Design Your Own Ff Character!!

This started cause of all the hubub about the ff characters clothes. So I have an idea how bout we make our own charcters and see what other members think of their design/fashion. I think it be great seeing as how there is such a debate about whether the clothes are good or not. Well I'll post up one, as soon as someone could tell me how to post pictures in the forum...^^;

Well, ummm, I can't draw people very good. The best i can do at drawing is a landscape and someone from the Lord of The Rings. But I might try. Or could I post a drawing of what some kid in my class did? They're pretty good.

The three sword teqnique I learned from a book called "Operation: Typhoon Shore". It's a really good book about Chinese pirates and such...so that's where I got the three swords. As soon as I'm done with the legs I'll post it.

BTW: Askyria looks very goo except for the hand holding the charm. You need to add some lines indicating the knuckles...but then again I am a perfectionist..

My scanner doesn't pick up much, so about half the shading and some details are nonexistent and the lines look jagged. ;_;

Nice character, except *blinks* her head seems to be oddly shaped and that skirt/dress is pretty much useless/entirely inconvenient/implausible if she's a fighter (unless that's not her regular outfit). Then again, FFX-2 and FFX is basically filled with implausible outfits.

You're right, the head is a little big, but redoing it would be too much work... And in the end it combined with the foot, granting some style to it heheh. I'm collecting ideas for a female character, so feel free if you have some ideas on this.

I would like to create a female, but i don't have any message in mind, thats why i'm asking for ideas on weapons, appearance etc. If nobody gives me ideas i'll end being influenciated by my sister, or even worse, i'll be influenciated by me (i never draw what i've planned, unless its a predefined character, maybe i'm possessed hehehe).

It really depends on what you want her personality to be like. If you wanted to make her more serious, I'd suggest for her to be on the older side... but any less serious than your commonplace reserved and cool ninja, I'd say younger. :/

But don't make her like on crack 24/7 like Yuffie XD.

For appearance, I can't really say anything but make it practical and sensible. If I see one more scantily clad fighting girl wearing these pretty clothes... (reference to FFX-2)... I will jump into the very-deep end of the pool (I can't swim, by the way).

Anyway, I started to try and draw my character(will be an assassin of course) but I cannot get the pose right. How do you think that you should draw an Assassin?

I think the pose should be something like hiding or preparing for a stealth kill. But you can draw it in a way to show more the outfit than the character job...

And Karen, yeah you're right, her head's a bit sharp D: fixed it on paper but I'm too lazy to scan it in again so screw that. I drew another character before I drew her but my pencil died on me and made scratchy marks and it looked like crap when I scanned it so meh. I love the character design for that one, though, she fights with cards :3 and I didn't have to draw her eyes cause they're covered by a shadow cause she wears a hat all the time. 8D Maybe I'll retrace that one and scan it in when my pencil will stop being stupid.

Finished the ninja, but as i have time till a can upload it, i think i'll be doing another one just to get it better. Also, i'm drawing a type of orc, hulk like creature, something like that, just to train muscle drawing and shadowing. and its going pretty good :)... who knows someday i get as good as jim lee heheh, just my dream...

I've been working on another female character, kinda just started outlining it so it isn't worth scanning at this point. It will either turn into a drawing of my previous character or a new one.
I need to stratch up on female anatomy anyway, ive kinda lost the plot with it. So hopefully a catch up is going to help.

Also i began a male character, can't be bothered to scan either. I'm so not in the mood to do anything forcing me to get from this chair, and my computer just got fixed but it sounds so ILL. XDDD. I'm so mean...i should so de frag and scan it. :rolleyes:
Back to the character, yea, its pretty much based around FFvsXIII character, pretty much a same, whole rounded attitude, but not as intense and stupidly hormonally deprived than FFvsXIII dude. (can't be assed to call him storm anymore because i doubt his...nameness)
This should be a good thing because he shall be topless (perverted drawings AHOY!) but i need to look back in my old sketch books (i can spell it now ¬_¬)
to reflect on my male anatomy work, i know i did a whole sketch pad preety much dedicated to anatomy, because at the time i pretty much sucked at proportions so i needed to stratch up when it came to highschool, so i kinda need to dig that up from my room, attic or garage (its in one of them lol)
Just because i haven't done any good anatomy in a while and i kinda relised this morning when i came to do some doodling, i made a hell alot of mistakes, more tha usual, so this might help me get my hand back into its old ways. :3

Description: After being kidnapped then used as a brutal experiment in a new technology by the government funded scienctist lab A.L.P.H.A. Keria was able to use her newly found abilities and strength from the chips to be able to escape.
2 months on Keria is now becoming aware of the true powers to the experiment implanted inside of her brain, eye and arm.
As it slowly begins to grow on her body, it also begins to take control of her functions in order to find its way back to its creators, but the more she resists the growing techonologys wants, it becomes stronger and eventually take over her entire body.
But now she is forced to go back and find the people who placed the technology inside of her, and some how persuade them to remove it.

