.

...and I might be the only one who likes Genbu's emblem.

I honestly was going to post their HP House equivalent under each kingdom but then I deemed it as being stupid and people are horribly impresssionable, and decided against. I've met people that believed the 7 deadly sins were created by Full Metal Alchemist.

lolnope. As entertaining as she may be, her ideas aren't that original.

In terms of Harry Potter's houses, it's just a school thing. My schools had them. Although, primary school was fairly unimaginative, just had colours. I was in green. Then in high school, I was in Orion (which was blue). Hm... Not that I ever gave a shit, I wagged most carnivals...

What was the topic about again?

How predictable the world issues in Type-0 will be just from the 'Four Symbols' use.

I can tell you that, in the end, they'll all forget their differences and forge world peace.

That's cheating, we already know that's how it'll end.

I remember that anime. There was a scene that made me cry actually.

I was a kid, don't judge me.

It'll end tragically because tragic endings always get good press.

...

Awhh who am I kidding? Square Enix will never divert from the power of teamwork!

EDIT: oh and I forgot to mention in my story prediction; somewhere along the line Kurasame will die.
