So, I think that you have feelings right and that you can'be all that cold-blooded so I decided to make this.
Which scene do u think was the most touching in FF VIII?
For me it was the Ragnarok scene, I was crying while I was seeing it..if I'm right XD

It would have to be the one where the ball took place. Poor Squall, kind of messed up a bit, but it's still awesome. XD

Nothing was very touching. I guess I could say when you were on the ground running to Galbardia(sp) Garden and all the Balamb students were getting their ass kicked in the background. Made me think "Those damn kids should stop and run". Not touching as in make me cry but as in they don't stand a chance and they don't know it.

ditto.
the way they looked at each other.. ran to each other with arms wide open.. that embrace..
i thought Rinoa was the most useless in terms of feasibility (sp?) in battles.. i guess she was a lover not a fighter!

I do not even have a really touching scene from this game, but mine would be from MGS3.
It is at the ending of the game, Snake is talking to the Boss and she tells him how her life fell apart and then asks him to kill her and says that they should make it they're finest hour, and the whole fight takes place in a field of white flowers next to a lake.
When you finish the fight, the Boss hands Snake her gun and asks him to kill her. Then, after snake kills her all of the whits flowers turn Blood red.............anyone who does not feel anything after the end of this game should be shot because they have a black hole for a heart......

ok.. it does tug at your heartstrings in that ending, i guess more so if you played the entire game. i've only played the first MGS, but i did love it. :D
you know, the MGS3 ending is kinda like Final Fantasy.. only in fatigues!
but this scene still owns all

Yep, and yes, it does affect you more if you are a MGS fan and if you play the whole game. Then it like rips you heart out 'cause you have been playing the whole game knowing it would happen but you don't want it to.....
And yes that scene is good, but I like mine better, But mine is not a scene, it like a movie.....

As far as MGS3 goes, I thought the most emotional scene was right at the end when he's stood at The Boss' graveside. It's because it's there that the full weight of the story really hits you, the way Snake was played and manipulated right from the start in order to make him kill the woman who was everything to him. He believed the lies his government told him and thought he was doing the right thing, but really he was just a tool, a puppet who was to be used and discarded. And the final line of dialogue - "she was a true patriot" is really ominous and carries a real punch, epecially alongside the final shot of Snake saluting and the tear rolling down his face.

Yeah, that one was really good, I was too lazy to look it up and post it. If they were going to make another MGS film, they need to make it based on MGS3, it would most likely have the best appeal.
And when you are hearing about how the Boss was not a did not really defect, they made Eva cry....

when tidus was sent after sin was beat.
there is a couple of those scenes :D like...when everyone thought Seifer is dead...
squall(I liked him...wasn't really a bad guy...He was one of us...)
(Seifer...You've become just a memory.)
(Will they...Will they talk about me this way if I die, too?)
(Squall was this and that. Using past tense, saying whatever they want?)
(So this is what death is all about...)
(...Not for me.)
(I won't have it!!!)
Quistis
"What's wrong, Squall?"
Squall
"I won't have it!"
Zell
"W-What?"
Selphie
"Are you MAD!?"
Squall
"I'm not having anyone talk about me in past tense!"
it is not that touching though
My favorite touching Scene is Final Fantasy VIII would have to be when Rinoa has fallen into a deep sleep. He goes back to the garden and carry's her on his back on his way to esthar. It was soo sweet of him. Also the Ragnarok Scene in space was a good one. And the Esthar Memorial scene ;0!

My favorite touching scene would have to be when Squall saves Rinoa from floating away up in space. It's amazing how he risks his life to save her.
Also when they were in the ship together.
"I don't want the future. I want the present to stand still. I
just want to stay here with you..."
When Squall frees Rinoa in Esthar was pretty good. Also when Squall takes Rinoa to Esthar on piggy-back.
For me the most touching scene was during the ending with Laguna visiting Raine's grave and the flashback to him proposing to her. A simple scene, but done really well.
Yup that was very touching..... :'(
It was kinda hard to choose one..there are so many good scenes in this game.

I agree that the scene at Raine's grave and the consequent flashback was beautiful and touching. I also really liked the scene when Squall saved Rinoa. The other one was when Squall and Rinoa were talking at the orphanage and he thinks "Even if you end up as the world's enemy, I'll... I'll be your knight."
So cute and loyal!

Aeris' death on FFVII. Oh, I know it's cliché, but back there I was shocked the first time... so sad.
Many scenes with Squall and Rinoa (FFVIII, when it comes to romantic, is epic)
Tidus and Yuna's kiss on FFX
Ashe and Rasler's scenes on FFXII
These are the ones I remember now...

The camcorder footage that plays during the end credits on FFVIII is one of my favourite scenes in an FF game ever. I remember when I played that game in 1999 when it first came out I watched that sequence (and the whole ending actually) with my jaw on the floor. The animation was so believable, so natural looking, and it was accompanied by what I still think is the best ending theme in the series.
I just think it was amazing how they managed to so clearly communicate the emotion of the scenes without using any dialogue whatsoever.
It still impresses me even now!

I totally agree. It was definitely touching in a different way than the others, but touching in the way that they have enough peace now to relax and joke around with each other. And poor Zell, finally gets his hot dog and chokes on it, lol.

the most touching part for me was:
The ending where you see Squall walking in the desert hoping for his friends to find him and save him. It really touched me because he was first like : damn I dont give a fuck about anyone bla bla bal and then he changes ( because of Rinoa ) and starts thinking I trust them and they will find me but in the end... he dies... Or he doesnt? because he kisses Rinoa in the very end so... who knows?

1- " she was a true patriot " or something like that , when Snake stood on Boss's grave and Eva was explaining the true story and the logic behind Boss's action ... I was depressed for 3 days, I could not believe how loyal she was :'(
2- " but never forget them " the ending CG of FFX, Yuna speaches on Luca .... I am sure u all know this quote, the last sentence really touched me
3- when Rinoa was lost in space and she was hopless, suddenly her necklaces went up and she saw Squall's ring then her tears spreaded in the air :'(

^This. The ending actually made me shed some tears. Mostly because it was my first FF and I was just so sad the journey was over, but also because of how happy I was that things ended well and the change you've seen in Squall. Only other games I shed tears in were MGS4 and FFX.

FFVIII? I wasn't moved by any of the sequences that tried to be touching. I found them silly rather than touching. However, I did get caught up in the story of the Garden and the students' mission to kill the sorceress. After the second disc it just fizzles out.
Most moving sequence in gaming? That would have to be the great post-credits ending in Final Fantasy Tactics, in which Delita meets Ovelia on her birthday in the ruins of Zeltennia Castle and hands her a bouquet; she proceeds to stab him, fearing he was using her as he was using Ramza. Wounded, he manages to stab her and kill her.
What makes the scene touching and tragic is, of course, that she was unaware of what we, the audience, are made fully aware of -- that Delita is genuinely in love with her. Fulfilling his ascent to power, he walks amongst the ruins and looks up to the sky, asking out loud; "Did you get your end in all this, Ramza...?" Holding his bleeding abdomen, he concludes; "....I got this."
I can't think of a more moving way to sum up the thesis of the entire story than that one small post script. First rate imagination.
