Not like it's a surprise. They said "Oh, we're in talks with Microsoft" from the get-go. FFXI is on the 360. There's no reason not to. It was bound to happen sooner or later. :wtf:

I have nothing against the "online" FF`s to be on x360 as well as on ps3. But it really hurt me to see a normal FF game on xbox, it just did not feel right

Before FFXIV was announced, didn't Square Enix say Rapture would be on PC and 360?

Regardless, I'd be surprised if it didn't end up on the 360 at some point. Sony probably paid for temporary (console) exclusivity though, so an announcement probably won't be made until after the game is released.

They could put it exclusively on the Master System for all I care though, I don't think I could get any less interested.

If this happens, I hope its two years late or something for the 360. I have both consoles. I'm not a big fan of multi-platforming major past exclusives. Some are for it...Some are against it...It's your opinion either way. I like Halo for my XBoX (yes, the 360 has many more excellent exclusives. This is all I choose to play for the system right now)...I liked Final Fantasy, MGS, GoW, Killzone, and Uncharted for my Playstation. I don't want to see Halo on PS3 just as much as I didn't want to see Final Fantasy on 360.

I'm praying the lines won't become blurred. I enjoy the unique qualities and exclusives the systems have to offer. It offers way more variety as a consumer. I don't want to just go buy "Game System A" with all of the titles on the same system. I understand the game developers make more money by spreading their resources, but I like having the opportunity to choose between the PS3, 360, and Wii.

Don't be stupid. GoW 3 was published by Sony. But outside of situations like that, yes, I believe we'll be seeing a lot of multiplatforming. It's more profitable, and the 360 and PS3 have such similar specifications that it's not as big a deal as it used to be.
