It took me until my 2nd playthrough (and I knew what parts of the story they were referencing) to get that they were two different characters, crappy FMV's.

And yeah it was just that, I mean they left out Terra's cape probably because they couldn't be bothered to animate it, looking at that blurry screen it looks like her cape is present and correct.

The crappy FMV's were probably just half arsed-ness, say if you compare them to VIII, they could do them great. YAY cape :D Lol, I hope Zidane tries to flirt with her alot, I will feel cheated if that doesn't happen.

Maybe Lightning and Prince are secret/bonus chars like Cloud was in Final Fantasy Tactics. Im sure this game is going to have a sequel.

Sephirot is confirmed ..he appears fighting Squall ina trailler.
As for cloud...we only saw him togheter with all the other chars in the last trailler. We only can see his shadow.

----FFXII are Yoshida's characters. Not Nomura's or Amano's.

Not really. The Nomura characters still look like Nomura characters, they just have some tweaks that make them look a little more Amano. Squall and Sephiroth's weapons aren't any different so I don't see why Cloud's would be.

Not really. The Nomura characters still look like Nomura characters, they just have some tweaks that make them look a little more Amano. Squall and Sephiroth's weapons aren't any different so I don't see why Cloud's would be.squall and sephiroth's weapons were the same in the Amano art. cloud's was not. everyone knows the old amano cast of VII Aeris, Barret, Cloud, Red XIII. I do expect the old Amano machine sword (looks similar to the princes motor blade).

I don't think they will change the sword just because of the art.
Mainly because of the simbolysm it has, you know, passing the sword from Angeal to Zack, and then from Zack to Cloud, and the rest.
If they changed the sword it would be like giving him a whole different sword.

Yeah usually the female characters in these games are the faster ones, but because Nomura you know, really likes guys probably people like Zidane will have to step up to that sorta role. ;)

I think all their special moves will probably have equal fighting power, so as not to upset the gameplay... although I'm not so sure how fighting games are made exactly so I could easily be completely wrong.

Edea could easily be an alternate costume for Ultimecia, similar powers etc. same with Squall/Seifer, Cloud/Zack, Terra/Celes? I think any alternate costumes will hopefully be handled in that way.

The scans are a little too far to read, but there is a box on the third page that says "Check!" in it it lists "Other summons to be introduced":

There's a couple others but I really can't read the scans... ^^; Can you give me the link where you found those? I'm going to go check our local Lawson and see if they carry anything game related to check out, but it'd be great to know what magazines I'm on the lookout for. XD

They should add: Weiss (DoC: FFVII) -since he is not know that well and his ambition was pretty simple compared to the rest in the FFVII series.

Noctis and/or Lightning since in the translated first trailer it mentions that there have been 13 stories or something like that, and the 2 characters fit the battle system pretty well (only thing that would persuade SE not to add them is for spoilers).

Seymour from FFX since he was more of an Epic bad guy in FFX than Jecht and he had multiple forms that you had to fight.

Another character from FF3 who would have some of the other jobs that you could be (apart from what Onion knight already has).:):D^_^

:blink:...why in the name of Mike would you even think they would put in Aerith instead of Cloud...much less in any sort of combat based game?My distaste for Aerith aside, She is the least violent person in the game. Biggs and Wedge would make more sense. Not that you're the first person I've heard that from, but Cloud IS the MAIN character and it was always going to be him. Nothing against you but that just seems like a bizarre choice.

In other news: I still say Vann and Lightning are next in line when it comes to extra characters. Vann has gotten cooler since XII, in Tactics A2 he even has a shirt!!!:lol:

We've already seen a bunch of Lightnings attacks and heard her voice. Plus there's going to be a 90 minute demo with ACC 3 months later. I don't see how much they could give away by putting lightning in there as a secret character. She wouldn't be part of the story...just an extra.

It was a silver psp with the daxter game include and a 2gb memory stick. I sold it to buy a hardrive for my 360 and some games. I wish i had it now because my 360 is just sitting below my tv collecting dust and psp is coming out with some really good games.

I know that, I'm not fucking stupid. If you look at my older posts on this forum you'd know that I've edited posts before. The problem was that the image was so wide that it made the Edit button go off the screen and unable to be seen and therefore used.

I know someone at school who can speak Japanese, and there's a high possibility (actually I think I recall that she knows how) that she may be able to read/translate what is said in the Dissidia trailers and scans (I haven't checked but have there been any translated/english subbed trailers of Dissidia yet?). I'll be able to see her again this Wednesday after school at Anime Club (yes anime). Wish me good luck! There haven't been any translations for any of this yet right? Don't wan't to waste my time?

Well we still don't know if getting unlockable characters would add to the story. If so they won't do it. Besides, the only fighting that we've seen for lightning is stuff like aeriel attacks, casting fire, and that gravity control ability. Not enough to use in battles for Dissidia and they'd have give her one of the limit breaks that she has (aka spoiler). And as for Noct, we actually haven't seen any actual gameplay from Versus. So anything of him in battle Dissidia = spoiler for VXIII. Limit break too!
