Motomu Toriyama, director of Final Fantasy XIII, has announced on the official European site that development of the English version of the game is now complete. He says that the English game was developed simultaneously with the Japanese version to ensure a smaller gap between Japanese and international releases. Apparently all they're waiting for is an approval of the master disc. It's a shame they can't bring the international release date forward.

The trailer includes full English voice acting and for the first time, Leona Lewis' track "My Hands" backing it. The Final Fantasy XIII Soundtrack website has been available for a few weeks now but it included an illusive "Movie" section which we weren't able to access. Until now. The first movie to be added to the section is a trailer for the soundtrack itself which is coming out in Japan on the 27th January. If random close ups of CDs and box artwork is up your street, then you won't want to miss this.
