She kind of did go into a depression. Have you seen 'Eternal Calm' the FFX-2 preview/prequel film? (It's about 20 minutes long, made up of scenes using the in-game engine, you can probably find it on Youtube). In it Yuna is seen to be having trouble moving on with her life, it's about 2 years after the climax of FFX, and the fact that she doesn't accept Tidus' death is stopping her from progressing. Essentially her life has stopped - very similar to being in a state of depression. It's only when Rikku shows up with that strange 'Tidus' sphere that she snaps out of it and decides to do something.

How is Yuna a 'slutbag'?? She is a lot more self-assured in FFX-2, but I would think saving the world in FFX would do wonders for someones confidence. I mean, it's not like she goes around throwing herself at every man she meets, she remains faithful to Tidus the entire time. What always annoys me in games like this is that the characters never change their clothes - they wear the same outfit the entire time, regardless of the kind of environment they're in. Like in FFX, would Lulu really try climbing the snow covered Mount Gagazet in a full-length dress?

And yes, FFX-2 did have a decent battle system, it was probably one of the best things about the game, actually.

When i watched the intro, i was majorly freaked out, i seriously had to re check because i thought that weed i'd been smoking earlier had gone to my head.

But it was true.
I hated the stupid change, and the way the made her come across as this completely opposite woman.
Rikku was the same, but just decided to be a stripper in that two year absense as it seemed.
I liked Paine though, she was the most believable out of the three, and she was the only secluded game character i knew who didn't seem to dive into self harm.

And the re-harsh and simple lazyness of how they used the worlds, and not even updating anything besides those fucking annoying camera angles, i almost shot myself. :aldo:

What we could consider to be slutty looking might be quite normal for them. If the fashion in the game was completely like ours then it wouldn't be as believable. Yuna is growing up, filling out, and becoming more confident her new dress reflects that. Same goes for Rikku except she was even younger; only 15. People don't stay the same especially in that age-time frame. Obviously I really liked the change. In X Rikku and Yuna were both young and cute. In X-2 they are little older and sexier because they are growing up. Oh, and Yuna is definitely not a bitch or "slutbag", and neither is Rikku. Yuna and Rikku spend the whole game trying to help people and do what's right. Grant it they don't really know how to, but dammit they are trying. A true bitch in my opinion would never help people for any reason unless it was beneficial to them in some way. And as for slutbag; Yuna isn't a slut period she spends the whole game looking for Tidus; one guy. And she doesn't do anything with anyone else. And like I said before if you pin it on the way she dresses, she is simply more confident with her self. She knows she's got it and she flaunts it. You just can't judge a book by it's cover. She isn't going to any business meetings, is she? That is her casual dress... And I like it.

Oh and I think it would have been cooler if you could choose who you wanted to run around as, and I thought it would have been cool if they could keep whatever clothes on that they had in battle, outside the battle and in cut scenes and such. Running around Spira in a Moogle, Cait Sith, or Tonberry costume would have made the boring parts of the game a lot more amusing.

I think I actually liked Yuna better in X-2. She was more outspoken and much more confident than she was in X. If she didn't change, for better or worse, it wouldn't justify two years of growth. It's only natural for everyone to change, although she does dress a bit skimpy, look at Ashe in XII, but it never bothered me.

In the steps that were necessary to turn her from a sub-heroin into the main character,
they pulled her personality from what it was, added a touch of ティーダ and ended up
with someone that seemed to fit the ideal role of a new final fantasy main character,,

The real change of Yuna begun when she decided to continue the pilgrimage, even if the cleargy is not with here. Her desire to defeat Sin overcome duty and rules, thanks to Tidus too, not only the other guardians.

Sin is gone, now begin the real life...and what ? She's still stuck in Besaid. Without Tidus and his love. With no life to live, except for free driving and nothing more. They fought not only for Spira, but for her too, so Yuna can see more sunsets as she likes, so she can live a real life.

But two years are passed, and the people of Spira is always the same. Wakka, for example: not a question about if she really wants (or not) to see people all over the world, just "three months of dates". But Rikku has the solution !

And Yuna takes the chance of live a real life, a chance to see him again, start a new journey not for someone else, but for her story !

Say goodbye not to the old Yuna, but to the "bad" one, the one who's always thinking about others and not her, about the fact that others can be disappointed of what she do.

She change her outfit, and try to have fun with Rikku and Paine, but when Spira is in dangerous again, she's the same as always ! And this time the fight is more difficult, because Aeons are not with here, 'cause the chance to see Tidus again is not so sure and she has to prove that the former Summoner is strong and determinated.

Watching at the prequel movie, the moment she said to Rikku "I'll go" and the way she said "Rikku let's go" it's a sign how she wants to change and move on, with hope to see him again. Personality, I think it fit. She was still essentially the same person, but since she no longer had the weight of Spira on her shoulders, she had no reason to hold back on herself.

Besides, her new look fit with the style of the game, so it all works out, no matter how you look at it.

I like Yuna in X and X-2
I don´t think that she was shy in X, she was only quiet, not shy.
In x-2 her character has something from rikku, but i like it. She has fun in her life, but she is still a friendly person <3
