I personally think this anime is over credited. :P I dont hate it, i just think its well overated...I didnt find it that interesting. I watched 20 epsiodes once when i was bored out of my mind and the amount of flashbacks just killed me.

im a HUGE narto fan but i dont really get mad when people say some things negitive about it, there are a lot of flashbacks and when u've watched every episode like me it does get annoying, but the story and the chacaters are awsome so i dont mind it

i would also like to no, if u watched in in english or japanese?

I can't say I'm a fan of the anime, i loved the manga, until the jump 3 years in the future part. My problem with flashbacks in the anime's compared to manga is definity the length but there are exceptions. berserk manga flashback 13 volumes(i believe), anime was the flashback only.

i actually think rock lee is annyoing and i usally skiped any stories it had with him, i hated the voice acting of naruto, sauske, sakura, and itachi in the english version but i did like the voices of kakashi and Oorchimaru cause thery were people knew

I've watched a few of the episodes in English and it wasn't that bad. Where I live you see a lot of people wearing Naruto apparel. Like I said it was ok but I couldn't see myself watching a lot of it.

When these fillers are over, we have Kakashi Gaiden (kakashi and Gias past) and back to the oringal storyline. I'm alughing at the UK version though escpecially 'BELIEVE IT!'....makes me shudder.....

I enjoyed the storylines of Naruto and saw way it was so popular. But yes the flashbacks are pretty lame, espicailly the 7 minute scene of Sasuke's parent's murder which was taken straight from a previous episode and dumped un-editted into another.

I stopped watching the fillers as they drain my heart and soul. I understand why they did it, but for a year 0_o.

I do like Naruto's little sphere move thing though I wish he'd hurry up and learn to do it with one-hand, the way he does it ruins the effect.

Naruto is just a kids cartoon. I can't see why it has become so popular. I watched a few episodes and found it to be very dull. Naruto himself was just an annoying little punk and most of the other characters were typical genre stereotypes. I have seen episodes in both English and Japanese and the way they Americanised it for western audiences (stupid catchphrases, abysmal nu-metal theme music etc) is practically an insult to the original source material.

I think people watch it just because they think the fact it's anime makes it 'cool'. Not all anime is good, there is just as much rubbish as quality out there.

It's just that I think there are plenty of other anime series out there that are much better but don't receive anywhere near the amount of hype as Naruto.

I perfer reading the manga, it has more effect in emotion. like with the Sasuke vs Naruto arc, i cried. Of course i was listening to sad music while i was reading it. lol

Many of the characters are too stereotypical and a bit predicatable. The overabundance of protagonists with innately super-human powers, strife-filled pasts, clumsiness, and over confidance - hence not only Naruto, but also Ichigo, Inu Yasha, Mugen, etc. - just seems a bit too bland. With the addition of other stereotypes - Sasuke mirroring Ishida, Sesshoumaru, Yuki, etc.; and Sakura mirroring Kagome, Inoue, Ringo, etc. - the unoriginality just continues.

And yet, perhaps that's what we enjoy: these quick and easy to understand-and-think-over, immediate gratifications. They have their certain moments with cool fight scenes, unique character designs, and interesting plot lines although the basic foundations are always the same.

Although Naruto may be tasty on the outside, maybe something a bit more original will pop up one day.

Cliche. Too cliche. And Naruto annoyed the HELL outta me. God, grow up. The only characters I liked were Kakashi for his personality, and Neji for the same reason. Every else is, like Yurian said, predictable. And utterly annoying.

I'd rather watch a gunslinger shoot vampires until their blood runs out than watch a brat practice Japanese magic for days on end.