Personality: Split between herself (Generally Calm and collective but can be easily antagonised) and the Technology (careless, aggressive, destructive)

I kinda tried to give the personality switch based on POP, i was sitting there playing it and has like a notion on a split personality, accept how the personalities got there i changed it abit.
But the character is kinda just how i pictured her being. =\

Name: (currently no name..for now lets call him kyle :rolleyes:)

Description: During the war between the City of Namadio and Resha.
(Kyle :rolleyes:) One of the main warrior tribes situated in Namadio finds out that he is part of something bigger as he watches his dying father tell him about the powers passed down in his royale family.
With this knowing, he decided to take the war into his own hands by sacraficing many cavilians in his city in order to destory the city of Resha.

After the bold sacrafice the cities citizens rebel against his actions and brand a traitor mark apon his arm and banish him from his own city.
Now as he watches from the outskirts of Namadio, watching his city turn slowly into a place of termoil and destruction he decides to seek the aid of another city in order to restore his kingdom into what it once was.
But it will come at a price.

Personality: Strong and fearless, good leader type, can be quiet aggressive and cocky towards people.

I may be wrong but i think you usually draw little lines giving form to the character instead of drawing continuous lines. By doing this you can't get the correct textures for the clothes or the skin. When you draw the hair you usually (at least it seems) try to draw each separate hair, but IMO you can draw it in little amounts giving the idea that they are separated by applying shadowing which will give the texture you want. For the rest i think its just a matter of practice, cause drawing is nothing more than visual memory + hand control. Weapons: A Ball at the end of a cable, (I forgot what it's called but if you've ever seen shanghai noon or Transporter 2 it's like what Jackie chan used the horse shoe on the rope for,and what Jason Statham used the firehose for) a large switchblade and a dagger on her boot.

Description: Once an inhabitant of the ground world until a number of experiments led to her having wings. She now lives on the flying city of <insert name of you're choice here> and defends it from the people of the ground world. She is strong and outgoing but still fairly serious. She wants to live out her life peacfully with the one she loves but feels she can't until her city is safe.

So there is my FF character design (one of them at least). I know it's not incredibly original but... it works.
By the way, I know her face looks wierd but it was the best I could do at that distance. :D

Profile: Selain is a girl who can't remember anything beyond when she met Storm (the Versus guy). The only clue she has to her missing past is a reccuring dream, where she is pinned down by some sort of monster, she always wakes up just as it begins to devour her.

The truth is she met Storm 8 years after a massacre the claimed the lives of his family members, and a close friend. Since then she has not aged a day!! She suspects that Storm may know the truth about her but when ever she confronts him with the question, he either leaves, avoids the question, tells her not ask him about that. Discouraged she doesn't try to persue the question.

Aside from having no memory, she has a mysterious crystal imbedded in her forehead. This has made her the target of all of Storm's enemies, for this reason she is usally confined to her room, a pillar with a stair case inside that leads to her room. Selain spends most of her time trying to recall her past, she is growing ever more disturbed by her reccuring dream which she calls the "Broken Memory". Not only that but she is also bothered by the fact that she feels herself "changing", not to mention her concern for Storm, who despite her appearence the two are roughly the same age, and who never seems to be able to look at her directly.

This mysterious phantom is occasionally seen by Storm wandering around the palace. She looks IDENTICLE to Selain/Vienna, the only difference being that her eyes are always blue. She often appears to Selain in her dreams though, often accompanied by Bellezul (Bell-le-zool). Her attire is af a back funeral/buria chemise. No one knows for sure where she comes from, it is debated whether she is Vienna's wandering soul or a product of the crystals contact with Selain's sub-concience.

Vienna is the girl who the phantom and Selain resembles. She was the prince's only friend but she was killed during the massacre, while running away with a fragment of the crystal with Storm. They were cornered by a predatory monster released by the enemy. She hand him the crystal before getting pinned down by the monster, she tells him to run and that he must live but the young Storm is frozen with fear. He witnesses first hand Vienna being torn apart and eaten alive. During this disturbing scene her blood splashes up on the walls, and the boy prince, and spills unto the floor. Some of the blood splashes onto a segment of the crystal causing it to mutate and turn blood red, this segment later gets imbeded in Storm causing his eyes to turn red and the source of his powers.

