Fang question (will contain spoilers)

I was wondering, for those of you who speak Japanese and also have this game, why is that Fang did not turn into crystal? She has the mark of an l'Cie, but from what I have been able to (possibly) pick up, only the mark itself crystalized.

Wait, I just learned what the deal is with both Fang and Vanille. Topic = done.
