Im not really sure if anyone can help me with this but Id like to ask anyone who bought the collectors edition to give me the steps you took in installing/loging in to FF XIV. I purchased the collectors edition and installed it (I think, I did get some error messages) but now it says I need an SE account. I tried registering for a SE ID but the email never came... I just tried again right now so I hope theyll send it this time... Anyway if theres anything that I can do to solve this problem Id like to know. Thanks!:)

what I meant was the make sure you register your account under right region (US, EU, ASIA etc)
but I am glad you found that email,
anyway what is wrong with it now? Do you get in-game error or something?

Wasted $80? Just think of the nice box you got with it, and that wonderful journal. That's basically what it is for me since the game lags so much on my system AND my graphics card isn't up to snuff, if it was just one of those problems, maybe things would be fine. But both? Damn, but I knew this was going to happen ... :/

I'm bitter :cookie: Can't wait to get a newer, better laptop.

Now when I click play it just says "Final Fantasy XIV has stopped working". My brother says our graphics card is missing a peice and that we never installed it (we got a new pc recently) so I think that could be why... but then again I know next to nothing about computers... Hopefully either SE will solve this or possibly its just my graphics card...

Your GPU is missing a piece? In what sense? And how did you not install it?
Usually new purchased graphics cards arrives with box full of manuals and drivers which is reccomended to install, however by default your system should be able to recognize it (unless of course you work on VISTA )
Your PC should be working off your new GPU, unless somewhere in settings its running on your motherboard graphic chip, which is doubt its the case.
If you didnt install the drives try doing it, if you cant find the disc, you should be able to find it off the internet on the manufacture's website, the proccess is very simple.
But if's something about the game itself, I would suggest reinstall?

My brother set up our new pc so I dont know specifically what he did but Im gonna check it out right now.

One more question though... will reinstalling the game affect anything Ive already done? Such as the service account or payment method?

Oh okay, well get back to me on that one once you check things out
And to anserw your question, no it wont matter if you do reinstall (in terms of game activation or signing in procedure)
