Well I guess its pretty obvious that this is the Anime FC seeing as its written up there in BIGG letters XD
This FC is for anyone who likes anime. Thats right ANYONE!
Europeans, americans, redheads, skinheads, beard or goatee as long as you like anime you can join (even if you dont just pretend you do, we need members damnit <<).
The rules and are simple

RULES:

I think we all know what this means. Get caught by me and you'll get r*ped.
And trust me (especially you guys out there), you dont want to get r*ped ><

- NO SPAMMING

I really like mini series cuz most of them have a great story..

Yeah the beginning was a letdown for me too, graphics wise the first like 40 episodes arent that good either.

Kira is so mis-understood :P I was stupid enough to watch the films before the anime so I haven't given it a try. I may do after I finish watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (only 2 episodes left :O). I also wanna watch Ergo Proxy because I ended up only watching the first episode and it looks pretty awesome.

Shakugan no Shana has to be my favourite anime and Shana is my favourite anime character of all time. Melon bread looks so nice O_O. Oh! a new anime I wanna see which is showing in Japan right now is Darker than Black. Looks pretty evil and I need more action animes.

La Corda D'Oro is great for people who like shoujo...damn i hate thinking off teh top of my head.

I just started Gintama. It's hilarious. It parodies everything. The main character reads a manga magazine called "Jump," and mumbled that he "would love to have a Bankai like that" while reading it. Also, there's this scene where a character disguises himself as a tennis player while spying on the main characters who are suspects of a bombing, causing a little girl to ask her mommy if he was a peeping tom. :lol: Can you guess which tennis player he disguised himself as?

Episodes 13-15 of Black Lagoon were the most twisted episodes ever. Episode 15 was one of the saddest episode of any anime I have ever seen.

The whole series is about a group of people who run errands for the major crime lords in a city called Roanapur in Thailand. The company consits of Rock, a Japanese ex-saloryman(whatever that means), from whose point of view the story is told, a sadistic female Chinese mercenary named Revy, a black ex-Marine called Dutch, and a Jewish computer geek called Benny.

The show doesn't have much of a story, each episode features something different, but it's awesome for an action anime.

Did I mention? The whole series is pretty much a beer, cigarette, crime, and strip club ad.

No, Blood+ didn't have as much gore. I mean, in Elfen Lied, limbs, heads, and many assorted body parts are sliced right off, revealing incorrectly drawn anatomy, and pools of blood. In Blood+, slash, blood, dies.

I'm on episode 13 of Shakugan no Shana since a lot of people seem to think it's good. The art is cute, I'll give it that. And the incest twins remind me of the incest twins from Black Lagoon.

After Shakugan no Shana I might watch all 50 episodes of Gintama, and Black Cat if I can't find anything better. I might also try Darker Than Black, since horror anime is teh pwnzorz. lol me=anime nerd. :crazy:

What have you seen?

I would definately recommend Ergo Proxy if you haven't already seen it. Black Lagoon too, though it's not that great. You can try Prince of Tennis if you're patient enough to stick through 178 something episodes, 2 Special episodes, a movie, and 13 OVAs. The manga started out in 1999, the anime in 2001. The anime ended in 2005, but they're still releasing the OVAs for the National tournament arc.

D.Gray-Man too. It's plain awesome. Fullmetal Alchemist. Yeah. That's about it.

I wouldn't classify Death Note in the horror genre. It's more like...drama/suspense, I would say. The story's refreshing and unique - something different from the over saturated action and comedy fillers today.

I just finished watching it as well! The world would definitely be better without a Kira

Why dubs are bad:

1. Terrible voices. Really bad.
2. The voice actors have to make the dialogue somewhat match the movement of the lips, so it kinda limits what you can say, thus leading to some very crappy conversations.
3. In dubs, a lot of the time a scene is removed because of retarded reasons.
4. You have to WAIT for dubs.
5. Sometimes the voice actors screw up and the speech doesn't match the lip movements and it looks weird.
6. The english dubbed grunts and stuff sound soo retarded.

