Square-Enix president, Yoichi Wada announced that Final Fantasy XIII would be coming to America and Europe on Xbox 360 at Microsoft's E3 Press Conference two days ago. The Xbox 360 version of the game won't see light in Japan due to the abysmal sales the console is having in that region. However Xbox 360 owners over at 2chan are saying they feel "abandoned" by Square-Enix's choice to only release a Playstation 3 version of Final Fantasy XIII in their country.
Ironically, it seems that Square-Enix's attempts to "reach more fans" by releasing the game on Xbox 360 has hurt some of the fans they rely on in Japan. Although it would sell poorly, many other companies release games in Japan that sell only in the tens of thousands, such as Assassin's Creed which was even a timed 360 exclusive for a while. It is an expensive process to publish a game that very few people will buy, but I'm sure not all the Xbox 360 owners in Japan will make the move over to Playstation 3 to get this game.