The event of 8 years ago has left a scar on Storm emotionally, though he has tried to bury this. This is probably why he has a difficult time communicating with Selain as well as others. A repeat of this event is probably what he fears the most. Even after all this time he has never been able to let go of the bond with Vienna.

Bellezul is the physical manifestation of the crystal, she is also Selain's "alter ego". On her own she can only hold a physical form for a short time, therefore she required a body in order to reside permantly in the human world. She appeared moments after Storm used his power unintentionally and destoryed the monster, during his moments of severe emotiong distress after the death of Vienna. That's when she made her deal with Storm (see quote above). She fused with Vienna's corpse and Selain was born. Restoring and re-animating the girls body was one thing, but it is questionable if Bellezul (called Belle for short by Storm) can bring back one's soul. Realizing this, Storm is faced with the question of whether Selain is Vienna who's just lost her memories or an entirely new being in Vienna's shell. As of late Bellezul has been taking over Selain more often than you used to be able. They may be starting to fuse even further. The only one who seems to know the answer is the phantom.

Description: The only survivor (excluding Storm) after the seemingly fatal attack upon her family, (The royale family of the city of Deseai) the attack caused her to suffer from memory loss stretching back to when she was only 18 years of age.
Once she saw the body of her dead relatives around her, she quickly fled and left the city in order to escape the hostitlities in the place she used to call home.
She then seeked the guidance and training of an ex elite soldier which used to serve in a outer city group named N.E.O.
A government funded group which was used when only war or destruction played a part into their hidden schemes.
After placing 5 years of her life into training she signed up for N.E.O. and was later accepted after countless tests which tested her abailities to her limit.

Still she hadn't been able to bring the 10 years she lost within her mind.
Currently she is now still serving within N.E.O. after 2 years dedicated to the group.
But when she is given a mission to go retrieve information about a crystal which is said to be hidden within the city of Deseai. After recieving the mission information she was left in dismay to find herself being sent back to the place she was born, she had no choice to go despite the city and the information she already knew about the crystal herself, being one of the thought to be dead royale family, but her curiosity within how the city has been after the years she has been from there drove her to do the mission despite her doubts at first, yet she didn't plan to look for information, only answers.

As she enters the kingdom, she begins to retrieve small pieces of her lost years back through dreams and flashbacks she has within the first week of being in the city of Deseai.
Once she begins to inflitrate the palace only so N.E.O where no suspisous of her whereabouts she found out more than what she would.
She ends up encountering a man which she found had a strange resembelence to her younger brother which she thought was dead along with her family 7 years ago.
With the shock of finding a heir to the throne having a strong resemblence to her brother, she fled from the city in confusion.
But once she made a seemingly clean escape N.E.O. where after her in order to retrieve any information they belived she had found out within the castle.
Two months after her mission she was captured by the group and brutaly torchered into information about the crystal yet she resisted them and was eventually so physically beaten she was took into a coma. The group finding no use of her anymore dumped her within the dark streets of Deseai to die, yet a young man named Jacke finds her abused slumbering body on the ground and takes her away to treat her for her injuries and hopefully waited for her to awaken.

3 years later she awoke, being able to remember all of her past, with memory restored within her brain she sets off with Jacke back to her city determined that her brother was still alive and the current reinging king of Deseai.
Once she encounters him for the second time she finds her brother, but only a shell of what he once was, his emotions and feelings where torn from his body and the only thing he could feel was the guilt from his familys' death.
She tries to pull him from his past and into the present.
Also she noticed his hand was slowly turning black and leaving cracks within it, showing the shine of a bright blue aura glow from his hand.
Leiea convinced that the N.E.O. was able to have stolen part of the crystal during the time of when she was in a coma.
Due to her brothers state of denial and mistrust she confronts N.E.O. but only finds herself to be brought back into the organization she had escaped from. Being brought in from the crystals dependancy on royale blood Leiea was instantly taken control of, answering the groups suspicions about her heritage.

I had thoughts of a bside story to the one im writing up.
Just her route through the story and not Storms, but i think it would be a bit to much, i'd rather just stick to the main story and not to break it up.

Well...this is going to be a long post..
I've got 21 characters in this story I'm writing. They would qualify to be Final Fantasy characters. I'm just going to type out the main character's profile here, and maybe later the other characters'. They live in a world called Dreacarnis. I do have art drawn up, but I'm using the library's pc and can't upload it yet.