I bought the first 40 episodes on DVD. It's pretty good, but the fight scenes are CRAPPY. Like really really CRAPPY. And give the kid a fuxing sword already, if he kills himself with it it's his own fault. Watching him beating samurai with a wooden stick is getting old. And Sanosuke really needs to get his zanbatou fixed. He'd pwn so much more with a giant sword thing. (Although being the size it is, and being extreemly blunt, it's really more like a big club)

And I'm tired of Sano trying to act so badass. You aren't the only anime character with problems, bitch.

Yo! if anybody remembers me I'm back. Also I've recently just finished season one of Code Geass, which was sad since the last ep ended with a godforsaken cliffhanger which pissed me off.

I give Code Geass 9.7/ 10 Its the best anime I've seen so for during the summer. The characters are beautifully drawn(by CLAMP) its a mecha anime so it has good robot action, amd the storyline in this is fantastic. Its very dramatic(made my cry like twice) it's not an emo anime or anything, its still very well balanced with comic relief . The main chacacter Lelouch reminds me of Light from Death Note(crazy anti-hero, who uses his power and false persona to mold the world to was "he" thinks is right)

Well recommend this to anybody whos looking for a new anime to watch :P

But as soon as a realized this was goign to be a whole damn ark of nonsense, I ignored it.

But if you're just interested in shounen action/comedy's than yah, you might not like Code Geass. Its focused on Drama, mecha action, and the story. It also has no fillers and very pretty art.

Ive watched both :P Elfen Lied was gore and drama:thumbsup: and Blood+, I never intended to watch, until it came out in english and one of my favorite voice actors was in it, and yes that was very emotional.

Ouran High School Host Club is by far the best comedy I've seen in along time. ^_^ And the only reason it got emotional at the end of the series was it close off the story.

The last 2 eps were an original story to the anime that never appeared in the manga, since that is still very much ongoing.

I'm watching 'Paprika', a movie created by the same creator of the anime 'Paranoia Agent'. The animation, details, and colors are so fluid and stunning! It's on youtube right now, so I'm watching it in segments hehe. :)

Just finished Paprika. Although the visuals were good, I have to say that the storyline was almost exactly the same as Paranoia Agent. I think it could have gone a different route and been a little bit wittier/deeper. There wasn't enough thinking on the other side of the screen, in my opinion. The entire story was just lolling on in front of me.

Im watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya on the DVDs. I liked it a lot, it blends what a comedy and a philosophical anime should be like. Too bad its a seinen cause it has too much fanservice for guys.

Also i actually like watching it in english cause Crispin Freeman(yay!) is the voice of the main character Kyon.

Its emotional, when you start watching it, you get drawn in by the characters and you start to care for their feelings and junk.

It has extreme blood/gore and some nudity (not in a sexual way. Its kinda funny at times).

Have you watched Eureka Seven before? I'll admit it comes off as a bit childish because of the main character's age/personality/appearence, but in actuality the story is quite mature and deep. Although the ending really dissappointed me - it felt rushed and thrown together - I'd easily list it as one of my favorite animes.

As I said, it does come across as childish in the beginning, but once you get across to when the heads and arms get chopped off the story becomes deeper.

It's kind of like watching Naruto's beginning, which I found to be a turn-off at first. After getting used to the annoying screaming voice and watching more episodes, I found the anime to be a joy to watch.

Don't you mean too old? I watched Doraemon when I was like 5. And this retarded adult comedy called "shin-chan" in english. It's on Adult Swim. I watched it in chinese when I was young. It was a huge hit in china.

D. Gray-Man and Darker than Black are awesome. WATCH DARKER THAN BLACK for the last time. It's sweet. The main character looks kinda like L. It doesn't have a plot so far, the episodes are mainly to help you slowly piece together what happened in the past, and you learn a little about the characters' past every episode. The amazing this is they manage to create a clear picture of what happened before with hardly any flashbacks. However, this isn't to say it lacks action or emotion. It's got plenty of both.
