I was actually fairly impressed with the entire thing, especially as they seem to have a bloodier and more violent portrayal of things than one normally sees in a Final Fantasy game. The tragedy of war isn't portrayed as often as it should be in these sorts of games. And so far, the gameplay is looking quite good. I've learned to be cautious with recent Final Fantasy titles, but this is definitely showing some promise!

This entire trailer was reminiscent of WWII.

Yet, I fear the catharsis we'll exhibit as players by the end of this though.

Im not really sure why they changed the name though... I liked Agito XIII better, I dont hate the new name (Type-0) though, its ok.

All in all cant wait to play! :)

A day 1 purchase for me. It looked amazing, and considering it's being released on two UMD's I expect much extra content for me to sink my teeth into. Definitely pleased with the direction it's taking.

I would be so for that if this turns out to be any good.

And personally, I really liked the portrayal of the real horror that magic could wreak in any sort of combat setting; it's basically a WMD if you take the time to really think about it. Even the soldiers being burned by magical fire had a startling level of detail and morbidity to it that gave everything a bit more of an oomph.

I was thinking a could get one but they announced that PSP2 and it looks absolutely stunning so I will probably wait for that one...so, no FF Type-0:'(

You know, at first when the whole Fabula Nova Crystallis project was announced, I was really interested Versus and FFXIII, but not so much in Agito, being on the PSP and all. But as time passes, I learned that FFXIII isn't as good as I expected (I don't think it's bad but, it just can't live up to it's hypes), and Versus, while graphically stunning was unfortunately accompanied by long delay and "the Noctis", is starting to get on my nerve. On the other hand, Agito, now renamed Type-0, shows a much more interesting storyline and graphics that seems to be the best the system can currently bring out. I mean, look at this:

Seriously, I have never expected PSP games to look this good. Plus all that blood and agony made me even more interested, but I wonder what kind of rating will this game get when it reaches the Western shore? T rated (or similar) and censored out all the blood like how Xenosaga was? Or M rated and keep all the goodies. Seriously though, for a game about war with a depressing atmosphere, an M rating is without question, but I just hope Square Enix won't try fix it just so they can sell it to the younger audience.
