Somebody on NeoGaf points out the similarities between the Beast on the right to Chaos from Final Fantasy(first one). If it is him though it would make the girl more easily seen as the Princess instead of Shiva or another female summon because summons weren't in FFI.

Yes I liked Enrgheiz it had a guy that shot missiles from his knee caps. The Bouncer is only great if you like 40 minute games stripped of all there features (took out jumping, breaking objects, grabbing, etc). Still one of the most beautiful games on the PS2 easily. I love my copy no matter how short it is, oh i wish it was Fighting Force 3 though.

For Amano: Garnet and Celes, Bartz and that boy from II can't remember. For Nomura: Cloud and Sora, Volt, hume face 5(i think) FFXI, and even zell somewhat. I believe the old Zidane from Amano is superior without a doubt.

Am I the only one who thinks Dissidia sounds like the most shameful FF cash-in yet? Sorry to be negative, but this seems like something cooked up by Square's marketing department with the sole purpose of exploiting the FF name and characters in order to make some quick money.

I really, really wish Square would focus more on new, original series and characters instead of continually dragging the FF name through the mud. The Last Remnant seems pretty good, but they need to be doing more - they can't just rely on FF.

Yes, shame about the voice acting. Zidane is naruto but I guess 16 year olds sound like that. Kuja wasn't so bad though. Warrior of Light and Chaos made me puke because of their humdrum performance.

Now onto the combat. Do they even use the floor? Gliding around and having your moves interrupted by cutscenes doesn't sound anywhere near as "exciting" as they love to make it out as.

The main song playing did have a nice main theme but the rest of it was pretty so-so. This could be because of the lack of unique instruments and jungle beat.

This one is a much better representation of him. Less of those sharp edges Nomura seems to love now too Dissidia Squall is sharp for no reason. Look at the hair.

It's like DBZTenkaichi fighting mixed w/Final Fantasy and the characters come together like the SSBB story line. Graghics are great and I can't wait for it to come out. Well, yeah she was kinda, but they could've added more scenes with her towards the beggining, just to give you a clue. They could be completely random then, as long as they made sense later. We haven't got a clue why she wanted to compress time at all, it was just kinda random.

I am really excited for this one, I am a hardcore sony fan and I'm really happy that there's a lot of final fantasy games coming for the psp. I really enjoy the fighting type games, like Naruto, and I feel this is going to be great. It mixes my love for rpg's and two on two fighting games. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

I was checking the official site to see how much they've progressed on the game in the last year I haven't bothered even paying attention to the game, and lul'd when I found out the added Jecht to the characters. I could see Seymour, or Auron, or some other significant character, but Jecht never really stuck out there other than the old man Tidus whined over for 90% of the game. But who knows, maybe they won't screw this up.

I'll end up buying this game probably. It looks decent so far, for a fighting game and the graphics look nice. And their character selection so far doesn't look too bad, but I'm hoping they put more variety in there. On the officials, I didn't see much to choose from, unless they aren;t done updating yet.

That's what their doing. 10 titles × 2 characters each = a total of 20 characters. And they did say that there is only going to be 20 characters. Very limited but adding more characters to the game, hero or villian, would mean more to the story and possibly more characters which just isn't possible when it comes down to how much they can add for the PSP.

Still when you think about it Celes is a good candidate too. And she is more the opposite of Kefka than Terra. They both were magitek experiments. Kefka went mad, but Celes stayed sane. And they are both generals. Celes has probly known Kefka longer. And at the end of the game Terra doesn't want to fight. But I do agree Terra is still a better candidate.

I like how they basically combined Tetsuya and Amano's designs for all the characters ^_^. I love Sephy's design even better than the Compilation design ROFL! Tidus's is awesome too! I like Sephy's though cuz, 1, The single-pauldrons don't make him look so "bulky" like the double-pauldrons he has in the Compilation design, 2, there's more silver on him to balance out with his black coat and 3, his Dissidia design seems more striking to me (and a bit hi-tech-ish LOL). Tidus' design makes him look just plain badass ROFL! Still, all the designs I've seen are pretty awesome. I did see the gameplay footage and I think it looks really fun. I so can't wait for this game! I hope they pull that simultaneous release!

In the trailer when they show all the heroes there's a female figure to the farthest right, presumably Terra, YAY!! And apparantly in the trailer Kefka says something about a female 'friend'. It could be Celes, but it's probably Terra. But Celes rocks too!!!!!

Terra's slightly more likely as she has the whole Esper transforming-thingy which is comparable to limits/junctioning/trance/etc. I can't see Runic working very well in Dissidia.

The big debate really is whether she'll have green or blonde hair.

I love the concept art but hate how she looked in FMV on the PS1 version intro, she looked all stringy and pale. Hopefully they sort that out.

I think that was more the limitations (kinda) of the system. I'm pretty certain she'll look less gaunt this time. Could you tell the differenct between Celes and Terra in those FMV's by the way? I certainly couldn't...

But surely you can see a large financial difference between releasing a game overseas at all, and re-releasing it a year later with slight modifications. I know which wave is worth the effort compared to the risk.

It took me until my 2nd playthrough (and I knew what parts of the story they were referencing) to get that they were two different characters, crappy FMV's.

And yeah it was just that, I mean they left out Terra's cape probably because they couldn't be bothered to animate it, looking at that blurry screen it looks like her cape is present and correct.

I can see the difference, I was just showing how I can see why some people are worried that it won't come out here. I think I already stated previously I know we're getting it.
