Army of One / Last Resort

What's so special about these moves aside from their "flashiness"? Army of One doesn't seem to do much damage (only 700-1000 when they're Staggered), and neither does Last Resort. I'd like some clarification on these, as I don't enjoy wasting CP :<

You use them when a target is Staggered to quickly raise their chain percentage.

The attack is also multi-hit. For instance, Army of One does 11 hits. If you combine it with her ATB recharge weapon (tier two regains 20% of 1 ATB slot per hit) you basically regain half of the ATB gauge, making Lightning's turn come twice as fast.

Same thing goes with Lucky Breaker chain ability. 11 chances to trigger per turn.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but all those "special" moves each player has completely empties out any chain bonus accrued on targets that are hit. It's explained in the blurb about the skill from the menu. Personally I use them when the target is almost out of stagger, e.g. Fang's special hits three times, but if you use it while they are staggered, a decently leveled Fang will do 99999x3. Hope that helps.

Haha, you are right and I jumped the gun. To be specific, each of those moves do something special.

Soverign Fist and Highwind: Massive damage and deplete the Stagger gauge (like you said.)

Army of One and Cold Blood: Increases chain bonus on target once staggered, alot (like you said in your first post.)

Last Resort: Not 100%, but similar to Army of One and Cold Blood, but AoE.

Cold Blood is actually very useful in charging up the guages of the adamantoise and its counterparts when it has fallen over before it has staggered. It usually charges around 100 per use and probably helps me kill them alot quicker than I though because of the increase when staggered.

I just made this account to tell you that when you're telling someone they're wrong and act so pretentious, it's sort of necessary to know the difference between you're and your. You're is a contraction for you are.
I'm glad to know that "he is word,"but it would be lovely if you said something that made grammatical sense. And that somehow how many times someone posted affects whether or not their word "counts" for something.

I began using lightning as my main player for spamming mission 31 and farming simply because of army of one and i have a maxed helter skelter on her (chapter 11)

this move is awesome and breaks stuff and prevents mobs from using tornado and some big hits iff you hit em and stagger them fast like the Centurion in 31 he wont knock you all down. faster 5 star without preemptive on that mission.

What about Vanille's Death? What's the chance of it actually working? I got all excited about it, but then it NEVER worked for me. (Only tried it on about 10 different battles.)

Death is 1% chance but gets boosted by things like Faith and Imperili. Cant remember exactly but it will be contained in the link in my sig.
