I'm Taiwanese and I'm very proud and happy about it, though I still feel queasy when other people look at Asians with "the stare"

I'm from England which is one of the most dreary countries in the world -_- I suppose it's a pretty well kept country and we do have free health care but half of society here is chavs which though funny to laugh at are some of the most annoying people on Earth. The climate is just crappy with most the year just being grey skies and freezing cold. We don't even get snow though...just sleet...even our weathers boring.

I need to relearn the Chinese I was taught. It was soo painful in those classes! 2 hours on a beautiful Sunday trapped inside listening to a teacher yell Chinese words as us. :'( It's sad. I'm a Chinese girl who doesn't know her native language, but does know English and sits in a Spanish class and learns Espanol. I did get an English and Chinese new testament from a garage sale. ^_^

I know of people who don't know thier own language. I guess it's easier to understand it if your family says it around you and then you speak english or whatever at school, with friends, etc. That's what i've noticed between people who can speak several languages. I hate everything about english nationality. The truth behind english culture is, scarily, the stereotype of a normal english person. High society, snooty. We also have another disturbing side to us, which used to be the cockneys, but now ofcourse somewhere during the '90s that shifted to chavs. A bunch of idiot who think they grew up in the ghetto, having rap battles and going "brap" at every possible moment. So when you see what english nationality is, you can understand why no one wants to be involved.

Yeah. I know but when I went ther I bekame smarter and better educated. It made me a better person. Before I moved over ther I didnt do my homework, flunk test and curse at the teachers and my parents didnt know anything about it. Funnily enough, the best thing about this country is the migrant workforce we have. You ask a british person to take the time to become a doctor, they'd shun you away and go back to watching Trisha.