This is only the short version. The long version's three times longer.


Name: Naela Dracomin

Age: 23

Height: 5'9

Build: Thin, lean and tall.

Hair: Deep brown with golden-blonde tips. It reaches to almost halfway down her back.

Eye Colour: Depends on her mood; Brown for neutral; crimson when angry/stressed/hostile; golden-brown when happy/relieved/joyous; almost black when injured/sorrowful.

Clothes: A scarlet, sleevless shirt with a high collar that's been folded back. A black trenchcoat that reaches just past her knees. Shin-high boots that are a sorrel colour. A brown leather belt. She wears a dark brown pleated mini-skirt. Hanging off her belt, on the right is a sort of pouch that contains personal belongings.

Weapons: 'Dragoon' a three-foot long Katana whos blade has a silver tint. This hangs on a scabbard on the left of her belt. On the right of her belt and behind the belt-pouch is a holster for a handgun. The automatic handgun takes an eight-bullet cartridge and has a eight-inch barrel. She acquires one other weapon on her journey.

Skills: Naela's third weapon is her magic. She is incredibly powerful with her magic; and can only cast fire, and to a lesser extent, electricity. But her main magic element is Mystica; the purest form of holy magic. It pulses through her body, sharing her veins and arteries with her blood. Naela has abilities that even she has no idea of as yet, but they are powerful.
She can tell if anyone is lying to her, and can climb trees expertly. But, she cannot swim--this disability is made up for with the fact that she can tolerate higher altitudes then any other human. Her agility and strength surpasses all she has fought before. Except one person, whom in battle she matches. The Mystica in her body enables her to heal at near-impossible speed. She can recover from a bulletwound in just five seconds, for example.

Personality: Naela is a person that will mention her name to almost anyone--if she trusts them, that is. She will try to reason before she fights. She is a quiet person, but anger her and one may find themselves in danger. She does laugh and smile, but inside there's a hole in her heart full of sorrow. She strives to aid civilians. She will injure, but never kill.

History: Naela lost both of her parents when she was barely a year old and was raised by her mother's close friends; the dragons of the Dracomin tribe--supposedly the last dragons in the whole of Dreacarnis. They don't tell her about her family. The two dragons Naela knows most are Veritan; her mother's closest friend, and Daona--the matriach of the Dracomin.
There is a great hole in Naela's heart from the loss of all her family. She didn't meet other people until she was 14; when she met Larcer, Dane, and Zetu Sphirlax; Ereha Calasy, and Tras Kelaro. They all quickly became closest friends.

Larcer was the first person she met after her parents. They were very close friends until six years ago; when they had a fight that left Naela with a scar. Now they are mortal enemies, waging violent battles against each other. Lately Larcer seems unsure in these battles, and almost unwilling.

Here's one of my sketches, I figured he could be FF character. It's not really finished, it was just a concept for a character. The drawing itself isn't really that great in my opinion, I could do alot better. But I hope you guys like it. He uses a katana based sword, and he has the ability to control matter on a molecular level, but the powers are somewhat limited. To explain, I'll use the Versus XIII scene as an example. Tear can change the air around him on a molecular level, and crystalize the air in order to deflect bullets. With this ability you can probably figure out other things he can do. But he can only use this ability with objects he comes into physical contact with.

By the way, his name is "Tear." As in tear drop.

My character for... Versus XIII. An incidental character who serves to confuse or mislead the leading roles. Ohms looks forward to benefitting himself as well as the group he works with. Almost sloppy-looking, he appears formal in a way as I designed to suit his character. I worked to make him different from the other characters who were introduced from what I could grab from Maiki's description.
He's 172.72 cm in height (5'8"), teenaged, shady in personality, and always smirking. His clothes are dark; dark grey dress shirt, pinstriped pants. His hair is reddish copper gold, eyes are grey. Sorry I didn't colour him yet. Also, he wields only a handgun (not drawn). And I name him Ohms.

Here's a way to avoid that, make several copies of the picture once it's complete then color so even if you mess up you aren't stuck with it.

----I second that opinion. I never could make copies though so I would always act like the copy I'm working on is my only one if I were you, Tifa. It sucks to colour, mess up, and then throw a tantrum.

I was working on the Norse gods and twisting them to meet todays standards. Loki the Trickster, blood-brother to Odin Allfather and part of the Aesir. See, I do put effort into my research. ^_^
