Remember there is not confirmation that the woman shown in the trailer was the heroine, we just know she's a character and at this point an enemy of the hero. I still the woman on the logo is the more likely canidate.

Nah man, Squall wasn't after his own interests only. He was simply indifferent to everything. And that was more of a way for him to hide his real feelings than anything. FFvsXIII's protagonist seems to be cold and quiet like Squall, but not because he hides his true self or anything, but rather because he would go any length to get what he wants. A focused person fitting into the "the ends justify the means" style.
