Come on we all have played a game that makes you tear your hair out.

Platform Games are the worst. :nag:

One of them was Glover for the N64. Not only was the game frustrating and tedious, the game was just god-awful. Devil May Cry is hard as well, but at least its fun and enjoyable, unlike Glover was.

BLACK for PS2. God, it requied absolutely no brain activity to play. Run, point, click, rinse and repeat. And if there is an obstacle, it gives you no clue as to how to get past it. In the chapter where you had to gain entrace to an asylum, there was a giant stone block in front of the door, and guys spawed every few seconds. I spent sooo long trying to figure out how to get in. You couldn't jump in the game (yeah I know, WTF?!) so I tried going around the building. Dead end. I spent over 30 min trying to get in. At the end, it turns out all I had to do was blow the damn rock to pieces using grenades. -_-

I personally have never played an all around frustrating game, just certain parts of games, like the final boss on Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, that fight seemed unbeatable for a LONG time.....

I thought that Metroid Prime 1 was WAY TOO EASY...If you wandered around for 5 min. without knowing what to do, they gave you a hint.:nag: 2 was WAY better, in terms of length, storyline, and Difficulty.

Unlimited Saga....the videogame equivalent of banging your head against a brick wall. It is one of the hardest, most annoying, most user-unfriendly games I have ever played.

A shame really, as the visual style and music were great.

I've never played Unlimted SAGA. A lot of S-E fans I've seen think its the worst game ever made by S-E.

I've never played Unlimted SAGA. A lot of S-E fans I've seen think its the worst game ever made by S-E.

I can see why people would say that.

It's main problem is that it makes no effort whatsoever to explain the character advancement sytems / battle system / skill system etc. It is a very complex game that will not give you any help at all. I read the manual (which is very large) cover to cover twice and still some aspects of the gameplay remain a mystery to me.

It is also very, very old-school in design, if you go into it expecting it to be like FF where things are introduced to you gradually and the game begins easily to break you in gently, then you will be massively disappointed. Unlimited Saga throws you in the deep end at the very start, and expects you to know how everything works.

The game is actually very much like a board game (you move your character around a simple 2D grid rather than controlling a 3D character in a polygon based world) and this is one other reason why many people hate it - it's very much a throwback to the old table-top RPG's like Dungeons & Dragons, (except much more complicated and difficult) it is really not like a typical modern console RPG at all. The gameplay itself is full of annoyances, poor design choices and seems to take pleasure in punishing the player at every opportunity. Essentially, the game hates you.

I never finished the game, mainly for the reasons stated above, but the one thing it has in it's favour is it's awesome soundtrack. It was composed by Masashi Hamauzu (also composer for FFXIII) and has some of the most memorable game music I've ever heard, particularly the main theme tune and the battle music.

I seriously think you would have to be the hardest of the harcore or a complete masochist to actually be able to finish this game.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about Unlimited SaGa, it was the third title in the series, see, I own SaGa Frontier I and II...and those games alone mention a listing here. I've beaten the first once, through Red's quest, but I haven't managed to get that far in the 2nd. I own both games, but I find them to be kind of brutal. I strongly dislike the weapon-breakage in the second.

Dude I have to agree with Flint man the most annoying game I've ever played would have to be Unlimited Saga I took it back within the week, and yes it pretty much is the worse game ever created by S-E

Another game I have to ad to the list.

Rogue Galaxy

The game is awesome but its just hair-tearing whenever your in a battle and you get raped. A good word of advice, when you play this game, DO NOT let go of the controller cause your dead if you do.

I would have to add The Bouncer to the list of frustrating games. Not because it was difficult or anything (in fact it was pathetically easy), but just because it was a game that looked absolutely incredible in all the early gameplay videos and when it came out it was a huge disappointment. I remember seeing footage of the bar room scene at the start of the game and it had tables getting smashed, scenery being destroyed, loads of interaction and looked amazing, but when you play the finished game, none of that is in there. You can't use weapons, you can't smash any scenery, the enemies don't pick up the tables to throw at you, and it makes no sense - why did they remove all those really cool features? So it's frustration that the final game was obviously crippled for no real discernable reason.

It's not that hard. It's more long and tedius with exessive random encounters in HUGE maps than frustrating... Okay, yeah it is frustrating.

GTA: Vice City

Maybe it's just me, but San Andreas is a lot easier. YOU CAN'T CLIMB FENCES IN VICE CITY!!!!NOOOOOOOOOO! This makes escaping the cops a lot harder. Also, you can't inprove your vehicle skills (can you?) so you're stuck with the crap skills you start with. Same thing with your stamina. For some reason, I keep getting busted by the cops. Or dying from falling in in water. (YOU CAN'T SWIM?!) I did the fourth mission (a very simple and easy one. Basically consists of driving point A to point B to point C and killing a guy who runs slower than you walk) in the game 5 times before beating it, solely due to the fact that I kept getting busted by the cops. :nag: Seriously... AHHHHH!
