i think that its best to wait. i heard a lot of positive talk of the game and itll be good for us if we wait.

@scott114: as for XIII, itll probably take a little longer because according to the recent game informer magazine and other sources, xiii wont be out until 2009 around this time in Japan. so itll be a while before we see xiii in the US and Europe.^_^

To be fair, there's a lot of dialogue in Dissidia, more than CC apparantly, however much that is. And think yourself lucky you're getting it then, people from the EU and Australia are going to have to wait another 6 months at the very least. In fact, I wouldn't actually consider 6 months that long anyway, but a year definetely is <_<

By the way, what makes you think it would take 2 years to localise XIII ? I'm sure I've heard them say they're actually trying to shorten the time between release dates.

People are so unbelievably wrong to call Squall emo it's not even funny. And it's true, while Cloud wasn't as much of a hardass as Squall was in his respective game, he nevertheless only becomes an emo sod thanks to that genius masterpiece that is AC. Personally Zezlar I don't take any consideration of it and try to pretend it doesn't exist. The whole thing was just some godawful nightmare which seemed very real.

Wow, haven't posted in sooo long LOL! Well, I say, I have fallen so MADLY in love with Dissidia and I swear I watched that Opening on YT so many damn times that one fateful and drastically amazing Thursday XP. I am a Cloud fan as I love FFVII but, for the record, I never called Squall "emo" (just clarifying here XD). I can't find interest in playing FFVIII, BUT, I still respect Squall as a character as he probably is fun to play as ^_^. I can't wait to play all their storylines and I haves a PSP so all i have to do is wait... Guh. That's gonna be REALLY hard to do LOL! I'm also lookin forward to playing as Terra, she's so CUTE! I just played thru both Squalls and Tera/Tinas stories... I skipped all scene to save me from visual spoilers but I'm loving the game.

Recently I've just been gathering PP and lvling Squall like crazy... till I got him to 100 and did the same with Tera/Tina... since then I just downloaded a save with the characters all at 100 and unlocked and play multiplayer with my cousins...

FF freinds would be a great thing to have atm O_o

I like the Break system and HP attacks overall because it totally made sense. Have more Bravery than your opponent, the more damage you can inflict. Although using and actually hitting with an HP attack brings your Bravery down to 0 for a moment, leaving you vulnerable to be Broken by them.

To find the summon in the Customisation menu, go to this 召 under Accessories.

Sephiroth is good. You just have to give him the right abilities. The villains take extra work compared to the heroes. Seriously, if you have trouble using the heroes, there's something wrong because they are soooo easy to fight with.

I main Jecht and Firion. They rape things.

The only character I highly dislike is Ex-Death and Gabranth. They're terrible. But at least Ex-Death has HP attacks. Gabranth was a major disappointment.

I never consulted Gamefaqs for those. I do believe Sephiroth has a meteor ability. And no he doesn't have "Heartless Angel." These are just abilities that he is able to do in the FFVII games, not Kingdom Hearts. It's really up to you to decide which abilities are good. I may find one useless, but you can find them useful.

NOOJ. I don't know what kind of crack Nomura was smoking when he created Nooj. I like to think he did that so no one would think Auron was less cool, since Nooj seemed to be some kind of Auron replacement. Haha his interviews crack me up sometimes.

Well actually the average amount of HP attacks that each of the characters have is around 4 (some more, some less)! For my Sephiroth I have all of his HP attacks equipped. Octaslash for both air and ground, that one stab with multiple stabs and then one cut (effective when used at the right time to cut the enemy off guard). That attack where he comes down with his blade from above and stabs them to the if caught in it and then earth rises (best effective when enemy is caught in your blade. And finally Black materia which is most eefective if given enough time to power it up (since it becomes huge and pulls the enemy into it, but also a quick one if enemy is close to you and you can unleash it un expectedly.

I never consulted Gamefaqs for those. I do believe Sephiroth has a meteor ability. And no he doesn't have "Heartless Angel." These are just abilities that he is able to do in the FFVII games, not Kingdom Hearts. It's really up to you to decide which abilities are good. I may find one useless, but you can find them useful.

Exactly. Basically when your in EX mode just press the same buttons as you did to enter EX to do it (best used when enemy's brave points are high since the move brings it down to 1 and doesn't recover, also best used when you are far away). Another thing that's pretty cool about Sephiroth in EX mode is that since he gained his one wing, he can actually fly around the stage. Just hold down the X button after you jump and move around to fly around or just stay in one place and hover above the ground. About half of the characters in Dissidia have an added ability to them when you press the same buttons to enter EX mode when you're already in EX mode. Other characters also either have powered up attacks or can do something special.

ex.
-Kuja in EX: Those mini flares that float around can be used as a weapon to deal damage when moving around and burst to flames when he lands from above. Also, when he jumps in the air, flare spots appear behind him and then explode.

-Jecht in EX: His combos can continue even if none of them hit the enemy.

-Tidus in EX: On gound, Tidus runs REALLY fast, and he can run though MINOR incoming attacks and not take damage or flinch but just keep on running.

-Squall in EX: Attacks become double burst slashes that can break the opponents guard through the Explosion (doesn't work though for air attacks). Also the air attack where he shoots himself to the enemy increases in distance.

-Cloud in EX: All attacks break opponent's guard (including attaacks) since he gains a BIGGER BLADE.

-Onion Knight in EX: I'm pretty sure you can find this one out on your own.

-Cecil in EX: By pressing the same buttons used to enter EX mode he can willingly change between dark knight and regular (WHEN IN EX MODE).

-Cloud of Darkness in EX: No interruption occurs between her HP attacks so you can keep on using them without any pause.

-Ultimecia in EX: Casts a time warp when pressing the same buttons used to enter EX.

...........................and so on. Try out every character to find out other special abilities.

Yeah well, the english version will probably be more helpful for you in determining what equipment you want since buying them in the japanese version (mainly for getting the higher level equipment) is sooooo difficult for finding the right parts for them since you can't read them and thus properly find them. It's such pain and almost pointless. And so I have to obtain them in a random max difficulty computer fight for lvl 100 equipment.

Anyone else noticed some differences between the English and japanese versions during the gameplay scenes.

-Squall has a new air brave attack using blizzard and thunder at the same time. The only brave attacks Squall could use in the air were the one where he shoots himself towards the enemy and the one where he hits twice, kicks you down, and then does multiple burst stabs until he shoots you down. He was only able to cast fire, blizzard, and thunder combinations as ground attacks. This hints that characters in the English version will either have added moves or altered attacks from the japanese version.

-When the EX gauge was filled, it turns and flashes orange/yellow instead of remaining purple as it flashes.

Dude, that ALWAYS happens. Remember how FFV wasn't even released in America because the Japanese thought that we Americans were too stupid to understand the "complex" Job / Ability system in that game. The games are always dumbed down or made easier for we stupid redneck Americans who don't noe shi'ite.

Case in point: For Dirge of Cerberus they gave Vincent the ability to double jump, changed limit breaks to a consumable item, and changed "shoulder view" to pure first person view.

Case in point: in XII Japanese, Raithwall is the "Tyrant King." In XII English, they made him the "Dynast King." Ashe's line in front of Raithwall's Tomb, "Even though he was called the Dyanast King, he blah blah blah." It makes no sense, unless you know he was a Tyrant King. "Even though he was Tyrant king" makes more sense, if you know what I mean.
